Good brushes especially for students and those who starts their journey in makeup. They work fine, they are soft, they don’t shed (very important,when you apply your makeup and end up picking hairs from your face) and good cleaning behavior. Only negative is the black rubber at the end of the handle, it become sticky and gross within months of use. I use Mod Podge matte to coat it. It work also with NARS packaging.

I have never had luck with stippling brushes and this is not exception. The bristles on this clump together which result in a streaky application of liquid products. I tried it with cream blushes but no. I also think this is one of the least comfortable RT brushes to hold. The weight is heavy at the end and it feels clumsy. Honestly I’ve grown tired of their candle stick handles as well.

I originally liked it although I found it quite small for foundation. Then…..it started shedding. Not just the odd hair here and there – HUGE clumps at a time. Maybe it’s a rare dud from RT but it’s got to go in the bin I’m afraid. Shame.

Update 10 November 2018:
Still my fav HG brush. I love to use MAC Pro Longwear concealer for covering my flaws everday (I only use foundation when going out at night). And it works this concealer so well into my skin. I tried working with a fluffy crease brush by Real Techniques but it made my flaws not disappear and the result was cakey, no matter how soft I blended the concealer into my skin.
I love to stipple it with this brush and the flaws are almost invisible. Even setting my face with this brush and baby powder is wonderful. The bristles take just enough product for a flawless, pixel perfect result. I must confess I own it 3x just to be sure cause you never know when your HG product gets discontinued.
YES! HG brush for face! I use this for all kind of face products (foundation, concealer, powder, blush, highlighter,…) and the result is always a win. This brush gives me a good coverage, not sheer and not too much. My face is combo (normal-dry cheeks + oily T-zone) and tends to flake sometimes. I stipple the foundation from the brush on my skin til it’s a bit blended then I buff it very softly and the result is always like airbrushed. I use cheap drugstore foundation and I’m glad that RT Stippling Brush makes them look so fabulous on my skin. I tried with other makeup tools (flat foundation brush, flat kabuki, round kabuki, oval brush, makeup sponges) and I always come back to this because I can rely on good coverage and an amazing finish.
I own another stippling brush by KIKO but that is way to harsh. The one by RT has soft bristles which can’t harm my undereye area. That’s how soft they feel.
I don’t understand why people say stippling brushes give you a light coverage, I can’t confirm that. It gives you more than just a light coverage but it’s still looks natural and not cakey.
UPDATE 12/04/2018:
Dermacol Makeup Cover foundation looks amazing with this brush! I put some product on the back of my hand, spread it carefully a bit there and dip the stippling brush into it and stipple the product on my face. This foundation has a creamy, heavy consistency with other brushes but not with this one! The result is amazing! It’s like I have almost perfect skin (yeah, those pimples still like to show up like a mountain in harsh sunlight, but the redness is completely gone). I’d never thought you can achieve a flawless, natural finish with this foundation but the RT stippling brush is a miracle!
Oh and setting the face with it still works amazing! I use less powder but the shine is gone and the result is NOT A BIT cakey. The Expert Face Brush is nothing against the Stippling Brush.
PS: I want an RT Stippling Brush for lips, concealer, eyeshadow… I’m not kidding, I want a smaller version of this brush, Chapman sisters.

The only thing I really like this for is cream blush, but it does work beautifully for that purpose. When I got it I thought it might be more of a multi-tasker, so I was a little disappointed, but I am glad that I found one thing that it is great at. I had been applying my cream blushes with my fingers, but this is far superior as it diffuses the cream more evenly and really makes it look very natural (which IMHO is the point of cream blush vs. powder blush.) If this one broke or fell apart I would re-purchase it for sure.

OH MY GOD this is an amazing brush that makes your makeup look super flawless, I used this for liquid foundation, powder foundation and bronzer and it blends everything like a dream and makes your skin look soooo smooth, It also blends everything super quick but doesn’t leave behind any streaks like some brushes, I really think this will definitely without a doubt replace my beauty blender, my foundation brush and powder brush as it sooooooo good.
Another fantastic brush from real techniques at a great price!!

Awesome brush, way better than my MAC that streaked and shed constantly. This applies liquid foundation like a dream and with very little product. It hasn’t shed a single hair, and leaves zero streaks. A definite winner!

Great stippling brush, especially for the price point. It’s dense but doesn’t feel too rough on the skin. It is smaller, so I just work in smaller sections.
