I like it bc it is a good/quick brush cleaner for in between use, but I can’t seem to find it in stores. I don’t remember where I originally started buying bc when I buy something I like, I buy a few @ a time. I know that ULTA doesn’t sell it, I ✔️ed online!

Good for doing a quick daily spot clean on your brushes in between washings. Works for me. Bottle looks exactly like the Mist and Set so be careful not to spray this on your face if you own both…

Such a useful product. I like that I can clean my brushes enough to change colors or just give them a refresher before they get a proper wash. The smell is off putting but it dissipates quickly. I usually squirt twice and then blot my brush on a towel. It’s dry and ready to go immediately afterward. Sometimes with darker colors it takes more than two squirts and it still doesn’t completely clean the brush, but then again, it’s just a spot cleanser. It’s been fulfilling its purpose so far.
I do have one quick packaging gripe, though- the bottle is the exact same one as the ELF Mist and Set. So if you have both like me, I’d recommend marking either so you can tell them apart and maybe keeping them in an assigned place when not in use. The manufacturer most likely did this to save money but I know more than one person that accidentally grabbed one when they wanted the other. Just a heads up.

Bought this because of the great reviews and I’m glad I did! First off it smells amazing! It’s a strong smell though anf lasts for awhile so if you don’t like that sort of thing then don’t get this, but I love the smell so I don’t mind it. I sprayed it on once on my liquid foundation brush and then rubbed the brush on a tissue or paper towel till the brush was clean. I was going to take off one lippie though, because while it does clean the brush enough to get a better application of makeup in the next use you still do need to use your regular brush cleanser to get it thoroughly clean, but on the website it recommends that you do anyways so 5/5. If I could get the brush shampoo by ELF in stores then I would get that instead of this, but since I can’t, I definitely will keep it as a part of my makeup bag.

This is my first time using a brush cleanser and this does the job pretty well.
I know I’m suppose to use it often but I didn’t want to spend so much time on cleaning my brushes.
Also, I guess I should’ve gotten the brush shampoo instead.
This works just as well and I love the scent!
I can’t say it works very well because I had to spray my brush a couple of times before it gets clean?
Then again, I only clean them with this like once in 2-3 weeks

This cleans my brushes so well! It smells nice. I just spray a couple of pumps onto my brushes and swirl them onto a clean tissue until there is no more color rubbing off.

I love this stuff, but I don’t use it as a complete brush cleaner which is where most of the negative reviews come from I think.
Instead, I use it to spot clean and disinfect my makeup brushes and sponge in between regular cleanings with soap and water. I don’t expect my brushes to be super clean after using this stuff but I like that it had alcohol in it to disinfect. I guess you could take 70% isopropyl alcohol, put it in a spray bottle and get basically the same effect. But straight alcohol wouldn’t be very good for spot cleaning, which is why I don’t mind spending $3 on this “brush cleaner.” It was sooo handy on my trip to Italy where I didn’t have time or resources to deep clean my brushes for a week and a half! So I would definitely recommend this for vacations.
I personally don’t find the smell to be that offensive and IMO it goes away pretty fast. I think the reason it smells bad to some people is because ELF put in fragrance to cover up the alcohol smell but they didn’t choose a very good fragrance lol. The only real con I have is that one time a bottle I bought would leak ever so slightly but enough to bother me. So minor quality control issues
Update 2019: I took away two stars because the smell is way more overwhelming now than it used to be and I will no longer be buying this product. I have asthma and I recently had an asthma attack due to this fragrance. I’ve used this for years and it didn’t used to be like this. Disappointing. Temporarily using a mix of alcohol, vodka, and vinegar as a quick brush disinfectant and it smells much better

I love this stuff!!!! This has been a game changer for me! I have never used a spray brush cleaner before… but I won’t be without one ever again now. What is so amazing is how WELL this works. My Mac 239’s are white hair brushes and they are usually not – when I use this –BOOM — white again- with little effort!! All I have to do is use a clean, soft cloth — spray a couple of mists of this, swish them back and forth – (which is what is recommended for natural hair brushes) until they are free of product. What’s really cool is that my brushes are conditioned – super soft – I’ve not noticed ANY damage to them at all. They’re’s natural ingredients, and it’s supposed to be alchol free. I’ve even cheated and used it on my foundation burshes when I was too lazy to fully clean them. It takes a lot longer but it did work. The amount you get is really amazing per what you actually use to clean a brush. I’m so glad I pulled the trigger on this one!! I have chronic pain and standing there cleaning over 30 eye brushes alone? YUCK…..but this stuff? AWESOME SAUSE!!!!!!

Does not remove any product from the brushes. This is only good for removing bacteria between washes, this is not a good substitute for brush shampoo etc.

It does an ok job as a spot cleanser, nothing to write home about. I previously used another brush cleanser (Mac) and decided to try other brands because I wasn’t 100% happy with it.
The cleaning results are similar to Mac’s. This one seems like its less harsh but I didn’t notice any shedding etc. when I used it.It has a very very faint grapefruit scent that I actually like better than Mac’s.
After finishing this I’ve found a much nicer brush cleanser (Parian Spirit) and I won’t be repurchasing this.

One of the worst products I’ve used in the cosmetic market.
Does not clean brush thoroughly regardless of the technique used. Took me nearly an hour to clean 4 new brushes that have only been used once. Never have I had to wash my makeup brushes so forcefully, I was really worried this stupid cleaner would somehow damage my expensive babies! The spray is useless too. This concept is just not user-friendly. Its quality and performance is just too poor to be dispensed through spray.
If “Daily” brush cleaner means one bottle is only enough for a day’s usage, then good job on the accurate description- because I literally finished one new bottle just to clean 4/5 brushes that did not even have stubborn makeup stains. The price for that kind of poor quality product and ridiculously small amount (is it 30ml?) is perhaps too high. I only bought this as an urgent replacement when I’ve finished my BeautyBlender Solid (yes I used to clean my brushes with that BB Solid and it did an amazing job!)
I have switched to MAC brush cleaner and that works so wonderfully. Just a few drops would do even to wash off waterproof makeup from a dense kabuki brush.

I love this daily cleaner but it was making all my brushes lose its fibre. Never had a problem with MAC’s brush cleanser no matter how much I soaked it in.

So far so good, I’ve been using this to clean my beauty blender on the daily. I don’t use many makeup brushes except an eyeliner brush which I use to shade in my brows, so I also use this cleanser to clean that brush about once a week.
I don’t think I’ve broken out from using this product to clean my blender, although it’s hard to pinpoint breakout causes.
It says on the label that it disinfects and is antibacterial so that sounds good… as to whether or not it actually does this I’m not sure.
There is no scent/a hardly noticeable scent and it works well on the beauty blender if you massage the product into it, then run it under warm water and squeeze out the excess. I like the packaging as it is easy to pump out the product and ensure that you don’t use too much.
My beauty blender comes out clean after using this daily so I’d say it’s effective and I’ll probably repurchase this again from Sephora once I run out.

This will not replace cleaning ones brushes with soap and water as it does not removed heavy makeup residue. This is a good quick fix for lightly soiled brushes or to disinfect. I could also see this being a daily brush cleanser as the name implies for those with very oily skin to keep oil from building up on their brushes. If you want to clean your brushes you are still going to have to do it the old fashioned way, as time consuming as it is.

I’ve repurchased this multiple times. I use it to sanitize my brushes in between washes. I feel it does that quite well, no break outs over here! It doesn’t remove all the color/stain from the brush, but it will remove loose product in the brush. I spray my brushes lightly then wipe them on a clean towel, and boom I’m done. I do let them dry over night before I use them. I’ll definitely repurchase until I find something that beats the quality and price.
Pros:
Sanitizes brushes well, the alcohol in it kills the germies I believe
Removes excess product in my brushes so I don’t mix colors
Packaging is convenient and works well
Price is fantastic
Cons:
The smell isn’t great probably due to the alcohol but I’d rather it kill germs than smell good
Doesn’t remove all the product from the brush…not sure it’s supposed to tho.

Total waste of money! The bottle was almost empty after the first time I used it to clean my brushes- and iit didn’t even do a very good job!
sugaryTortoise4
First, this was $3 at my local drugstore and it smells amazing. 2 lippies for that.
I have to clean each brush twice with this product, and that is very annoying as I’m used to the Mac brush cleaner. It doesn’t spray out too much and the packaging is good, another lippie for that.
I will use this until it runs out, but I wouldn’t rebut simply because I have to use too much to get each brush clean, and because I have to use double the product, so I will run out very quickly. xo

I used this a couple of times and found it acceptable for use when I accidentally dipped my brush in the wrong shadow or blush and wanted a quick “do over.” I cannot take it with me when I move because it’s flammable. No big loss, considering it is heavily fragranced. I can’t imagine why they thought that was necessary.

This cleans brushes beautifully, with little effort, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!

I’m another one who had sticky residue on my brushes feeling stiff/weird. But it works ok to clean off brushes daily but imo this is not a must have for me. I wouldn’t get this again.
