The blending eye brush was the BEST. I use the biggest one for blush and the last one for contouring because it is great at blending. LOVE THESE BRUSHES

I saw these on sale at mejer for around $11 if I remember correctly and through I’d give them a try, I’m really glad I did! The powder brush is awesome for when I don’t want to use a lot of setting powder. The blush brush is perfect because I don’t like to use too much blush (when I do use it) so a light tap is all I need and it gets the perfect amount of color and blends nicely onto my cheeks. The eye brush is nice too, I use it for blending crease colors when I do more of a dramatic eye because I have a Morphe crease brush I use for my everyday crease w/ naked 2 from naked basics. All are very soft and nice, I love the black and white, they look very classy. I really like real techniques a lot, great quality for a good price and would repurchase this set and plan to purchase more RT brushes in the future.

I purchased this set after seeing Lustrelux on Youtube raving about them.
Once I purchased them, I couldn’t actually decide what I was going to use them for, and regretted my purchase and didn’t use them for a little while.
However, once I gave these brushes a serious try, I fell in love with them. I would not say this set is a necessity, but if you are on the look out for a certain brush like these, or are always looking for good brushes I would recommend these.
I use the eye brush as a final blend, just to ensure there are no harsh edges, and remove any excess powder. I love the middle brush for powder blusher, and I now only use this brush for blusher. It distributes the colour so evenly, and I find with highly pigmented blushes they can be difficult to apply and blend, but this brush limits the amount of product you put on, so blending is easy and quick and you can build up intensity.
The large brush, I purely use as a final dust all over my face with no product on it, to remove excess powder and one final blend to ensure everything is blended seamlessly. I am looking forward to experimenting more with these brushes.
Hope this review helps.

I bought this set on Amazon for about $13. I thought I was getting the white-handled set, but the set I received was the new, colorful set. I thought about sending them back, because I don’t really like the looks of the handles and also, the brush heads look really different from the white-handled ones. In the end I decided to keep them.
The face brush I like for setting powder. It gives a very light application, which I prefer. I have dehydrated skin and don’t want a bunch of powder on it, and I don’t want it to be matte. But, it often picks up color from my SS or foundation, which I do not like. The “contour” brush I wasn’t sure about, because I don’t use contour. I tried it for blush though and I was very pleased. I tried it with my ELF blush palette, which I find very hard to apply and blend with my Ecotools brush, and the contour brush did a great job applying and blending.
I used the eye brush for blending eye shadow and I don’t like it. It’s not great for blending and it’s very pokey/scratchy.
These are the only RT brushes I have used, and I am still not sure yet if they are *great*, but I am pleased with them so far. I would probably not buy them again because I don’t think they are especially unique, and because I think every brush in a set should be a good brush.
The packaging is terrible. It’s all garbage. It did keep the brushes safe and clean but that’s really all I can say about it. I would like to see more reusable or recyclable packaging, and less excess and waste.

I got these at Ulta and have been using them non-stop. I would have to say they are my favorite RT brushes yet. Not sure why others didn’t like them but for me these are a gem in an affordable price point.

OVERALL: i got this set for my birthday in november about a month an a half ago, and i haven’t put any of the 3 brushes down since then. I’m so in love, they are the best brushes from RT i have tried, actually all 3 are my favourite brush for some product and anything else i use instead pales in comparison (more on that later!). They’ve been washed probably around 8 times by now, since i use them daily, and not a single hair has shed. i would highly recommend, they are so luxurious feeling, do a fantastic job, and the set cost 17 euro on sale in boots (if you don’t catch a sale, they tend to be cheaper on the real techniques website-realtechniques.com- even with shipping). it’s important to note i have dry skin, so i like less powder applied. if you need a lot, no duo fiber brush will do what you want, because you need more! the eye brush you will still probably love, but just like a liner brush will never be a good brush if you use it to blend out a crease colour, duo fiber brushes will never be good at packing on powder heavily. But honestly, they’re so soft and gentle i could put layers and layers on and wouldn’t feel any drag!!! it woud still probably be better to use a dense brush to heavily powder.
REAL TECHNIQUES: a cruelty free brand with a low price point and high quality? yes please! my favourite brush brand!
EYE BRUSH: this is my favourite brush of the 3, just by a hair! it’s great for anyone in a rush, it blends crease colours so quickly and seamlessly, and does the work for you! even when i borrowed a MAC 217 (from a friend before i committed to the purchase) i noticed i had to pay more attention to who hard i was pushing, and where my hand was going at all times, where as with this i dip into my shadow, and just do a few quick ‘windscreen wiper’ movements while a look around for a gloss or lip balm to throw on, then i’ve got an effortless crease colour (you can build anything on top of that as a transition shade, or leave it as that, this is just my everyday eye, matte brown in the crease with this brush, mascara, and my eyes look great!)
another thing i’ve started using it for is if i want to intensify my highlight, i’ll put it on normally, and take a little more on this brush and add it until i’m happy. despite the long bristles, it gives very controlled application because it’s an eye brush and it’s duo fiber, so won’t pick up too much product 🙂
CONTOUR BRUSH: i use this every day to set my under eye concealer with the natural collection pressed powder (which is amazing for dry skin by the way). i like using a duo fiber brush for this because my eyes are so dry if i use any other brush i can look like i have way more wrinkles than i do! this brush picks up less product and distributes it evenly, putting down enough to stop my concealer moving, but not so much it drys out my skin and gives me granny-eyes at 19!
I do use this for a gentle contour, i don’t ever really carve out my cheeks so i can’t say how it works for a sharp contour but it’s nice when i use it. i have to say i more often use the real techniques contour brush from the core collection, but either work (the duo fiber one usually had my under eye powder on it, so it’s easier for me to use the other)
LARGE BRUSH: i use this for face powder, for the same reason i use the contour brush for setting my under eyes. occasionally i’ll use it for bronzer, but i prefer my no7 directional powder brush as it applies a little more product (and trust me, i need as much bronzer as i can get). it all depends on how much you want.
PACKAGING: as i said before, i got these as a gift (well i said ‘this would be a great gift’ my mom bought them and gave them to me on my birthday! so i know the price and where they were from etc) but when i got them, my contour brush had slipped out of place in it’s box and been smushed, so when i took it out it had a dent it it’s bristles! i was terrified it was ruined, but after i washed it and let it dry it went back to the shape it was supposed to be!

I’m really surprised at the low ratings. I use all three of these brushes on a daily basis! The smallest brush can be a little scratchy, but it works well as an eyeshadow brush or to blend out concealer. The medium sized brush is great for contour, highlight, precise blush application, or applying undereye powder. I use the large brush for a light dusting of any powder- blush, bare minerals foundation, setting powder, or my hourglass ALP.

I bought this for the 2 bigger brushes, the set costed around 30CAD$ (canadian dollars) so 10$ for each brush. I use the bigger one for overall powder and a light touch of bronzer and the medium one for powder down the T-zone, highlighter and maybe blush – I Love the medium one and want another one (but it’s not sold individually :-/ damn! Pixiewoos why don’t you sell individually? ). I use them for very light applications of powder and for very pigmented products. I love them for that! The eye brush I don’t care for it, tried to use it but I never quite liked it, I gave it away . I do recommend the 2 bigger brushes. I don’t consider these as must haves but they’re nice to have, specially if you’re heavy handed or you want a very subtle application.

I was really disappointed in the quality of the Real Techniques duo-fiber brushes, compared to the brand’s “regular” line of brushes, which I find to be quite reliable and impressive for the price.
It’s hard to pick up product except on the very tips of the longer white fibers, which apply product sparsely/awkwardly on the face. I find the eye brush particularly unusable (maybe it’s okay for blending out an almost-finished look, but I would never use it to apply color). The larger powder blush is okay for applying blush, and I do actually get a decent amount of use out of the contour brush. Mostly, I think the longer (white) fibers are a bit too long, and should be slightly closer in length to the denser, shorter black fibers.
Not a terrible set (the brushes are reasonably soft, and modestly priced), but they certainly didn’t live up to the standards I’ve come to expect from RT brushes.

Brilliant for blending out my contour, eyeshadow and blending in powder foundations
