SHEDS, SHEDS, SHEDS!! This brush feels dreamy and applies powder and blush beautifully, but the amount of shedding is ridiculous. I’ve washed it gently 2x and used it for several months; still shedding. Glad I only paid about $7 at TJ Maxx or this would be going back. Disappointing- especially from a reliable brand like Japonesque.

Ugh, this brush. This brush cost around $28, so it’s not super cheap. However, I have $3 brushes that are better than this. I’ve washed this brush several times and this thing still sheds like crazy. If I set my face with it there will be tons of little black hairs on my face. I’m fed up trying to wait for the shedding to stop. This has to go. Save your money, skip this even if it’s on sale.

This does a good job applying bronzer, I don’t use powder foundations or setting powders. I like a round fluffy brush with graduated hairs for bronzer so I can use a side of the brush to apply product and then spin it and use a clean part to blend and diffuse it out a little. I’m fair to light in skin tone and I prefer a light hand with bronzers, if I start getting a little heavy I think it looks like I have dirt on my face. This brush does well with achieving this.
However, I am becoming more and more disappointed with this brush. First off, it stunk like farm animal taking it out of the package. After washing it twice (and very thoroughly the second time) the smell was signifigantly reduced but still lingers. I saved the box just incase it doesn’t go away because at $28 USD I know it’s not a HE brush, but it’s still more expensive than the inexpensive brands available, and I expect better from it. It also sheds like crazy, I’ve had this happen with denser powder brushes when they are new, but if this doesn’t get any better then I’m going to have to return it.
I wish I could spend the $$$$ on the Nars mie kabuki to compare them.
