I bought this brush so I’d have something to carry around with me to touch up my powder on the go. A lot of compacts are too slim to include a velour puff, so I wanted something that wouldn’t get muddied in my makeup bag, but I also didn’t want to spend a ton of money on something that was only meant for touchups.
I’m very pleased with this brush! The packaging feels sturdy, so I don’t worry about the cap coming off, and the sheath that slides over the brush hairs to protect them from the cap is a great addition. The brush feels soft on the skin, and picks up just the right amount of powder.
I paid $6 for this at Target, which is a great price.
I also appreciate that this is synthetic, as I don’t use animal hair brushes.

This is a product that i wasn’t super keen on buying in the first place, but i thought the idea of having a retractable, compact kabuki brush seemed like an excellent idea so i thought, hey why not? Also… it was in irresistibly cute packaging… so i purchased one on the spot, and now after testing it, it is the softest, fluffiest brush ever! I almost didn’t want to use it on my face with makeup on it because it is literally the best, softest brush I’ve ever experienced – and i didn’t want to wreck it with makeup! Rubbing it against your skin is almost a heavenly feeling. While i am a fan of sigma, i am going to be getting several of these so i can be sure i always have one in case i lose one or something! Perfect retractable brush!

Will be rebuying and I really like this.
Beautiful brush that does a great job with all-over face powders. The brush is retractable, soft and “fluffly”
It doesn’t matter how you wash it, it still holds up and lasts. Great brush!

I’ve had it for around three years, during which it has been used daily for application of mineral powder. It still looks like new, no shedding. I wash it with shampoo frequently, cleans up amazingly. The bristles are soooo soft, I used a goat hair brush before and didn’t notice how coarse it was until I had to use it again because the teddy bear was wet…and I couldn’t believe the difference. Even though it’s expensive, this brush payed itself over and over again.

Hands down, the prettiest and best brush that I have every used or felt. It has a cute story with the teddy bears too!
Usually, I use this for my traveling brush or touch up in public. It is so fluffy that you can use it for pretty much anything.

This brush is multitasking and perfect. It’s one of the few face brushes I use anymore (I don’t use liquid foundation). I use it when it’s twisted halfway for powder foundation and it buffs in very well. I also use it when it’s completely twisted out for finishing powder and it works well too. It’s one of the softest brushes ever, and the packaging is a really cute pink too. This brush is incredibly high quality and I can tell it will last me a very long time. The price is a bit steep, but the fact it’s high end and retractable justifies it, at least for me.

Amazing brush. Super soft and amazing on the face. I use it for my finishing powders like chanel les beige and hourglass ambient light. Always gives me a great light finish, never picking up too much product. Also I have yet to see it shed, so I’m happy with it. Worth every penny.

All together, a great brush. Soft yet firm enough to give a good medium coverage. I used it with bare minerals or to set my foundation when I wear liquid. Blends everything well. I LOVE that it is retractable, keeps it sanitary, especially because I am always on the go. Love it!

A great brush which really helps to smooth and even out my foundation. The bristles are soft and the fact that it is retractable is great!

The brush is really dense, so I like to use it for both blushers and bronzers. I think it picks up just the right amount of product always. I don’t know how it does it, but I never accidentally overload product onto my face. The product goes on seamlessly. It applies bronzers and blush SO beautifully; I don’t know where my makeup starts and begins. Although I don’t have much use for changing the shape with the retractor thing, I like that it has that option. I also like that it retracts because it lets the brush keep it’s shape and keeps the brush away from any external bacteria. The brush has a slight angle to it, which I especially love for blush. It hugs the cheekbone really nicely. It’s such nice quality that I can’t believe I got it at such a low price.

Great brush for using on my bronzer palettes (eg MakeUpRevolution), the bristles are soft yet dense. I love this brush!! It was a bday gift but they run approx ~$10 at Kroger. High quality low price really gr8 when I find DS gems! ALL of the RT brushes I own are high quality for $50 u can set urself up w a bunch of the basic brushes u need. Remember it’s the skills of the user but nice tools do help 😉 practice makes perfect!

Now seeing as this is the only make up brush I own, I probably don’t know what makes a good make up brush. Every morning I use this to apply loose mineral foundation and yes it does the job brilliantly, it applies my foundation well and looks even. It is lovely and smooth, the bristles don’t fall out, doesn’t waste any of the foundation powder, easy to clean, and I’m glad I bought a retractable brush because I have a weird obsession with not letting dust fall on things so at least I can put the lid on this when I am done. This has done everything I wanted it to do, so no complaints here!
EDIT// One thing that does annoy me is that I can’t clean inside the tube in which the brush retracts into which means old foundation residue and bacteria stays there, its still a good brush but if you worry about things like this (just like me) then this isn’t great.

Maybe I got a dud, but mine broke after the second use. The brush itself came out of the retractible packaging. Secondly, the clear plastic lid not only looked cheap but also cracked within days. I didn’t get to find out how good the actual brush was since it so easily fell apart. I’m not impressed and will be avoiding this brand from now on.

great price and a great brush! i use this for powder foundation. at first I found it a tad small for an all-over face brush, but now I appreciate how it gets all the contours of my face due to it’s particular size and shape. holds up well with no shedding so far. love this brush!

I use this brush for my blush, because it sits right on the apples of my cheeks. It picks up the right amount of product and blends nicely. I have noticed when I wash this brush (I use baby shampoo) it keeps the smell, where as all my other brushes do not. It stays wetter for a lot longer, an the smell isn’t too nice when mixed with makeup. But it’s a minor inconvenience considering the great job it does!

After a year and a half I still use this brush! Flawless, natural finish you can’t beat! I use it with my studio fix powder and it just looks so smooth. You receive beautiful results vs. the prepackaged sponge provided with it. Love finding great quality products. The only thing I disliked is that my retractable case fell apart but I guess that was due to my poor handling. I still use it regardless.

I adore this Kabuki. The packaging is SO adorable. It’s honestly the cutest thing ever. The brush itself is insanely soft and high quality. It applies my mineral foundation so beautifully and evenly, giving my skin a soft airbrushed look. It’s all in the brush – my foundation just doesn’t look the same without this gem. I love that it’s retractable – it fits inside my tiny DAily makeup bag for touch-ups on the go. The packaging is also very sturdy yet lightweight metal, so I know the brush will be safe and will stay closed in my bag. This brush has quickly climbed it’s way to #1 fav. Xoxo

This is a very pretty on-the-go brush. It is super soft, and the packaging is great. I don’t feel it picks up a lot of product, though, which is why I’m not giving it full marks. Still, quite satisfied with it, particularly since I got it off eBay at a bargain.

Love this for blush, grabs just the right amount of blush and size is just right for my cheeks. For a long time I used MAC 168 for blush, and other MAC and other high end brushes for everything, but didn’t love them, and then started exploring drugstore ones, and definitely love a lot of them for sure. My other favorites for blush are ELF angled and Ecotools (the one that comes in a 5 pc set, I like it better than the one sold alone). But this RT retactable is the best. I tried it for powder, but the angled thing is just not working for me, I am happy with Ecotools retractable brush for that. Would repurchase if lost or broken definitely.

Just love these brushes. Best I’ve tried and not that expensive 🙂 HG!

PERFECT! I use this as a powder brush, a bronzer brush and for blusher! I’ve even used it to apply foundation once before and it looked perfect!
