Got a free sample from a local dermatologist and this seems to be a VERY good product for itchy, bumpy, dry skin.
I do NOT have eczema but I used it on dry legs/knees and elbow.
Not bad!!! Picked up another sample tube from the dame derm a few weeks later. For free? It’s just fine.
And fragrance-free.

I only purchased this a few days ago but it has already become a miracle product for me.
I have had eczema on and off since I was a little girl. It will randomly flare up. My legs are effected the worse, from my knees on down. All my life it has been a constant battle to find what worked and what didn’t.
Well one thing that worked quite well was tanning. The UV light kept my eczema at bay but obviously at a damaging cost. I only tanned for about 3 years or so and finally decided that paying for cancer was dumb and quit. Much to my dismay though, the skin on my legs started to flare up again about 6 months or so after I quit tanning. They were the worst at night, and I was scratching myself bloody in my sleep. The skin on my legs was getting puffy and red and shaving was once again becoming a thing or horrors.
The only thing that was remotely working was hemp oil but I really hate the smell and the fact that the oil is green and can stain clothing, not to mention the smell can ooze into clothes and walking around smelling like a concentrated bale of grass and hay is not really a good thing.
So I was in Target the other day and saw this cream. The price was a little off putting for such a small tube (around $7 for 2 oz) but I was at an extreme level of desperation.
From the first application I knew that it was different. My legs immediately felt soothed. I also really like that it completely absorbs. That was another problem with using oil or oily lotions on my skin… the oil slick left behind always made my skin feel more irritated. That is why all my life when doctors recommended things like Eucerin original cream or Aquaphor, I never found any relief… my skin would always reject anything that left a layer of grease on my skin with added irritation, I actually need whatever I use to fully absorb. I only used a small dab for each leg but even with trying to use it sparingly, I know the 2 oz tube won’t last long.
But I went the entire day without itching or irritation. My skin felt normal again. Before I went to bed I put on a few more dabs and it kept me itch and irritation free throughout the night.
So this has been my routine over the past few days, I use a small amount on my lower legs 2x daily. My skin is improving, it no longer feels or looks puffy and swollen and most of the redness has faded. I haven’t been getting itchy but if I feel some itch coming on I put on a little cream and it quickly fades.
This instant creme is pricey for my needs. I saw that Eucerin also makes an 8oz Eczema Relief Body Cream that retails for around $11. I checked the ingredients and they are pretty close to identical to this so I might give that a try and see if it has the same results as the instant relief creme. It would definitely be more cost effective seeing I need this for a larger area than just spots of eczema. If it doesn’t work the same I will gladly fork over the money for this if it means I am not miserable in my own skin.
