Brush of this shape and size (in a duo fiber category) are quite hard to find. So when I saw this 229 Eye Finish brush online – I knew that I had to get it.
I know some people struggle with how to use this brush, so here are couple of suggestions that might help: first of all you can achieve a perfect blend of cream eyeshadows when buffing them in with this brush. Apply your cream shadow and blend the edges, that easy. Works especially well with all those dark colored eyeshadow products, that need a good blend.
Secondly – you can use this brush for blending the concealer. Apply your concealer where needed, and using a circular motion blend the edges. Works perfectly.

I’ve reviewed a lot of Zoeva brushes at this point, and I’ve been overwhelmingly positive about the products. But I’m sorry to say, this particular brush just didn’t work for me. As for quality and price, the brush itself is just as outstanding as any other Zoeva brushes. But I’ve struggled to find a use for this thing and at this point, I just give up.
This is a duo fiber brush that Zoeva markets as a blending brush for that perfect final touch to your eye look. Due to either the shape, the duo fibers, the size, the flexibility of the bristles…I don’t even know exactly what really…it just doesn’t do anything special for me. I generally look for brushes that can be used in a variety of ways, and this brush appears to only have one use, of which it doesn’t even do particularly well. It doesn’t really blend nicely, it’s not intended for placing down color, I just don’t know what to do with this thing.
If you’re looking for a smaller brush for more precise blending, the 231 Petit Crease from Zoeva works beautifully, as well as serving other functions. I hate to say it, but this one is a pass for me.
