Im a bit shook at all of negative reviews as I did not have a negative experience with this at all. As a matter of fact, this is one if the best Smelling Lotions I have ever Worn. It is Indian Coconut nectar but has a like a Vanilla Cupcake Undertone. Yummm…. Since this is a body butter and not a Lotion, it will apply thicker. I found this to quickly absorb in the skin and the scent stayed for a very long time. The scent for me was very intense and so delicious that I want to eat it, which I like because I dont need to wear perfume or body spray. I just let the Lotion do its job. Im so glad I discovered a new product that I absolutely Live for and will 100% Purchase this again. And maybe, just maybe all if the negative reviews dont know the difference between a Lotion on and a Body Butter, I am not sure but I cant praise this product enough. Im going to look up and see if they have other Flavors/Scents as well. SOOOO Yummy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!

Interesting how mixed the opinions are on this one! In my case, it doesn’t smell like plastic at all. It smells like delicious coconut cake. It’s not overly cloying or strong. The amount of fragrance that remains is just about right.
The texture is pretty thick. I find, though, that it works best if I use a small amount and don’t slather it all over myself.
I love the design of Pacifica’s packaging in general. I do wish their products were slightly cheaper, though.

This smells amazing but it is SO hard to blend into your skin. You have to use a very little amount and even then, it won’t blend into your skin, it just stays on the surface. I was so happy to use this up because of that and I wouldn’t repurchase. It’s such a shame though because I loved the smell of this.

I completely agree. A total waste of money. This stuff smells like plastic. No coconut at all. It does moisturize, yet leaves the skin feeling a little greasy. What a let down. I will stick with Lavanilla.

This does not smell like coconut. It smells like I don’t know what, but it’s not a very good smell and definitely mislabeled. Plus it is so expensive, almost twice comparable products. I feel like I have to use this tube up so as not to waste my $15 so I am gobbing it on on days when I will not be around others much. The second Pacifica lotion I have tried and I’m not impressed. An overpriced waste of money. Just looked at it again and I can’t see the word coconut in the ingredients even.

The formula itself is nice, like a thick cream. Softens your skin and it’s not greasy. However, the scent is a sickly sweet vanilla with maybe a hint of coconut. Very cloy and strong, I do not like it at all . I would recommend testing these before purchasing (Ulta carries this line).

I love Pacifica and this body butter is awesome. I would have given it 5 stars had it smelled more like coconut instead of flower? I am not sure what it is, I cannot put my finger on it. I smell coconut and vanilla (OMG my favorite) but there is something else there.
Great moisturizing quality as usual with Pacifica and a bit pricey. I can’t complain too much, they are all natural and contain no chemicals. Macadamia nut oils, shea butter, mango butter, carrot oil, rose seed oils, kukui nut oils, flax seed oils, and fruit extracts are all in this. Great stuff, but I prefer their Vanilla Island. HG scent for me.

sampled fresh out of the tube, and in the store, this stuff had an amazing scent, like coconut cake.12 hours later the scent still remained. i found it a little too sweet for my taste, almost certain to be overwhelming when used as a body lotion. the scent, while heavy, is not nearly as offensive as a lot of the others i tested (it has slightly artificial vanilla undertones, as opposed to pineapple or gardenias). give this a test run before purchasing.

I bought this because I have always loved smelling the testers at sephora and LOVE coconuts. I have found NEVER EVER put this on chapped hands!!!! My hands are bright, beet red and burning, even after I washed them! The other reviewer nailed it with the rancid coconut crayon smell. Bummed. This cosmetic hoarder is throwing away the entire bottle. 🙁

Love Pacifica products in general, and this body butter is no exception. Indian Coconut Nectar is my absolute favorite of their scents. I have this body butter in the smaller 2.5oz size from a set and the large 8oz size. They do smell differently. The smaller one must have been older because it definately has a more plastic-y smell to it, but the larger 8oz tube smells perfect. Even the smaller one, though, absorbs well and leaves a pleasant scent — it’s just the inital plactic-y scent that dissipates quickly. Maybe make sure you get a fresh tube. If you do, you’ll get the divine creamy coconut vanilla scent I adore so much! And it’s very moisturizing. Love that it’s natural, too. Great company, great product, great scent!
