I got the small 50 ml bottle at Marshalls after researching great hand creams and though I’ve only had it for a short amount of time, I’ve come to like it a lot! It’s very moisturizing and it does help with cuticles, which is what I was looking for in the first place. It’s very light so my hands feel moisturized, but not greasy which leaves me able to go on and do the things I need to do throughout the day, while my hands remain soft. The smell is a little strong, but it’s not that I hate enough to detract another lippie for. My only problem is the fact that it has the tendency to squirt out of the tube a little too intensely since it’s so light.

For some reason, it’s hard to find a nice thick hand cream that comes in a pump formula. Stumbled upon this stuff at Walmart one day and bought it based purely on that reason since I use it on my nightstand. I LOVED the cream. I used it every night and my hands and cuticles were in great shape. I didn’t even realize how bad my nails were until I started using this and suddenly no more hang nails or cracking cuticles. Now -1 star because I went to repurchase and couldn’t find the same bottle. It is now in a smaller bottle (for the same price?!) and the formula has changed. It’s way thinner and doesn’t moisturize quite as well. Still the best I’ve found for pump hand cream though.

A friend got me a gift set of 3 Herbacin hand care creams (and an emery board) and this “balm” (it’s really more a lotion than an actual balm) is one of the 3 products. I really like it, both for my hands (which take a beating, especially in winter) and for putting a bit of moisture into my nails as well.

I’ve only been using this cream for about a week but so far I like it. It absorbs quickly but leaves my hands with a super soft silky feeling, it almost feels like silk. It seems fairly moisturizing so far, but the real test for me is if it keeps my cuticles moisturized even after washing my hands. I’ve used some creams where after washing the cuticles look sooo dry and it’s only moisturizing while you have it on. Anyway, so far so good.

*** EDIT 2010/12/11 : I threw out my bottle after I noticed that the smell changed (for the worse) and that it wasn’t any better than what I remembered. Still to this day, I wouldn’t use this. I much prefer the regular Herbacin crean, which I still use everyday.

I completely agree with the previous reviewer. I own this product as well as the 75 ml hand cream in the tin and the 100 ml hand cream in the green tube. The three cream are very different. The hand & nail balm is way thinner in consistency as the other two products, which are greasier and waxier in consistency. The nail balm leaves a slight greasy residue/film on your hands, which can be annoying at times. I think it doesn’t absorb as well into the skin and it’s definately not as moisturizing as the regular cream, though it is still better than many other hand creams I have tried. I use the nail balm when I want something that sinks into the skin faster. The pump is handy, but that’s not enough for me to repurchase. I’ll keep using it because I have a lot left, but I way prefer the regular creams over this product. The only special feature this product has is its fresh, cucumber-y smell, which is quite nice. The regular creams don’t smell much of anything but it doesn’t really bother me.

This is quite different than the original Herbacin hand cream. This is a lighter lotion in a pump bottle. It is nice, but not quite as moisturizing as the original hand cream. I found that I had to reapply often. However, it did help keep my cuticles soft during the winter months, so it might be good for you if you don’t want to buy a seperate product for your cuticles. Overall, it’s not bad, but I like the smell and texture of the original Herbacin hand cream better.

This is a very basic, average hand cream. I personally didn’t like its fragrance. I have soft hands and there was absolutely no difference in the softness between the before and after, not right after I used it, not the next day. All the other hand creams I have tried in the past had made my skin softer at some level, not this one. I imagine if you have dry hands this might help a little and because it absorbs very quickly it might be nice for those who need to use a hand cream multiple times a day and go back to working with their hands right afterward, but for others there are really many better hand creams for the same price or even cheaper.

I find this moisturizes very well, is non greasy and absorbs quickly. I also find this lasts until the next hand washing. It does have a mild frangrance, not the same as the lotion. This cream is not quite as thick as vanicream, but thicker than the vanicream lite lotion. This is not fancy by any means, does what it needs to do, and that’s what I was looking for. I do think it’s over priced, but will continue to buy because that’s how much I like it. I have used this on and off for over 2 years

thin consistency, absorbs pretty quick… and is gone. no moisturizing quality whatsoever… that’s it. won’t buy again.

nothing special of this hand cream. the texture is pretty runny. I have very dry hands, My hands still free dry after using it. There are too many better ones comparing with other hand cream.

My hands are super dry and I like the Shower Gel Oil from Sebamed, so I figured the lotion would be good too. Not really. I like the consistency, not to think and it absorbs quickly, but just not as moisturing as I need. Nice, subtle smell and I am glad that my hands aren’t greasy after using it.

I’ve been using this for years, along with my mom. The thing that I REALLY like is that it absorbs really fast. It’s also very moisturizing, and it leaves no greasy residue, unlike many other hand creams. It’s perfect for using at work or school when I want quick moisture without the grease stopping me from doing paperwork. The fragrance is a little strong though, and the price is quite expensive. But it’s worth it, I think.

Although a bit runny, I think it does moisturize better than many other products (it’s from Germany, of course). I will stick with the Herbacin Kamille, though (also from Germany).

Very affordable basic hand cream. The consistency is quite runny, and I usually prefer more creamier consistencies. I think it’s somewhat lacking in moisturizing properties. What I like best about though, is that it genuinely absorbs fast. The fragrance in neutral, which I prefer.
