This stuff is amazing!! As I’ve gotten older, my skin has gotten drier and a bit sensitive, and I have to be a lot more careful with my facial products. I used Creme de la Mer for a while, but the reality is it’s just too expensive. So for a while I tried every other cream moisturizer and facial oil that I could get my hands on to see what would compare. I stopped when I got to LXMI. Their products are ultra clean (usually one ingredient), organic, and fair trade, and they are WONDERFUL. Their main ingredient, nilotica oil, is super moisturizing without being greasy. It’s also really healing; I use it on sunburn, windburn, scars, chapped lips, a raw nose, and dry skin anywhere. For me, it works like magic! And I’ve passed on some sample sizes to a few friends, and now they are addicted too. I also love that the company is run by women, and uses local women workers in Africa where they source the nilotica. I can’t overstate how this stuff has changed my skin for the better, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This is perfect. I love the texture, the way it melts immediately into my skin, the lack of fragrance, but most of all I love that this heals those dry spots that I get in the winter that no other lotion helps. My lips and my cuticles were a mess (and painful) before I started using this. Now they feel good again.
This is a higher grade of pure shea butter and it’s so much nicer than other shea butters I’ve tried in the past. I will definitely keep buying this.
I keep it right on my bedside table. The packaging is cute, a small squeeze tube with an Art Deco print. I would like to carry one in my bag, but I am not convinced it wouldn’t leak as shea butter melts when it gets warm. I’ll probably buy one to keep on my desk at work. I wish I had known about this sooner, I would have bought some for my mom for Christmas.
