It smells like actual lavenders, and the fragrance lasts as well. The lotion is also very sheer when rubbed in, but moisturizing. This would make a great gift for someone older, such as an aunt, grandma, or mother.

I would have to mix this with something heavier to moisturize my body, but the scent is creamy and rich lavender without that dirty powder tone I get a lot from many products said to be lavender scented. Even my scent averse family likes this. I put a quarter size dollup on my hands and it is pretty strong, so you do not need much at all.

Oh, what a divine scent…My husband bought the perfume and body wash for me on our first anniversary, and I have loved it since. It has always reminded me of a perfumed book-mark sent to me in high school from an Austrian pen-pal…I accidentally left it in the library’s copy of Anna Karenina, and never saw/ smelled it again. (I’ve spent years trying to remember the name of, and find the perfume itself, which I’ve since re-named “Anna Karenina”). Anyway, the Thymes’s Lavender scent is almost identical to that remembered perfume. It has a very old-world, stately quality that you just can’t pin-point. The fragrance is not really that of lavender–though there are definitely lavender undertones. It has a crisp, peppery smell…almost like that of a floral wine infused with verbena, clary sage, and a tiny bit of cedar wood. This is without doubt the most complex (and difficult) fragrance I’ve attempted to describe–yet by far, one of the most wonderful.

Moisturizes very well without greasiness. I’m not that crazy about lavender scents, but this didn’t bother me so much. Have no idea how much it costs or what the packaging is like since mine was a nifty sample packet that I got in a swap. Would definitely repurchase.

I generally like Thymes products but I really did not care for this one. Any drugstore body lotion would have better moisturizing results than this one. And it might also smell much better than this one where the lavender scent is hardly detectable.

Ridiculously overpriced-strong scent-
moisturizes only mediocre.
My advice-
Buy drugstore moisturizers and add a drop of lavender.
They work as good or better than these expensive lotions.

I’ve had the same bottle for a few years now, and only began using it again recently. This smells purely like real lavender – not artificial scented lavender. The scent is the real deal, however, the texture of the lotion is a bit runny, but I think this works well given that I use this at night to relax so don’t want something overly rich.

This lotion is relaxing and calming because it contains lavender essential oil, which is mind-easing, reduces anxiety, and promotes restful sleep. It has a soothing herbal scent, but also smells old-fashioned and powdery, and reminds me of urinal cake. This scent is fairly subtle, but does linger. The consistency is not too thick or thin, and absorbs quickly. Imparts a beautiful, healthy-looking sheen, without being greasy. Even though this moisturizes well initially, it does not last a long time.

From The Body Shop’s Aromatherapy Line. This lotion is categorized as “Relaxing,’ and it actually does include lavender essential oil, which gives it a true lavender fragrance, rather than the soapy fake scent of so many drugstore “lavender” products. The lotion is a useful daily product, not too thin and not too thick, although it might not be moisturizing enough for winter weather. The lavender fragrance fades away gently, which I like, because then the lotion doesn’t clash with my perfume. Sold as a 8.4 oz. bottle, with an appealing vintagey label.

I like this lotion well enough- it’s a passable lavender lotion. It’s reasonably moisturizing, and it does indeed smell of lavender. I think I still prefer L’Occitane lavender lotions, however, as they tend to be more moisturizing and smell nicer. This is significantly cheaper than L’Occitane, however, so in the even that I didn’t feel like paying those prices, I’d probably buy this again as a substitute.

I got this lotion as my free birthday gift for the club you can be in there. I love it. It’s the first lavender item I’ve tried and the scent is so relaxing. I keep it next to my bed and apply it to my hands before going to sleep. I just keep smelling my hands and breathing in the relaxing scent. I love it. I definitely plan to try other lavender scented items in the future.

from the body shop’s lavender aromatherapy line. a wonderful, true lavender scent that i use before bedtime to help me relax. although this contains grapeseed oil and vitamin e, i wouldn’t describe this as the most moisturizing lotion i have come across. however, it does a decent enough job of moisturizing if you do not have extremely dry skin. definitely worth a try if you are a fan of lavender.
