I have the metal version, but the brush head is the same as the non-metal version. I like this brush a lot. It is big, and I find that to be a huge bonus. It is also fairly-soft-yet-dense-enough, so it is great for applying loose powder. I’ve washed it several times, and each time I wash it it easily retains its shape, even though due to its size and density it can take a while to dry (like 16-18 hours, probably.) I don’t think I would like this for pressed powders, but since I only set with loose it is a great tool for me to have. I wish it were a wee bit softer, but overall it is not bad at all.

This brush is below average. I cant use it without it removing my base products. Its a pass.

I was originally too harsh on this brush. Its great for sweeping loose powder all over the face. Feels soft while doing that. The issue was that I was looking fot a step up in quality from the real techniques powder brushes and this was not it. I’d say this is the same quality. But compared to the large powder brush from Real techniques, this one is softer and better shaped. Both feel a bit prickly if you try to stipple with them, so I would suggest to use in sweeping motions. It feels soft used like that. Didn’t move my foundation.

Since I consider the Real techniques brushes to be the new average for quality, this ranks average in quality as well. On the pro’s side, the brush is very beautiful and feels sturdy.
