Excellent hand cream from the brand behind ‘The Ordinary’ (Deciem). I bought this for my mum initially, who just so happened to love it and insisted I try it too. Instantly loved it, sinks in pretty fast and actually moisturizes really well, my hands felt so smooth and hydrated. Ended up purchasing a tube for myself, it is slightly pricey but not that much more than my all time fave: Origins Rejuvinating Hand Treatment. One thing to note if you have sensitive skin this may not be for you – it’s very perfumed. And although not initially but over time, it does start to turn slightly waxy, sitting on the surface of skin and not absorbing as well. I find that happens after about 7-8 months from opening, even though it’s recommended to use up within 12 months. Despite that I highly recommend if you want amazingly soft hands and improved skin texture and condition.

I’m 40 and my hands are usually dry and old looking. I’ve been using this for 2 weeks and I can already see a difference. Skin is so much smoother, looks 10 years younger. I can’t get over how much it worked for me. It absorbs straight away and has a slight scent. I gave some to my 70yo mum and she said it’s made a big difference to her hands as well. Super product IMO. I wish I did a B&A!

Thick, slightly sticky but surprisingly not moisturizing. I would say the scent is close to a very mild bubble gum.
Would pass on this overpriced, ineffective hand cream.

I’ve been using this hand cream for about a month. I have not been religious about daily application, but try to remember to. Most of the time, I apply it twice daily. Like others have said in the reviews, this product has not wowed me and I keep looking at my hands wondering if there is any difference yet, which means there is minimal, if any. The product itself smells wonderful, a mango/fruity bright scent that lingers for about a half hour. The formula is rich and thick, a little does go a long way, and with almost daily use, I have not emptied the 30ml size yet. My hands are definitely less dehydrated looking, but still crepe-y with age spots. I started applying a layer of vaseline shea and coco butter gel over the cream, once it has a chance to absorb some, to seal it in. I’m not sure if the vaseline product or the hand chemistry product has made the most hydration difference. I really wanted to love this product. I am finding that Deciem products are hit or miss, and this one is a miss for me,except for slightly increased hydration.
EDIT: I wanted to mention that the Deciem Hand Chemistry website states that you will notice an improvement in as quickly as 11 days. I did not expect that, but after a month, did want some noticeable improvement in texture and spot fading.
After a few months of using this hand cream, I can say that it does work, but for me, the results were slow to develop. I have hands with smoother skin, fewer lines, wrinkles, crepe-y ness, and faded dark spots. I have purchased the 100ml size and plan to keep using this product for a long time. It is more than just a moisturizer, which is what most hand products are in a nutshell.
UPDATE: 2 months later and I can truly say my hands look younger, more hydrated and softer.

tldr; average hand cream. No greasy residue. Soft scent.
I got this as part of set to try out and it’s a light to medium texture with a soft scent. It applies a bit thick (almost like a heavily glycerin based cream) but actually absorbs down to a non-greasy finish within a few minutes. It’s quite pleasant to use.
I used the lotion at night for a few weeks and live in a low humidity environment and have very dry and dehydrated skin on the back of my hands. It didn’t not improve the texture of my skin any better than the Vaseline hand/nail lotion that I used previously – and it costs much more. I love HA but it didn’t feel like I was getting any additional benefits. I think there are better moisturizing hand lotion products out there.

Like the other reviewers say, really rich and thick which was much appreciated in winter months. Price is steep, but a little bit goes a long way so it’s all relative. I like the packaging, the pink is bright and cheerful. The perfume is delicious.

Thick, pricey and takes a while to dry which is a downfall for hand creams in my book.

For hand lotion this product is pretty pricey – $20 but it’s supposed to have this mushroom ingredient that is 40x more effective than hyaluronic acid. Maybe I should save this for my face.
However the lotion just doesn’t work that well. My thoughts are that ANY lotion for your hands is better than none so to that extent this product does moisturize your hands and makes your hand feel better but it’s no better than the free lotion they have in pump bottles by the sink next to the antiseptic gel in my office.
Texture wise I would say it feels like a cross between Neutrogena Norwegian Lotion and Vaseline. Not as greasy as neutrogena but definitely silicony. Your hands look less dry for about 15 minutes.
Has a very slight scent of bubble gum. The traditional kind like Hubba Bubba from my past.
Unlike others I just haven’t discovered a Deciem product that’s wowed me yet. Am still trying a few other items from their product line as the ingredients seem stellar and price point fabulous and will review once I give it a bit more time to work (or in my case NOT work).
