its a meh from me. I have very dry heels, and elbows. I used to get dermatitis on them as a child and even as an adult they are naturally dry and crusty no matter how hard I work at caring for them. Rubbing pure petroleum jelly on my heels of a night time works brilliantly for moisturising and softening my dry skin. This stuff, not so much. Its very lightweight, feels soft for a few moments but really didn’t make a difference to the dryness despite being good at applying it nightly for the entire life of the product. I’ll go back to the petroleum jelly, cheaper and more effective than this stuff.

This is just ok for me. I’ve tried a LOT of foot creams and I feel like this isn’t anything special. It’s certainly not a bad product. It has a nice texture and sinks in very quickly. I wouldn’t describe it as super rich. It has a minty/eucalyptus sort of scent. I’ve tried several other foot creams that I like better, especially for the price.

Repurchased. It works. I initially got this as part of a Black Friday trio. I wanted to try the Hand Chemistry hand cream and for the price of the hand cream I got all three items. The Ordinary/Deciem has great Black Friday deals. This foot cream softens hard skin. Absorbs quickly, smells nice and does not sting or cause peeling.
My second tube was purchased from well.ca.

My heels tend to be quite dry and I have to use a foot pumice every night or else they can get pretty scaly. Also, the underside of my big toe and the balls of my feet, the skin tends to crack and peel. I have tried the usual suspects: pedi egg, scrubs, moisturizers etc. All seem to offer only temporary relief and in some cases I find “scraping” makes things worse in the long run. So I gave this a try. At first I thought it wasn’t much; just another moisturizer that would only temporarily “soften” for the night but over time I realized I was using my foot pumice less and less and my feet were not as dry. It was actually working. Initially, I applied it diligently once a day (they say to do it twice a day but I don’t in the am) and within a few weeks I could definitely say my feet were much improved. I used up one container over a month or two and bought another. Now I tend to use even less, not daily, that’s for sure, and it seems to be “maintaining” just fine. I can go a week or more without it, then I remember and use it for a few nights again. I find now I only use the pumice if I feel like there is just too much “dead” skin and I want to remove it, not because my heels are rough or there is any ragged skin. So it seems to be working quite well; I will see how it works in the winter, when my feet get worse generally. That will be the real test. But for now I am quite satisfied with the product and now that my feet are in good shape I don’t find the product too expensive. If I had to use it twice a day, daily, to get and then also to maintain results, I would think its pretty pricy. But at this rate, it works out fine. I also bought it on sale the first time at Well.ca so that helps. I have been using the product for about 4 months.
Re the packaging. I cut the package about half way down and dipped my fingers in because I found it wouldn’t all settle to the bottom (squeeze opening end) even when left sitting that way. It tends to stick to the sides of the tube. Still was plenty of product left and I used that over the next week or so at least.

I suffer from very dry heels and often cracking so I picked this up to try and help. I usually lightly pumice my heels at least once a week in the shower and I use a foot cream every night. This is a medium weight lotion that applies easily with a cooling effect that isn’t very strong like a peppermint foot lotion but very pleasant. The texture and application is great and it quickly absorbs into your feet. It feels like it’s sunk in and not just sitting on your skin surface. It’s a quick fix and moisture boost for me.
Unlike the reviewer before me, I didn’t have lasting effects, or sub-surface effects/changes. I used religiously at night for about a month (not in morning mainly due to time) and I find if I don’t have it applied, I still dried out quickly and my problems return. It’s not the best or worst cream that I’ve used. I think it’s a bit of a splurge for the pleasant usability of it.

My heels and the balls of my feet are very leathery, and the dead skin is flaky white. It’s not pretty. I use baby foot peel a few times a year and I like it, but my hard skin will return within a month. My usual problem with foot creams is that I don’t feel like they penetrate my skin. They’ll stay greasy on the surface and my skin just isn’t effectively hydrated. This product doesn’t contain any chemical exfoliants like baby foot, and since its major claim is that it does penetrate for below surface hydration, I picked it up. The price is reasonable, but I do think that the 100mL size is on the small side considering product rec is to use twice daily for two weeks. That used over 80% of the bottle and to continue to use it regularly would become cost prohibitive for me.
The texture of my skin has definitely improved. I still have hard skin, but it’s apparent that my skin is healing. Instead of feeling like a textured/epi/saffiano leather it now feels like buttery full grain leather… if you know what I mean. What is most striking is the improvement of appearance. It immediately saturates the dead skin on my feet; I go from chalk white to human colored in two seconds. This effect was temporary for the first few days, but after the one week mark I didn’t see any more dead, white skin at all. I CAN WEAR SANDALS NOW. I also want to point out that the drier skin on my hands has improved dramatically as well, simply from applying this product to my feet.
I like the medicinal smell and its cooling effect. I also like the texture, and I have experienced their deep hydration claim. As soon as you apply the product it sinks right in so I can walk across my carpet without all kinds of fibers sticking to me! I’m currently applying it every other night to maintain results, and am looking forward to seeing how long the effects last once the bottle runs out. I will update! And then I’ll repurchase!
Update: After the bottle ran out, the effects did wear off about five weeks later, even using a different lotion product instead. My feet were right back to hard skin. I did a baby foot peel and then I repurchased. Again after about a week of using the Heel Chemistry, I was starting to see sustained results once more. Having finished my 2nd bottle now and allowed the effects to wear off again, I am happy to continue to use this product in the summers, but using it year round would be very expensive. Because I find the visual change in the appearance of my skin to be the best benefit, I love having this during sandal season, but I feel comfortable with letting my skin return when no one really has to look at my feet. ALSO, this is still one of the fastest absorbing lotions I’ve had the opportunity to use!
