This is hands down my favorite MAC eye brush.
I have small almond eyes so I like to work my eyeshadow outwards to compliment my eye shape and elongate my eyes.
This brush is so easy to work with ! It does all the job ! It’s friking effortless.
I use it to define my outer corner and smoke out my eyeliner (solid winged eyeliner has never worked with my eyelids as they are slightly hooded and it doesn’t compliment my eyes at all).
So I use this with a dark eyeshadow like Typographic or Print to create a smokey cat eye and it gives me that sultry elongated eye, and it looks as if I had fuller and longer corner lashes.
This brush is a must have for ladies who want to elongate or lift the outer corner of their eyes and who want that Angelina Jolie cat eye effortlessly and softly ! Love love love this brush !!

Wow I don’t know how I could do my makeup before this. This renders all the youtube endless ‘hooded eye this and that’ tutorials (its actually crazy how ppl talk about this one thing endlessly)
Completely redundant or unnecessary
bAm! Done!! Omg . Looks so much betterthan what i used to do n can be blended just as quick in upward direction to get puter v and crease/orbital ridge (as per Olivia from maquillageobscura blogspot blog ) and BAM! The longest most tedious part of my makeup solved! Wow!!
I have semi-hooded eyes I don’t know how to explain but this makes it so fast and quick and clean comlared to what i used to do. It also picks up a good amount of pigment. U can also move it in a semi circle to form a rounder crease. Oh I got aTheBalm brush like this yeeears ago- it was soo flimsy, less dense and more scratchy than this. It actually made the application worse bit i knew it had potential.. then i found this just afew days ago n wow! It picks up the perfect amount of my Lancome Snap n it takes a minute to do eyeshadow fr both eyes! My God! Wd make a VERY Good gift fr those who wear makeup n have hooded eyes too!
I have mac 239 as another user below mentions no i always tried to di that with it n other brushes (including a few chanel, MUFE, Hourglass etc- pricey ones- ones tht are good but not so precise n quick!)
Nothing compares literally (in my opinion n fr my eyes)
Great work MAC
So many typos but i am so excited that this exists. My eyes are v difficult to do well u have to be careful or I can easily look very evil i have a very strange eye shapw fr makeup i dont try to carve out a crease necessarily just shade in a flattering way.. this does it!

The size and shape of this brush is great for outer corner eyeshadow application. You can get a pretty precise application.
I don’t think it works as well for blending the shadow though. It tends to flick excess shadow all over my eyelid.
I think a MAC 239 brush, turned vertically will apply a precise outer corner V just as well.
Quality is great. I have had it for years, and it has never shed, and washes easily.
It just isn’t a re-purchase for me though. I don’t grab for it very often. The 217 works just as well for me, and is more versatile for eyeshadow. It is a good brush, just not an essential one.

MAC 275 is the perfect, mutiuse eyeshadow brush. I’ve been using it regularly for a few years now and it’s still in great shape. It’s meant to be used to apply powder shadow onto the lid and to blend out crease/contour shades. It works so well for both uses. The bristles are dense and very soft, picking up a decent amount of shadow every time. They retain their shape after all washes (I usually use a mild cleanser and sometimes a drop of conditioner, and lay flat to dry), and do not shed. The bristles are the perfect length-not too short, not too long-and have a slight angle so that application and shading are a breeze. If you’re looking for that perfect, simple eyeshadow brush, you can’t go wrong with MAC 275.

Due to its shape, I bought this for the outer V. Still learning how to work with it, but I love it so far. It’s great for simple application and blending of eye shadow.

A good all round shading brush, I use this to apply the base coat of eyeshadow to the whole of my eyelid. It is even great for blending out! The bristles are full, fluffy and soft and just what you need to shade.

I bought this brush around a month ago. My brows are quite full, and as for alot of people with fuller brows, the distance between my brows and my eyes is quite relatively minimal and as a result, I was looking for an angled brush that could create a flatter, elongated eye look. I find that this brush is quite successful at this task. Prior to this, I had used 217s or 217-esque blending brushes to achieve this, but the look took more time because they would inevitably create a rounder shape which had to be fixed extensively before it looked ‘right’. This is not a problem with the #275. The only issue I have with this is that it really does need to be used with a very light hand. I assume that it is the nature of the hairs and the structure of the brush head that makes it pick up and blend pigment more strongly than other eye brushes I’ve used. To sum up, this a particularly useful brush for those who prefer wearing their eye makeup outwards rather than upwards.

Good but not great I use this for my lids or to highlight under my brows. Any other brush can do that just as well and it would probably be cheaper. It is soft and when I wash it, it does not shead so it is durable I suppose. Ive had mine for about 3 years.

This is just ok- not good, not great. I’m not particularly impressed by this brush. Overall it does a so-so job but I have found it tends to flick eyeshadow dust where I don’t want it. ‘Tis going on my swap list.
