I’m writing this review based on its results on my mother who is about 50 years old.
When we went shopping recently, she picked this up. Apparently the only chemical product she uses on her face is this moisturizer. To cleanse, she simply uses lukewarm water in the shower. This is mind-blowing to me because she has PERFECT. Absolutely PERFECT skin. No wrinkles or lines. No large visible pores. Her skin is so smooth you’d doubt that I am her daughter (I’ve large visible pores thanks to oily/combo skin).
So I read the ingredient list and I have to say there were plenty of red flags – parabens, mineral oil, alcohol, glycerin… I was appalled. How could a product with such horrible ingredients be the key to good skin?
When I expressed my shock, she told me she uses about two drops of the stuff on her face, diluted. And just apply normally to her body. Perhaps the key to her good skin may be that she uses next to 0 chemical products or the fact that she refuses to stay outdoors for extended periods of time or perhaps its because of this product she’s used routinely for years. All in all, I thought this review would be useful to put up – the product may just be the elixir of youth.

Too thick and difficult to absorb. Prefer the Jergens skin firming lotion which absorbs fast and improves look of wrinkles.

I didn’t kind of bought this myself; someone gave it to me. It will take quite a while for your to smear the lotion evenly on your skin and rub it in, because the consistency is thick and dense. It will also take quite a while for it to absorb. However, if you live in a cold country, I really suggest this during the winter nights. If you live in a hot-humid country, I don’t recommend this much.

When I first bought this product, I didn’t read the label properly. I was hoping to avoid anything with silicones and parabens in them. This doesn’t have silicone but it does have parabens. But I got the giant bottle and it’s such a waste if I don’t use it.
Been only using it at night as it doesn’t fully sink into the skin. It really does take ages to be absorbed, so I suspect my bedding has been absorbing more of the product then my skin but what’s been left on is ok. My skin is soft when I wake up. I can’t say anything about the age defying properties as I’m still young, but I don’t think I’ll be using this product for long enough to comment on it anyway. My skin hasn’t shown any marginal improvement in appearance either.
If you’re okay with parabens or petroleum or mineral oil used in your products, and you don’t mind you or your bedding being sticky, then I think this is ok. It’s pretty cheap for the big bottle, and it still does moisturise (basic function of any moisturiser). Other than that, wouldn’t recommend and won’t be repurchasing.

I picked this up in a whim at Boots when it was on offer. I had a formal to go to which meant revealing my dry skin, flakey arms. I have no idea what made me reach for this moisturiser as opposed to the others in the range. I quite like the fresh smell of this.
Just as with any moisturiser used consistently, the skin on my arms has improved. It is easily applied and absorbs eventually – careful not to overapply! It can leave a sticky residue. I noticed some tingling when I first started to use this, but then I discovered it contains menthol. It still feels a little tingly but I have had no other reactions to it.
This is the first time I have bought Jergens and I would repurchase – especially when Boots does the great promotions on it!

one thing that i don’t like about this product : STICKY! very uncomfortable to use as a day lotion.. But it’s okay to use as a night lotion, when u don’t need to do something anymore

This is moisturizing all right. It’s a rich cream that leaves my hands smooth. However it doesn’t ever seem to fully sink in, and makes my limbs all sticky. Have a bad feeling that it all rubbed off unto my bedding at night.

I love the idea of this. The smell is also enjoyable (as I’m not always fond of shea butter/cocoa butter, cucumber-melon, etc…lotions). The consistency is smooth, not-too-thick & not-too-thin, but still slightly creamy. The only negative for me is that it feels sort of sticky for a while after I apply it. I think the original is absorbed into my skin better, but this isn’t too bad for the price and size of the bottle.

hmmm i dont know about this product! i have only used it once but it just sat on my skin and it never really skunk in.. i could feel it on my skin all day, which i dont like! another thing which was weird is i put it on and about 30 mins later i look down at my arms and i could see some white residue on my lil hairs, whenever i started rubbing them to get it off it started almost rolling off my skin… maybe i just got a bad bottle! i will try it again and see what happens and update on it!

This lotion is one of the best I’ve ever used before. I like the scent and it moisturizes my skin all day long. I’m happy with this product and i’m sure that as far as it gives me satisfaction, I will purchase it.
It gives you a nice completion. And as I have a greazy face skin, I usually apply the lotion at night and only rinse it the next day. My face is smooth.
