This avocado based hand butter is a solid moisturizer for hands, and just super dry skin. The smell is fresh, like freshly cut grass. I used to have really bad eczema on my hands, but after using this stuff diligently, it’s completely gone now. The solid lotion format makes it a little difficult to spread on your hands, but it’s great for dry arms and legs.

I like the Hand butter, but it pales in comparison to the Foot butter, which you need to get right now. You should read my crazy review. This product is good nonetheless. It comes in a fun roll-up style, travel-friendly container, will last ages and ages, absorbs extremely quickly, and moisturizes very well without being sticky, goopy, etc. The scent is earthy/nature-y/not for everyone but I think it’s a nice change from the more floral/sweet scents products usually have. When I have very dry hands in the winter, I put this on and then put finger mittens on over top, right before I go to bed. It works wonderfully – try it. I recommend this product, but the Foot butter is better, and a must-have, so buy the Foot butter and just use it on your hands if you don’t want to have both.

I was kind of on the fence about wether or not I would buy Rocky Mountain Soap Company Hand Butter again. Not because it doesn’t do what it says, as it is a really good hand moisturizer. I really enjoy their innovative packaging (oversized deoderant type containers). I love that their butters look like they would be really greasy, but sink right in and don’t leave you sticky at all. I love everything about this except the smell. I get a hint of that nice Neroli smell, but everything is eclipsed by the horrible pachouli scent. It is a unisex scent and probably great if you love pachouli, but as for me it’s far too herbal and hippyish as a smell.
