If you are OK with mineral oil being a main ingredient, as I am because the stuff works, you’ll find this to be an excellent moisturizer. I have extremely dry and flaky limbs (sorry, TMI), and this lotion keeps my skin moisturized for more than a day. But the fragrance is way, way, WAY overwhelming. It’s not a bad fragrance; there’s just entirely too much of it. Four lippies overall because of effectiveness, but minus one because I can only use it when there’s nobody else around because I hate to be pungent.

Why do I ever bother buying things without checking the reviews here first? I didn’t mind this lotion initially…it does moisturize pretty well, especially liked it for my legs after shaving. But it just smells so strong and sharp, almost medicinal like a prescription skin ointment, and it has a kind of sticky texture that just sits on your skin. I stopped using it after a couple of months. There are better body lotions at a similar price point.

My boyfriend has the softest skin I have ever felt on a human being. He uses only Keri Original. I bought this product and really like it.
At first it feels wet but I just do my makeup or hair while I let it ‘dry’ off so I don’t stick to my clothes.
I hope I will feel like him soon.

My family has been using Keri for many years. Recently, I was send to buy more to find the packaging has changed and I cannot remember which kinda we have been using. So I looked at the labels and smelled the lotion and Shea Butter was the closest to what I thought we used. It definitely smells the same, but the formula is very greasy and leaves my hands feeling sticky. I’m going to buy the “for very dry skin” one next time.

This stuff STINKS! it literally makes my eyes sting when applied… that’s how strong it is and not a good strong. It smells like a man’s brut but you can’t tell that when just sniffing it in the store. I only bought this expensive lotion because of a good coupon but never again. it is also very sticky!

Moisturizing, mineral oil based lotion. Kind of greasy, but good for very dry skin. Probably won’t repurchase because I was hoping for more shea butter. It is also pretty good as a hand lotion. I was thinking Keri was supposed to be a good brand. I should have looked at the ingredient list first. I never buy any lotion with mineral oil so high up in the ingredient list. Mineral oil is cheap. Shea butter, not so much. I should have gone with what I know – Jergens Shea Butter is very nice, has more shea butter in it and smells very yummy.
Ingredient list (from drugstore.com): Water, Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), PEG 40 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 100 Stearate, PEG 4 Dilaurate, Laureth 4, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Propylparaben, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Leaf Juice, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E)

love, love, love this lotion for my body and even my extremely dry hands…
once you try this product, you wont like anything else (from expensive stuff to drugstore products) just try it, it is fabulous! but it has to be the Shea butter one, not the regular.
It is an hybrid between creamy oil and a liquid, thin lotion..
texture is light but moisture last for days, not heavy, not think, liquid, and give you a beautiful glow for your arms and legs.
Please try it… Once you try keri shea butter, you never go back! lol!

My skin broke out immediately, but then again my skin is very sensitive. This lotion isn’t really inexpensive either. I would rather spend the $7 towards an Aveeno product. It’s pretty greasy too. Probably won’t be buying again.

The first bottle I bought worked wonderfully for me. It moisturized and kept me hydrated for at least 24 hrs, especially during harsh winter weather and drying indoor heating. It added a nice glow to my tanned skin. Then by the second and third bottle, I don’t know if my skin chemistry changed or the lotion formula did. I found it wasn’t as thick and didn’t keep me hydrated as well. By the next morning my arms and legs would need another slather of lotion. Since I continue to use the same body wash and a humidifier at night, I can only conclude it is the lotion.

I, too, found this to be pretty greasy. It also left my skin feeling tacky for a long time after I used it, but once it absorbed my skin felt pretty good. I decided to try mixing it with some of my Bath & Body Works lotions that have very strong scents, and the mixture is much better than the Keri alone. The scent of the BBW lotion is diminished and there is less greasiness from the Keri. It absorbs faster and my skin doesn’t feel sticky. The moisturizing and softening affect lasts 24 hours. I’ll finish off this bottle of Keri, but won’t re-purchase.
