I haven’t had much experience when it comes to brushes and how to use them but this brush is fine to just lay down a base of eyeshadow and to pack on glitter or metallic shadows. Its cheap, doesn’t shed, it’s not streaky and evenly applies any shadow, just as the description says. I probably wouldn’t buy this brush again because there are other options I’d like to try.

My kid absconded with my MAC 217 (I own 2 – but it still pissed me off!) so I got one of these for $2.00 at target – and it is no way like the 217 but it’s a great and CHEAP shadow brush.
Soft bristles and so far no shedding.
Nice find – and essential.
And if my kid steals it I can get another easily – and it won’t break me.

I got this for $1 at Dollarama because I lost my EcoTools one and many YouTubers use this one. I was really happy with it at first. It does the job but it makes my eyelids itch and the bristles fall out. The whol barrel came off which sucks, but I just stick it back on. It is hard to wash and the edge is horribly uneven because the bristles fall out. Will not repurchase.

This brush is awesome, I have used it almost every day for two years and its just as good as when I first got it

Great quality…especially for a dollar!!

Normally, I’m an elf junkie. I love just about all their products. This one is a miss. It does the job but not very well. The brush isn’t soft, it’s actually kind of itchy and it doesn’t pack the powder on at all. Not good for blending either. After about a month, the head of the brush fell off completely. I’d go for the elf studio shadow brush instead. It’s still cheap but the quality is much better.
curiousFish3
I love elf products but this one completely disopointed me because within two weeks the silver part with the brush on it came of the white shimmery stick part so now that is in the bottom of my trash can being broken and what not!Anyway oh well i guess that is the kind of quality that I get from buying a one dollar super store brush. I guess you get what you pay for. I have now learned my lesson.

Although I dont use it much, this is a really good brush. It is firm but very soft, with a sturdy weight to it. It feels like it wont fall apart on you and it doesnt- at least not for the length of time ive had it and the amount ive used it. I found it at a dollar tree and paid $1 for it but I havent been able to find this brush anywhere since.

I ordered mine from wetnwildBeauty.com & it was shedding so bad it was unusable. ELF, Ecotools, real techniques & BH Cosmetics are so much better. These are cruelty free & cheap I give them that but I can’t use it. #NOTwinning

I have the white handle /pink brush version of this (pretty sure otherwise its the same thing) and I really like it! I bought it at riteaid for only .50 cents… 50 CENTS! Thats insane especially these days. Its very soft and easily packs on the eyeshadow..it works well!
sincereTacos4
I’ve had this for over a year. A few hair fallouts, nothing major. The fibres at the end were also uneven (from when it was bought) so I’ve had to trim it to make it smooth and similar length.
It’s great for the price. Obviously the quality isn’t the same as high end, but it’s decent enough to get the job done.

This brush packed on my pigment and guess what it held on to the product NO FALL OUT! Smoothed the color on to my eyelids the application was flawless!! I got this brush for $.50 cents Walgreens had a special so for the price I would say it is worth it to buy quite a few a I do not know what the life span on these brushes are!

I had seen these brushes when they came out in the regular stores, but they didn’t look that great, and I already have lots of brushes. Then, when I was at Dollar Tree right before Christmas and saw them for $1, I thought Hey, why not? I’ve used this brush pretty much every day recently, and I just LOVE IT! It is the greatest thing ever for applying a light-colored shadow over my whole eyelid-to-brow area. I think it would probably also be good for applying a highlight to the cheekbone, although I haven’t tried that yet. (I’m sure I’ll discover lots of creative ways to use this brush.) I like the handle and the way the brush feels when I’m using it. Another reviewer mentioned they thought the bristles weren’t animal hair, and that’s fine with me–give me a cruelty-free product any day. Bottom line: I look forward to using this brush every day, and went back yesterday and bought 2 more.

Wet n wild eyeshadow brush: This is a soft feathery brush big enough for the eye lid area.
This can even get the hollow of the eye and inner corners, but I wouldn’t use it in those areas if you are trying to add detail. As the brush style has a cut strait across designed shape. This brush had a sturdy handle and the brush head wasn’t screwed or glued on.
I can’t tell for certain , but the hairs resemble Teflon with a slight crimp in the center- a sign the hair is fake and not animal fur.
This brush is also a steal and cost me $1.00!

As part of an Estee Lauder gift box with one set each of eyeshadows and blushes, I have; 2 blush brushes, one bigger than the other; and 2 eye shadow brushes, a tiny one and a thicker one.
As others have stated, they are very easy to use even for women like myself who are not make-up professionals, yet produce compliment-inducing results. The brushes have soft bristles that do not irritate sensitive skin. Best make-up brushes I’ve had so far.

I’ve had two EL eye shadow brushes for 13 years now. Yes, 13 years. They came in an EL gift box with all kinds of other goodies like lipsticks and eye shadows. Anyways, to get to the point. They just last a life time and the quality is amazing. The bristles are very soft and blending with them is no problem at all. It is very easy to control them if you are a starter and not a pro in the eye makeup application. I love them and think it’s great how long they’ve lasted and still do!

This is a review for Estee Lauder blending brush with a blue plastic handle. It is a great brush for blending eye shadows. It is extremely soft, the softest I have come across so far; much softer than MAC 217. I find it very good for final blending as it blends all the harsh edges so well.
I also use this brush to add a tad of color in the corner of my eyes of in the crease to make my eyes stand out more. This brush does an amazing job for this.
The brush is high quality, never sheds.
cynicalThrushe0
no fall out whatsoever. blends eyeshadow very easily as well
vengefulCrane7
I got this brush in one of their free gift sets. I must say, I use it a lot! I do have other shadow brushes in my collection, but I find this one to be very reliable. It’s soft but not too soft (it is controllable), and still somehow manages to pick up enough shadow to put on without wasting any. It doesn’t shed, blends everything together well. I was unsure as to how this would perform since it was free, but it’s been great so far- been using it for a few years now. I definitely would try to get this in a free gift if you can- no reason to spend a fortune on it. I think they do that often so wait for it!
culturedRelish4
Great eyeshadow brush. It’s soft, picks up a good quantity of eyeshadow and blends the make up well during application. However, i would like it more if the tip is smaller – then precise application would be easier as i won’t have eyeshadow on unwanted areas of my eyelids. Overall, good quality brush.
emptyTacos9
This is a nice, dainty little brush that does an okay job of applying eyeshadow. It’s a bit TOO small for my taste though. The bristles are quite nice, however. There are definitely better brushes out there, but I’m not going to complain cause this was a GWP.
crushedApples4
I love this brush! Very soft and versatile, great dry or wet, even color distribution, and easy to clean. Very luxurious look and feel.
thrilledPonie4
Too large and too soft for its assigned area/task. Net result: disappointing pigment delivery and imprecise application. Perhaps a likely standby for under eye concealer application/blending?
mereHyena1
This is $55 and has nice large head for application but it is not worth the money especially since I heard Hakuhodo makes their brushes. I don’t like that TF brushes are all white b/c I can’t get them clean (even with baby oil and shampoo) It is almost to big for my korean eyes but i do use it everyday.

Not a great fan of this brush. The slanted kabuki from The Body Shop is my all time favorite for setting powder, so I thought I should try out some other brushes from the range. This is a disappointment. It doesn’t pick up powder eyeshadows that well, but also doesn’t work with creamier products. It costs 8,50 euro here in Europe, which isn’t that bad, but it just doesn’t perform. The design is nice, with a sturdy handle and nice sleek look, but I don’t like the bulky bottom. I store my brushes in a cup on my vanity, and this one doesn’t fit nicely between the others – okay, I might have too many brushes in the same cup…
shyHeron5
Very thin brush. It doesn’t really pick up a lot of product and not great for packing. Work better for lining under eyes with shadow and placing colour precisely. The handle is pretty thick. I bought in a set on sale, but I wouldn’t advise buying this for full price.
boredTruffle0
This is much too thin to work as an eyeshadow brush. It picks up hardly any product at all. I sometimes use it with cream eyeshadows but mainly as a concealer brush – although I prefer my smaller concealer brushes over this one. On the plus side I’ve had it a few years and it’s very sturdy and doesn’t shed hairs but still not worth the price.
trustingIcecream6
This brush has stiff bristles and colour goes on easily, I like the design of the brush. But I do not use eye shadow often, I only got this for prom and a makeup module I had in school.
puzzledBagels3
I won’t repurchase not because of anything but this brush just doesn’t break (like all TBS brushes).
I got the travel mineral eye shadow brush.
It is good, soft and yet stiff enough. Not a fantastic brush in my opinion but good enough for beginners or travelling. Doesn’t blend well as it’s too stiff and flat.
pluckySalami2
I think all The Body Shop brushes are overlooked – people like Bobbi brown and MAC, but some brushes from the Body Shop do way better than the ‘professional’ brands! but of course, not all.
This is the best brush I have used from The Body Shop. It is very soft, but stiff enough to sculpt my eyes, and it is dense to get enough eyeshadows. I use this to apply eyeshadows precisely on my eyes, and it works well. The long handle is easy to use too, and of course, it never sheds a bit and it’s cruelty-free!
Good for both beginners and pros! x

This brush has retained its shape excelIently for so many years and it’s quite inexpensive. I use it to apply cream eyeshadows and works well for that – would repurchase. On the other hand it doesn’t pack enough eyeshadow for a good colour pay off when it comes to powder, so be aware of that before deciding.

I purchased five of these brushes a few months ago during the holiday when they had a 65% off sale from E.L.F online. They almost always have some promotion going on anyways.
I looked all over for reviews on this brush because it looked similar to Mac’s 239 brush. I couldn’t find a single review about it and even here nothing. I figured I wouldn’t be losing much if it didn’t work out so I purchased five of them (yes I know, ridiculous logic lol). When I got them, they looked lovely and reminiscent of my lovely Bobbi Brown brushes or Essence of Beauty ones. I love the wooden look as they brighten up my makeup area as oppose to my plain black Mac ones (I’m not a Mac snob but they do have lovely brushes).
They come in their standard plastic sleeve case that is reusable in case you want to keep it. As soon as I took it out, I was immediately impressed. The ferrule felt nicely crimped on so I hope it doesn’t fall off anytime soon as cheaper brushes tend to do. The brush felt lovely to hold and the synthetic bristles felt extremely soft, so soft at first I worried eyeshadow wouldn’t adhere to it properly.
I know you’re supposed to wash the brush before you use it but I went ahead and tested it out on several of my eyeshadows. It picked up all of them nicely and distributed very well on my eyelid. On some of them, like the matte ones, it had a little more trouble to pack it on but typically only my 239 or Lowe Cornell Maxine Mop brush 3/8 can do it properly. However this isn’t a problem as it’s advertised as a mineral brush of which most minerals are in loose form, not pressed. It picked up loose eyeshadow very well, too. They blend out alright, nothing spectacular here as it does the job with a little effort. But as I got them for 1.65USD I’m not complaining; I’ve paid 70 bucks for a single brush before….
The brush head is slightly larger than the Mac 239 measuring about 1cm long. This means it may not be favored by those with smaller eyes looking for more detail work. I use this to cover bigger areas as oppose to smaller ones. The bristles are fully packed so they’re also slightly fluffy and it doesn’t shed. Their Studio eyeshadow brush is about exactly the same size if I’m not mistaken but the Studio one is less full and not as soft as the Mineral one. It also sheds as oppose to the Mineral one. However, as the Mineral one is very smooth feeling, the Studio would be a better choice to apply the “harder” eyeshadows such as matte ones.
The only con I’ve been able to come with that slightly put me off is that it stains BADLY. Even with dishwashing soap I can’t remove makeup properly from the bristles. I’ve tried my Mac cleanser, I’ve tried applying olive oil first to lift the stain and then dishwashing soap, nothing. So warning, if you do use a very dark eyeshadow with these brushes, chances are it won’t come out like if you use the Lowe Cornell or Mac 239 one. Those I always manage to wash clean white but not the E.L.F. one.
I would rebuy these if they were on sale bc personally I wouldn’t pay 5.00USD, mainly bc I have so many brushes already. This one is excellant to have a back up incase you’re traveling and don’t care to lose it or if you’re just starting your brush collection. For brush hoarders, chances are you already have many excellant brushes (I own tons of Mac, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox…) so these will more than likely sit hidden in the corner like mine would if I didn’t travel often.

My first Wet ‘n’ Wild brush didn’t disappoint. I found one at the local Dollar Tree and snatched it up. For $1, this brush is better than ELF’s shadow brushes. I’d love to see them produce more brushes like this, ESPECIALLY at this price point.
The ferrule and the handle are sturdy and well attached, no wobbliness! The ferrule holds the bristles in tightly and there are loads of them. The bristles themselves aren’t scratchy, they’re medium-stiff like softer foundation brushes. They grab onto eyeshadow to deposit plenty of color onto the skin in a patting motion or can blend out edges extremely well.
I’m reserving a 5 star rating for if it holds up to multiple washings and more applications. My only pseudo-complaint is that it’s wider than most and has slightly less precision because of it. It’s more of a 4.25 right now.

I never noticed brushes at the Wet n Wild display before. I usually shop at CVS and they do not carry WnW brushes, but today I hit Rite Aid and they have a lot more stuff. This brush has a thicker handle than most but it’s easier to hold. The bristles are very soft and perfect: not too full or bushy. Best of all, it’s only 99 cents. This week all WnW is 40% off, so it was 59 cents, AND I had a 50 cent coupon from the Sunday paper, so it was only 9 cents. NINE CENTS.

I’m a big fan of this. It’s great for shadow and smoothing some highlighter. It’s also good for picking up powder on the brush and administering it. It hasn’t shed on me yet!
hushedPear8
This is an amazing brush for putting on shadow. I even used it a few times to put on foundation just to try it, and it actually wasn’t half bad. Just remember to clean it after several times of use. It’s lasted me a long time & isn’t showing any signs of crapping out on me yet, so I’m happy with it. Great for blending or just plain applying.
peacefulPie5
Very nice, gives nice coverage, blends well, and no bristles have come out so I’m happy! I’d definitely recommend.
