This is a great Vaseline alternative. Great alternative to Cerave healing ointment, too. At least for me. The Cerave contains silicones, which I don’t like on my skin. Aside from that, the Cerave was very, very greasy and traveled everywhere. I find the Hydrabalm travels much less and somehow wears better, if a product like this can really wear well at all. And Hydrabalm offers some nice extras that neither Vaseline or Cerave offer, like squalane, rice bran oil and Rosehip seed oil.
I don’t use it all the time, but I do use it. Post peel it is awesome, hands down. It really helps with tightness, dryness and seems to speed up the turnover process. I’ve used it after 6 peels so far and it’s helped a good bit. I also apply it right after waxing my face and it helps there, too.
It’s 23$ which is expensive, but a little goes a long way and I’ve barely made a dent in my tube after having it for 6-7 months. Will definitely repurchase.

Absolute best lip balm on the planet. I suffered from severely dry lips for years until my dermotologist gave me a sample of this product. I have purchased three tubes for my family and have two in my home. The additional products added to the petroleum must make the difference as vaseline never worked on my dry lips.

Fancy vaseline. Disappointed…

Primacy is the texture of an ointment ( think Aquaphor) and has a baby soft scent. This is excellent at sealing in moisture ( from the petrolatum) and adding lipids to the skin ( from the rose hip oil, squalane and oat kernel oil). Also contains vitamin E and aloe extract. Best applied to damp skin to seal in the moisture. I wake up with super soft feet and hands. I also use this on my very dry neck at night. Comes in huge 5 oz tube ($24) that will last quite a while. Preservative free product.
Ingredients: Petrolatum, Rosa Canina fruit oil, Squalane, Oat kernal oil, Aloe extract, Bisabolol, Vitamin E, fragrance.

My salon sells this product and used it on my hands and heels. It will absolutely heal any roughness in your heels overnight. A LITTLE goes a long way. A tube usually lasts me a year. When I get out the shower I put a small dab on each heel and ball of my feet while I do my hair, makeup ect. By the time I’m done, it’s done soaking in. Perfect!

Another great product from SkinCeuticals. This has to be 95%+ vaseline and uber-occlusive, but I’m finding it perfect for my winter chapped hands. I put an AHA underneath and then seal it in with this. The Hydra Balm has an ingredient I’ve never seen before…Rosa Canina Fruit Oil…don’t know exactly what it does… and then there’s squalane, oat kernal oil, aloe, bisabolol, and vit E. I’ve used this overnight to soften my dry feet also, although I usually put cotton socks on when I do that. I guess I could just use straight vaseline instead of paying the big bucks for this, but my aesthatician used it on my hands during a facial, and I was hooked. Nice product.
