I’ve had this brush for 2 months and love it, so soft, picks up a ton of shadow and great at blending. I use it for eye shadow, concealer, setting under eyes. I don’t even use my MAC brushes since I’ve had this. I drove to 3 different Targets to buy myself more and my sister one for Xmas, they sell out at my local store. I’m slightly obsessed with this brush, have bought different SK brushes since then. This is by far the one of the best drugstore eye brushes out there. Seems great quality so I hope to enjoy it for a long time.

I will echo what Smokey Sings said about this brush. Because Target is closing its Canadian stores, everything is marked down so I got this brush for about 5 bucks and change. It seems like a hybrid of MAC’s 217 and 239 (not as round or fluffy as the 217 and not as flat or paddle-like as the 239) but it’s a completely wonderful brush that really does the job of both of those MAC brushes. It is, indeed, soft but nice and dense. As with many makeup brushes, the curved handle is a bit longer than I like (I’m so short-sighted) but that’s easily remedied by a little trip to my husband’s work-room! What a great value. I am seriously contemplating going back and getting one more of each of the SK brushes I use most because at these prices, it makes sense to keep a set permanently packed for travel and for under $50, I can probably put together a complete set of “travel” makeup brushes of my own choosing rather than those pre-made sets.

For me, drugstore brushes can be hit and miss, and Sonia Kashuk, despite the higher price sticker for drugstore, can also be hit and miss. I am pleased to say this is a hit for me.
This was around $10, so for a few more dollars I could have gotten a ‘fancier’ brush, but this is not the basic Sonia Kashuk brush line, this is one that comes in one of those clear and black plastic cases. So it has a ‘fancier’ feel to it than her basic brush line. Washes up like a dream and no shedding.
I gotta say, this is incredibly soft, probably one of my softest brushes ever, yet still quite firm. I bought this to pack on eyeshadow or apply an all-over lid color but I could see using this also for applying a brow shade or even as a contour brush for alongside the nose. So I expect to get a lot of use out of it.
Plus it is so soft I can see I will be reaching for this more than my Mac 239, yes, I like this that well. But I tend to prefer brushes with white bristles to see how much product is on the brush, and yes I know while Mac’s also is white, I still like this one better. Will probably pick up another one soon.
