I shopped in store so I could pick between this scent and the limited vanilla pumpkin. I’m glad I did because this smells so good and I found that I didn’t really like the vanilla pumpkin scent at all. My choice was based solely on how the products smell, I did not taste them! I have used Body Shop butters for many years and think they are some of the nicest body moisturizers with just the right amount of scent. This one is no different. The genuine banana smell comes alive as it’s applied and quickly fades to a light lovely scent. I do understand the feedback on taste though (unintentional tasting of a nail biter, not meal replacement): I usually rinse my hands after applying most moisturizers and don’t have any residual product issues. After applying this product, you should wash your hands thoroughly with soap because it is likely to remain on your hands and it does taste bitter – maybe on purpose to stop people from eating it. If people are really scooping this up to eat, please remind them fresh bananas are way cheaper and more healthy

The scent is absolutely amazing

This is one of my favorite body butters. I like the scent and it moistures my skin really good. I don’t have anything bad to say about this body butter.

This is a yummy smelling body butter that really gives you a good burst of moisture which lasts all day long. The smell is really genuine and mango-ey.
A tiny tub lasts a while, but purchase the biggest size to save more money.

I LOVE this body butter. It is a miracle cream that really does relieve the driest of skins. Within minutes of applying my skin feels silky smooth. Unfortunately, I find The Body Shop body butters way too expensive for the amount you get. If it was £13 for 400ml then I would probably purchase again. 200ml just does not last if you mosturise everyday and for that reason I will stick to Palmer’s cocoa butter lotion which does a good job and it is so cheap! It may not be as moisturising as the mango body butter but it is the closest thing I have found that does a good job.

I’ve had a mini version of this one.I liked it for the sweet scent rather than for it’s moisturising purposes. The scent is very true to mango, so I’m in for that. The butter is quite heavy, so it’s very hydrating. I wouldn’t use it in the summer, as it would be too greasy. It’s perfect for winter, giving you plenty of hydration and a sweet summer feeling!

Mango is very similar to papaya scented body butter, yet a bit sheer in texture. It is not as thick as some of the other butters in the range so you won’t have any problems working it into the skin.
I like the effect this body butter gives – instantly soft and radiant skin. Perfect throughout an entire year, be it summer or winter. And for the price you pay – you can’t go wrong with it!
Mango scent is delicious and very fruity. If you like deeper nut scents, you may opt either for coconut or almond.

This was a lot thinner than their other butters, and felt just like a regular lotion to me. It’s fine, but compared to the others there’s a big difference. Also I would have liked more of a mango scent. Their other lotions and candles also have more. Maybe mine was bum but it was just ok.

This is my favorite so far of the Trader Joe’s Body Butters. It’s usually out in the summer months, it doesn’t not have much of a smell but lets face it Mangos don’t have much of a smell so I guess its pretty accurate. It moisturizes really well and I love the orange colored container. I stock up every summer so that I don’t run out til the winter scents come out.

This is a great body butter for the price. The ingredients are top notch and the formulation is lovely and incredibly moisturizing when used on wet skin/post shower. And the available scents – well, they are all incredible! If you are a dry skinned person on a budget, you really should give this product a try.
OK I do like this body butter – I think that’s been established… So why am I only giving this body butter 2 stars you might wonder? Well, because it’s got some limitations, or rather, it does for me. If I use this directly out of the shower, it’s awesome – holds in moisture as well as adds moisture to the skin, makes my skin feel silky, and leaves a lovely scent behind. However, when I used this while my skin was dry, it refused to soak in and left my skin very sticky. So basically, I can only use this right after I shower and that’s kind of a bummer for me. Given that, this isn’t one of those products I can leave on my nightstand and reach for at all times and often – that is a nightly ritual I love and it s*cks that this very good smelling affordable product can’t be utilized for that purpose/my ritual.
Would I repurchase this product? Maybe, I am not sure. Sadly because it’s kind of a “one trick pony” for me and my skin type/chemestry (ie one way to use it only) it’s not my fave body cream in terms of what else is out there.

Normally I use this body butter once a week after shaving when my skin gets really dry and a few times a week in place of my light, more milky cetaphil daily lotion when I need some extra moisture. It’s so thick and sticky and I definitely go overboard when applying to my arms, stomach and legs (never my chest or shoulders which are very acne prone) but when applying at night time it gives it a proper chance to sink in. My skin is left so incredibly smooth and smelling so delicious that I want to eat every last bit of the tub! I have not tried any other scents in this line and it is a bit too sweet and summery for winter but I’ve never been one to care about what’s in season or not. For the cheap price and amazing quality it’s a definite repurchase!

Tree Hut body butters are the best happy medium between affordable and super-moisturizing that I’ve found. They’re not quite as moisturizing and don’t sink in quite as quickly as, say, my CYS Silken Body Butters, but they’re also not US$14 a pop. I use them when I need to cover a lot of real estate with something more moisturizing than ordinary lotion, such as after shaving my legs. I also sometimes use them as hand cream, although they’re very slow-absorbing and slightly sticky, so not ideal for that use. Speaking specifically about the mango scent, it’s fruity and a little tart, slightly artificial but not unpleasantly so – it actually reminds me more of peach than of mango, but it’s tasty-smelling and not too sweet or strong. The coconut lime scent is my favorite, though.

This is the best body butter on the face of the earth. The scent is delicious, so much that you almost want to eat it. The texture is also amazing and moisturizes well. The other scents in their line are great too. You can get a big tube or tub at Walmart for 5 bucks…can’t beat that!

I was very disappointed when they stop making and selling tree hut mango body butter. I was
told it was not a good seller. Not so the store I bought it from couldn’t keep it on the shelf. I not only bought the body butter, I also bought the lotion, and the spray oil. The other flavors were very prevelent on the shelf. What is the real reason they stop making mango butter by tree hut.

just ok

LOVE it! I have tried other Mango body butters and none of them smell as great or as easy to apply as Tree Hut Mango Shea Body Butter (minus Body Shop’s. Other body butters didn’t just slide on the skin, they were tacky and sticky, or the smell was ummm yuk. I was really sad when they stopped selling the Mango scent a few years back but I went to Ulta and lo and behold, it’s back! It’s a little more pricey at Ulta than the other scents are at places like Target & Walmart but to me, it’s worth it.

I really want to give this 4.5 stars, but since I can’t, I’m gonna follow the rules I learned in school and round it up to 5.
I’m not a huge fan of super fruity scents, but I decided to sniff this at Ulta the other day because I know that mango is their most popular body butter scent. I was BLOWN away. Not because I love mango, which I just mentioned that I don’t, but because this smells exactly like a Apricot childrens shampoo I used to use when I was a little girl in Germany- I’m a huge sucker for nostalgic scents. Right then I knew I had to buy it! It was like my childhood in a tub of body butter. What could be better?
As far as moisturizing goes, it’s not as moisturizing as the coconut body butter but it is greasier, so apply lightly. The scent is heavenly and stays on for a long time!

I really like the consistency of this and the smell is totally awesome, I love mangoes. However the one thing I really don’t like is the fact that I could put this on in the morning, and by the time I go to bed, I still feel like I have lotion on and I feel a bit greasy. I really don’t like that because it feels like it hasn’t soaked in at all, then I feel like it’s all over my clothes too. I think it does an OK job at hydrating my skin and keeping it moisturized and soft, but like I said, I don’t feel as though it completely soaks in. That’s about the main reason for the 3 lippies. Also, even though I do really like the smell of it, it does get a bit over powering after a while. And since this doesn’t soak in all the way, I do find the smell sticks around all day until I wash it off. Which is the only other downside I found about this product. Otherwise, I don’t have any other issues with it. But it’s not the greatest. I’m a sucker for Hempz lotion though, absolutely ADORE that stuff. The pomegranate and triple moisture ones are my two favourites. =p

Im a bit torn with this one – love the consistency and it makes my skin feel great. BUT the smell is just crazy strong…i prefer to use this at night after shower, and the next day my whole bedroom smells like it and it doesnt go away unless i change the sheets and i really dont wanna be changing them daily. It was a present so im glad i didnt waste money on this

Purchased this once, and can’t find it anymore:( I personally loved the smell…very fresh and fruity, not overpowering. The texture is to die for..so smooth and creamy. All of Tree Hut scents are yummy, but this one really stood out to me. I recently saw TH clearanced out at Wal Mart for $1 each and while it was nice to stock up, I am scared that they are DC’ing. This brand is better than BBW or VS in terms of quality and price, so I hope they stick around. I also love Almond & Honey and Brazilian Nut;) The lotions are very hydrating, but I am generally a fan of body butters. Packaging is better than the more costly brands, as Tree Hut actually gives you a pump on their lotions. 17.5 oz on the body wash, 11.75 on the lotions, so you get a generous amount as well (and for $5, that’s a bargain).
Dear Tree Hut, Bring back the Mango. Thanks;)

I didn’t buy this product but tested little on my skin. The smell as soon as you open the jar is terrible. NOTHING like mangos. It works good though but the smell. Eew.
