So. I absolutely love this as a hand cream in the winter, I cannot get enough of that glycerin/slippery feel. HOWEVER…I do not use this product primarily as a hand cream.
I’m reviewing this product as a facial primer. Yes, a facial primer. Remember years ago when Nivea men’s post shave balm became all the rage for facial primer? Well, this is a lot more effective at keeping your makeup in tact all day, and i mean ALL day.
I have combo/sensitive/acne prone skin that really likes to be fickle and I’ve been using this probably for about 2 years now with regular use 5 times a week as a primer with NO BREAKOUTS. That being said, I do realize that using hand cream on your facial skin is generally very frowned upon in the beauty community and in general, so before anyone out there starts frivolously typing away to tell me that the skin on your hands is different than the skin on your face and that this stuff is horrible for your face as it will clog your pores – yes I know, but guess what? No clogged pores here…NONE…and at the end of the day it’s MY face, not yours. PS. I use the unscented version in the white tube, duh 🙂 PPS. This actually says “dermatologist recommended” right on the packaging, so if it’s hand and body safe, I reckon it might just be face safe as well – derms won’t just put their stamp of approval on anything.
This makes my makeup stay on for a full work day and then at least another 5-6 hours afterward if I’m heading out to dinner with friends or to town with my boyfriend. I use this after my daily moisturizer (Cetaphil moisturizing cream in the huge tub) and usually follow up with my trusted Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation on top. Seriously if you analyze the ingredients in this cream and compare to most high end primers such as the ever so popular (but overpriced) Smashbox photo finish, they are basically the exact same thing. So why plunk down $40 + dollars for something I will use up in a few months when I can spend less than a third of that for a ginormous tube or jar of something so wonderful AND multi-purpose? NOTE: I do use this sparingly as you really only need a dime sized amount if using this on the face. (I still have not used up a 200ml tube of this in the past 2 years of almost daily use, that’s saying something in terms of the value you get for your $$)
For all the makeup lovers out there, if you already use a very silicone heavy primer, I say give this a shot just for a day or 2 and I promise you will not be disappointed. I have ones in my purse, on my makeup vanity AND at work for everyone in the winter to use on their hands. Fantastic product, 5 stars. 🙂

I have this in the body lotion variety and I really like it. Very soothing & moisturizing. I use it on my legs, elbows & feet at night and wake up with smooth skin in the morning. The scent is pleasant as well.

I have been using this for several years and its my holy grail in the winter. It compares to high end hand creams with a seasonable price.

We get the really large tubes of this at Costco and have it all over the house. I have some lovely, pricier hand creams and I love using them but I also wash my hands a LOT at work and at home (meal prep) so having a less expensive option for frequent application is a necessity unless I want to take out a small bank loan to buy Kiehl’s or Clarins. This can feel a bit slick and slippery but I if I wipe my hands with a cotton tea towel, that usually takes care of the greasiness.

This is a very strange product but it works pretty well. I bought a travel-size ($2.50) for my office as my hands get very dry during the day and I’ve been using it for about a week so far. It comes out as a very water-based thick lotion, similar to a get consistency and goes on really smoothly – almost too smooth. This stuff feels like I’ve gone and used a strangely moisturizing silicone-based primer to my whole hands, it feels just like baby skin by maybelline but all over your hands. It actually even feels a bit greasy. I checked the ingredients and it’s pretty much ALL silicone and dimethicone (pretty much no chamomile) which are in all of those pore-filling clear primers. BUT it does make my hands feel amazingly soft with minimal grease residue after it settles. I don’t think it would improve the texture of your hands over time, but it works well for temporarily relieving dryness.

I got the little travel size as I was in a pinch for a quick hand lotion. the ONLY thing I like about this is the squeeze bottle packaging lol. It cost me $6.00. Which is pretty cheap but that is $6.00 on complete crap. I hate this stuff, it isn’t testing on animals but it has silicones in it and other ingredients that you can’t pronounce. No fragrance just a faint smell of sunscreen, weird… My hands are very soft but it takes FOREVER to sink it, it’s greasy and just feels gross. I had to wipe the excess on my pants just so my hands were not sliping off my mouse at work. Once a lifetime has passed and it has sunk into you skin it leaves this gross film on your hands and your hands feel dirty. Will not be buying this again.

I use to have a love/hate relationship with this product, but lately I’ve started to adore this product as the reason I didn’t like it was due to it being so greasy! I work in a environment where we wash our hands every 2-5 mins and you can imagine how dry your hands can get. This stuff honestly saved my hands many times! I will use just a bit but if I do squeeze a little too much, I rub on my elbows, arms, legs etc until my hands have absorbed enough where I can hold stuff without it slipping out of my hands. My dry elbows are fixed within one day of this stuff, and sometimes I’ll use on my feet too after 12 hr shifts and it does a good job with making them soft. I usually do nighttime treatments where I’ll use a good amount on my hands and sleep with this stuff which my hands turn out soft the next day. Does it last after washing? Eh it’s hard to say.. you can feel this stuff when your washing your hands like a film but sometimes my hands are normal sometimes I feel like I need more lotion so it’s a hit and miss really, but if you need fast relief this is what you need. The smell doesn’t bother me but they do have a fragrance free one. I usually have a big size at home then a small tube in my purse or somewhere on hand 🙂

Absolutely love! My hands get so dry though the winter with my jobs (constantly washing them) and applying this every night saves them! It is amazing. Defiantly my go-to cream.

I was looking for a budget hand cream and found this one from drugstore. It’s a bargain for a 250ml large bottle given small amount goes a long way.
It’s long lasting, my hands are smooth and moist throughout the day. The scent is mild and after a while, I can’t even smell it.
I didn’t feel there is a residue while my hands are not in water. However, as soon as I wash my hand, I can feel there is residue left behind. It feels like I’m washing my hand cream off. It doesn’t bother me much, it’s like an extra protection.

The only hand cream I use and carry with me because it works to moisturize hands fast and provides instant relief. I’m required to wash my hands really often in my line of job, wash my hands like almost every 10 mins and this product is a life saver, other hand creams don’t match up.
