So soft and dense but not too dense. Easily spreads my foundation and gives me a good smooth look. Not streaky and feels really nice on the skin. I have nothing bad to say about this brush. It is not too light or heavy and feels sturdy. Does not shed and gives me great coverage with liquid foundations. I use this with Armani Luminous Silk and my BB Cream Tinted Compact. Highly recommend.
Edit – this starting seriously shedding in chunks. Wtf!! I now use Smashbox Blurring Foundation Brush

I had a prior review on this but as opposed to updating a very old review, that will probably not get seen again, I figured I’d write a new one. When I first got this brush, I was very curious as to whether a brush this cheap would be worth purchasing, with that being said, I still use it to this day. The brush itself, and the few replacements I bought after initially purchasing, have served me well for the last few years. Very affordable price, applies foundation easily and smoothly to the face. It is not perfect and there are a few brushes that I slightly prefer for foundation, but it is well worth it’s price, and I would definitely reccommend it.

Applies foundation very nicely–dare I say airbrushed, with the exception of a few stray hairs here and there (much better than the Armani one I had, which is really the only thing I have to compare it to). However, basically everything else about this sucks. After the first few washes the whole head came off, and after having had this be an issue with another brush in the past, you’d best believe I was reallllly careful about not letting the ferrule get wet. Another gripe about washing is that it’s virtually impossible to get all makeup out of this thing, by virtue of how dense the bristles are. I suppose that is what makes it apply foundation so nicely, but idk, maybe there’s a happy medium there? Lastly, I notice that after one use without cleaning, inevitably on the second use I get breakouts that are due to this brush and this brush only, i.e. this thing harbors bacteria like nothing else. Eww.

This brush does a decent job of blending out liquid foundation. But . . . the glue holding the bristles in place does not last. I use parian sprit to clean my brushes, and don’t let them soak. Did a batch of cleaning including my new F80. Chunks came out of the F80 after drying, and my other brushes were fine. Despite having bought the Sigma from a specialist on-line retailer (ie, not an Amazon or eBay fake), thought I must have had a dud. So bought a second one – again, genuine retailer. This time I didn’t use the parian spirt – gave it a twirl through olive oil/dishwash ensuring I didn’t soak the ferrule, rinsed in lukewarm water and hung it upside down to dry. The whole head of bristles came out after it had dried. As I said, I’ve cleaned plenty of brushes, and this is the only one to ever do this. The brush is so thick that I’m assuming what must be a very quick capillary action sucks the cleaning liquid straight up into the ferrule. After having wasted money twice, I’ll stick with my Real Techniques in future.

This is my favorite buffing brush for foundation. The tips of the synthetic bristles are velvety and you don’t need to press hard to blend well, so it’s gentle on the skin. Quick, streak free application. I clean it with a spray bottle of Parian Spirit and a paper towel, then mist the bristles with another spray bottle of water. This method keeps water out of the ferrule. (For a deep clean, I use Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner.) I’ve been very happy with this brush and would absolutely buy it again. In fact, I plan to buy a backup.

My first Sigma brush. Use this brush everyday with my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation.
Blends foundation nicely and streak-free.
Had this brush for a year and already thinking about purchasing a new one as it looks pretty used up and ‘tired’ from daily use.

This brush is an essential part of my makeup kit because It does an excellent job with my foundation. I have dry skin so first I use a heavy moisturizer, then I apply my foundation with my fingers and use the F80 to buff it out. It smoothes out fine lines and any imperfections.
I’ve already replaced this brush… last summer I went to a party and someone stole it out of my purse, so I’ve been using the F82 or thr F84 (I got the kabuki kit). I finally got a replacement and didn’t realize how much better the F80 is!

There are so many better options that are more cost efficient. And work better. If you use and wash this brush daily expect it to shed in a year. They MAY replace it, depending on the rep. Their warranty ends two year after the date of purchase on the original brush. Not when you received it or when you received the replacement.
Save yourself the trouble and get a RT brush, Sephora PRO or wet n wild.

I’ve had this brush for several years and I hardly ever use it. It’s not that it’s a bad brush and it does apply foundation nicely if I use circular motions but it leaves the coverage heavier than I like. I prefer my Sigma 3DH Kabuki over the F80 but i don’t use it much either. Once I began to use the beauty blender I never looked back when it comes to foundation because I can get the sheerer coverage and the look that I prefer. I do like a lot of the Sigma brushes but I have cheaper Morphe, Eco Tools and E.L.F. that I like better.
The F80 can be kind of hard to clean and it takes forever to dry. I don’t know why but when I clean my brushes it is always the last one to dry. No shedding at all yet. I use SigMagic Brushampoo or Ecotools Brush Shampoo with a Kedsum silicone cleaning mat and sometimes if I’m in a hurry, just a plain bar of Dial antibacterial soap. Philosophy Purity also does a nice job in a pinch. When I travel I use my Purity, less things to have to take.
I will not repurchase this brush if it ever starts to shed or fall apart because I just don’t use it enough to warrant a re-purchase. Also the long drying time is annoying to me.

Worth it, I got mine I wanna say 3 years ago and every time I wash it looks like its brand new.
