I baught this for a friend for a gift. And we’ll just say that it is a good thing she was only looking for face brushes. This set seemed to have more for all over face rather than eye brushes.
Price point. Just on that thought I would rather buy one of their other brushes and get the styles needed. Rather than a set that had to many brushes that were not needed.
I would not buy again… Since you can clean brushes!!!! And buy the time these need to see the trash wet and wild will have a new set out to try!
Buy only what you will use. Or go half in with a friend and split up the brushes according to what you both need, like , or collect.

Beautiful brush set! Love the synthetic hair on these…handles are slightly weighted with a spot for your fingers. Some work better than others, but over all they are awesome for the price…no shedding but they do take some work to clean.

These are gorgeous & all but when I replaced their pink/white brushes w/ these, I noticed the blending brush is really flimsy which causes me to blend longer AND it sheds like 3 bristles at a time! The eyelid brush is also really flimsy but it can do the job eventually. The highlighting brush is fine but the other face brushes are scratchy. Too bad.
I’d say buy their pink/white brush line instead.

Since these brushes are now available on Wet ‘n Wild’s website individually in Rose Gold, I figure a review is worthwhile. As another user noted, these are not the most expensive brushes quality wise, but a considerable step up from the white and pink brushes they had.
Most are reasonable and a few are great. I got these on sale but I am annoyed that the price is so much higher online, and the full set is almost 5x what I paid. They are very pretty, in general a bit hard to keep clean, the larger face brushes are decent weight and nice full brushes. Each handle has a nice finger rest for precision application. I’ve washed them weekly and had no shedding or issues with loose glue, I’ll see how they hold up.
The Precision Foundation Brush is the standout of the bunch, and it does a beautiful job of applying every type of foundation I own. I did notice that my concealer seems to stain the brush more than any foundation, but I wash it after I use it for the next day. The unique shape and the softness of this make it a winner for me.
The Large Powder Brush, Fluffy Blending Brush, Tapered Blending Brush, and the Tapered Highlighting Brush are all equally nice. They work well with powder products and seem to be easy to clean. I find the tapered brush perfect for applying nose highlight. Both the eye brushes pick up shadows well, and are great at blending in the crease. I’m lucky that mine aren’t scratchy like another user experienced, but fair warning that the online versions have two toned hairs and may not be the same.
The Dome Pencil Eye Brush is almost perfect, it’s a bit too precise for my crease but great under the eye or outer V. I hope they eventually expand and create a larger version of this. It just takes a bit more blending but it does apply powerful pigment right where you want it. I used it with a very bright Colourpop Super Shock shadow and it seems to work well at applying them in small areas without losing too much color.
I haven’t tested the other four with enough products yet, but when I do I will expand my review. Right off the bat I can say I *really* like the Flat Contour Brush and it’s shape, and I’m not too fond of the Precision Flat Face Brush, but I rarely enjoy that type of brush. I’m not sure I’d recommend the whole set at the current price, unless you need matching brushes to feel complete.

If this set had cost me a lot of money A. I wouldn’t have it because I’m kind of cheap when it comes to shelling out the kind of money entire brush sets go for and B. I would be thinking “see? THIS is why people spend so much money on brushes”.
I’ve had, and have, very expensive brushes, and I’ve had and have less expensive brushes and I’m really impressed with this set. I find them far superior to any synthetic Morphe brush I’ve used; each one is soft, and the perfect density for its purpose. I find them better than the other Wet n’ Wild brushes (the most recent pink/white ones), although I like those too.
The contoured foundation brush has replaced my Artis and my It Cosmetics foundation brushes. It’s perfect for all the “hard to reach” parts of my face (nose, under eye)- so much so that I put in my foundation and concealer at the same time and this brush blends it all flawlessly together.
They’re also very fancy looking.

I’ve been using these brushes every day for five days now, so I have some thoughts. Wet n Wild can be somewhat inconsistent with their products though, especially their LE products, so take these opinions with a grain of salt.
For the brush collection as a whole, they’re okay but definitely a disappointment in some ways. They’re not remotely as soft as their pink and white vegan brushes. They’re not even as soft as the unicorn highlighting brush they released a few months ago. They’re somewhat rough to the touch and can feel a bit scratchy on the face, although some more so than others. So that was a major let down for me. Other than that, they’re stunning to look at and feel really well made. They’re silver with a lavender reflect and the handles are good quality. The ferrules are sturdily attached, unlike their pink and white brushes which can feel a bit flimsy. They also have more of a weight to them than their permanent line and don’t have that paint on them that can peel off and make the brushes look ugly after a while.
Now for the individual breakdown:
Dome Pencil Eye Brush: This brush blends out makeup really well on my lower lash line. It’s a bit larger than your average pencil brush, but I don’t really mind. It’s dense so it picks up a good amount of product. I have softer pencil brushes though, for sure. But if I press lightly it’s not to rough and it gets the job done. I see myself continuing to reach for it.
Tapered Blending Brush: I like this brush. It’s very scratchy, one of the scratchier ones in the collection, but I’m not as picky with my eye brushes as I am about my face brushes. The size is good for getting a color diffused allllll across your crease. A useful brush to have, but nothing too special.
Flat Contour Brush: One of the softer brushes in the collection. I really like this one, and I’m somewhat picky with my contour brushes. It gives me a sharp but diffused contour because it’s thin but still blends out the product well. Love love love.
Precision Foundation Brush: This is the only brush I strongly dislike so far. It’s angled and has a dip in the center, so I was very intrigued by the shape and it’s the one I was most excited for. It’s SO scratchy. It’s not even that dense so I don’t get why it feels so hard and pinchy on my face. I stipple when I apply foundation and concealer, so it was extra noticeable. Even when buffing it wasn’t soft, though. It gave me a pretty good finish, but it absorbs so much product that it wasn’t even worth it. I had to apply twice as much product as I normally due because so much of it got soaked into the hairs. It’s a no from me, dawg.
Large Powder Brush: I love love love the shape of this brush. I just wish it was softer. I know I keep mentioning this but I despise rough powder brushes. The shape is unique for my collection though and if I ignore the feeling of it, it works really well. I’ve used it for bronzer and face powder and I love the look it’s given me. It gives me a soft application but doesn’t sheer out the product too much, which is a problem I sometimes have with powder brushes.
Precision Setting Brush: Besides the foundation brush, this one is the scratchiest. I’m a broken record at this point, but, like most of the others, it works fine otherwise. It worked fine for precise powder application, the shape makes it amazing for that. I will say, it wasn’t the easiest to work with to blend out my contour. It took a bit of effort, but it got the job done.
Blush Brush: This is pretty dense and on the larger side for a blush brush, but I really like it. It doesn’t apply too much product at once and gives a very natural finish, which is what I want from my blush brushes. It works well for bronzer and I’d imagine face powders, since it is on the larger side. It’s rough on the face but not unusable.
Tapered Highlighting Brush: I LOVE this brush! I think it’s my favorite one in the line. It’s really tiny but very fluffy and it makes my highlights look beautiful. Even some that are a bit more on the chunky side just blend perfectly into my skin when I use this brush. I’m really happy with it, it’s quickly become one of my favorite highlighting brushes, like top three, for sure. It also worked well to set my under eye area.
Fluffy Blending Brush: This brush is fine, nothing special, like the other eye brush, but works. One of the softer brushes in the collection and it blends out my eyeshadow really well.
Precision Flat Face Brush: I like this brush. Scratchy like most of the others, but not as bad as the worst ones. It blended out my face concealer well. And honestly not the roughest I’ve used for under my eyes, just maybe requires a lighter touch. It also applied cream concealer amazingly well, so I’m happy with this one.
Final thoughts:
It’s an OK set. These brushes are going to be a part of their permanent line next year, and I have a hunch they will make their permanent line a bit better quality. WnW tends to skimp out for their LE products.
I didn’t buy this set (it was a gift), but I don’t think I’d regret getting it with the 50% off deal. That works out to about $1.5 per brush, so it’s not too bad at all for the quality. I don’t think you can find better for that price (except for WnW’s $0.99 brushes…). I don’t think I’d pay the full $30 for the whole set, though. I’m a cheap broke college student though, with plenty of good brushes already, so maybe that’s just meee.
