I LOVE Dermalogica and use nothing else in my skincare routine, so I ordered this recently expecting to love it. Unfortunately, I broke out in a horrible rash all over my body. I couldn’t believe a dermalogica product could be responsible, but after much denial and an elimination trial, it was, sadly, true. Still loyal to the brand, but seeing as several other users on here have had allergic reactions, I hope they’ll consider reformulating!

I selected this body cream for my first Dermalogica purchase, together with a primer which I loved at first sight.
While the primer is crazily expensive, the body cream comes in a large size, in a white container with a handy dispenser.
It is very lightly scented and feel silky and nourishing on the skin. I liked it immediately and I think it is going to be another one of my favourites. I like it much better than the Clarins and Kiehl body creams I used, because the first is too thick and has a strong scent and the second is too fluid and has no scent.
The Dermalogica has the perfect consistency and scent for me.

I bought this because I have dry skin and eczema if I don’t look after it. I went to the store and asked them to recommend me a cream, the cost of this is £38.50 for 43ml (big bottle). I paid this because I Dermalogica are supposed to be skin specialists.
Anyway, this is the best moisturiser I have come across! Better than the stuff doctors prescribe at £7 (if only I could spend £7 on moisturiser but not every one has skin for that). My skin doesn’t look dry and feels so soft. I use this on a daily basis and would definitely recommend.
PROs: Awesome! My everyday moisturiser
CONs: £38.50 a bottle but worth it.

Love this product. Both my partner and I have dry and sensitive skin and this is a God send. Particularly my partner gets excema and this settles that too.
If he has a dry scalp we’ll massage this in and leave it overnight and it settles that too – unlike all the hair care products he has tried over the years.

I swear by Dermalogica as the only brand I’ve found that actually makes a difference to my slightly sensitive skin. I use a range of their products on face and body and am really pleased with the results. So when my skin started feeling a bit drier in the winter, this seemed like the obvious choice of body moisturiser…and for the first time with Dermalogica, I’m really disappointed! The consistency and smell of the lotion I find unpleasant – but I could live with that if it was a good product, which unfortunately for me it isn’t. Like some of the other reviewers here, this gave me an allergic reaction, makes my skin feel nasty, and clogs my pores on my body, leading to random spots on my legs! (something that I previously thought only happened to your face!) Sorry Dermalogica, it’s a big thumbs down from me on this – very disappointed.

I was expecting to love this body cream but after only two days of using it I broke out in a terrible rash on my arms, chest and legs. I stopped using it for a few days and the rash went away so I decided to give it another try. Guess what… it came back with a vengeance. I paid 47 dollars for it at Ulta and everytime I look at that bottle sitting on my dresser collecting dust I could kick myself. Also some of the reviews mentioned a coconut scent. Hmmm. Personally I thought the smell was just short of being repulsive.

Ok, this is the first dermalogica product to dissapoint me! It’s not at cream, it feels more lika an oil och a lotion in the consistensy. It is hydrating, for like 20 minutes, then my skin is as dry as before. It is not worth all that money! The reason I’ve given it two lippies is the heavenly scent! Like cocoa and coconut! Lovely.

This sits in an oily layer on top of my skin for about 10 minutes then disappears and feels drier than before. I’m a bit peeved about the cheap ingredients they use in this lotion considering the high price you pay. Not good for your health (mainly the cheap preservatives) and I’d expect more from a cream “developed by the International Dermal Insitute” Nice coconut scent though.

I don’t have dry skin but I often use lotions and creams for extra dry skin because I think it helps me keep my skin hydrated and beautiful.
This body lotion is definitely a must-have for everyone! I don’t know if it’s the best cream out there but it makes my skin deliciously soft and beautiful. I often think I’m having baby skin after applying it. The package is very nice too and easy to use (too bad I cannot travel with it – mine has 3.4 o.z). I will buy it forever because each time I use this, I feel like I’m having a spa care.

Even for my ultra-dry, eczema-prone skin, this cream leaves an oily film on top for quite a while before sinking in completely. To be fair, it *is* ultrarich, so at least it does what it claims to! And my eczema doesn’t flare up on this, so double plus.
My advice is (a) use this during winter months, where it’s especially great on legs, (b) and use this at night just before bed, so you wake up in the morning with ultra-silky soft skin, without grease marks on tables/newspapers/anything your skin gets in contact with immediately after application.
I find L’Occitane’s 25% shea butter ultra rich body cream does the same job with a much more pleasant scent and less greasy evidence…
