I bought this to help with applying glitter and shimmer shades that I otherwise had trouble picking up and this brush did the trick! The brush works very well with glittery top coats in particular and it does so with very little fallout. The brush is very soft and easy to use. It costs $24, which might be a dealbreaker for some on a single brush. I would absolutely recommend this brush to anyone who likes using shimmery and glitter shades.

Kat Von D says this brush was inspired by a witch’s broomstick. It was recommended to me for glitters, loose pigments, and Kat Von D’s topcoat shadows. I’ve found that this brush is great for pressed pigments as well. Too Faced Sugared Strawberry and Sugar Plum are two sparkly shades that were somewhat wimpy even after I built them up with MAC’s white goat hair brushes, but Kat Von D’s Glimmer Effect Eye Brush grabs them firmly and places them exactly where I want them to be with a lot less fallout. This brush is like the hardnosed nanny that won’t put up with any nonsense from naughty shadows. Not exactly magic, but the first time I got better color payoff from those elusive shades it felt like wizardry.
The black synthetic bristles are soft enough for delicate lids, though the head does not feel as luxurious as sable brushes. The long tapered handle is acrylic. To clean I use a spray bottle of Parian Spirit and a microfiber cloth.
