This cream gave me a rash, which was very unfortunate, especially since I do not have sensitive skin on my hands. The cream smells really nice and I like the idea of a shimmer lotion, but the first time I put it on my hands I noticed they became even more dry and red splotches showed up on the top of my hands. I immediately washed it off. It’s been a few hours now and I’ve tried several other creams with natural ingredients to calm down my skin and it seems to finally be calming down. I was very disappointed. Definitely would not recommend this product.

I bought this because it was limited edition around Christmas time last year! I don’t use this daily, only at special events. I love the sweet smell and the shimmer it gives to my skin. 🙂

I got this as a gift with purchase (I think because I signed up for the loyalty card), came with a sample of the matching shower gel which I am really liking. I applied this lotion for the first time this morning after showering with the matching shower gel. A shame I am wearing pants, because I actually really like the shimmer; pretty delicate glitter, I think it’s multi-coloured. This re-issue is labeled as “Frosted Cranberry Shimmer” and that’s a great description for the shimmer, a pretty winter body shimmer. It isn’t very moisturizing, though, so I wouldn’t use every day; I will put some on my shoulders and upper body when I feel like sparkling through the holidays, though. Not heavily scented so I think I can get away with it at our office christmas party (we have an unscented workplace policy). Not sure I would re-purchase.

I got it in 250 ml pump bottle. In my country this body lotion is another annual limited edition from the body shop. it is part of christmas 2011 edition. I chose this one because it’s so unique, comes with shimmery look and contents 50ml more than the body butter version. when I tried this lotion with my mum, we suddenly in love with this product. smells good.my mum said it smells as candy.i agree!!!
Pros :
– smells good.like candy and feels so fresh when put in on skin
– leaves shimmery look(good for night using)
– the shimmers are long last
– big pump bottle(extra 50 ml than the body butter version)
– the packaging is so fancy and eye catching
– not really expensive as branded body lotion even though it is more expensive than other common drugstore or supermarket lotions as vaseline,nivea,etc.
Cons :
– the clerkship said it’s a limited edition product, so it might not for sale again in my country T_____T
– because it is a body lotion, not a body butter, so it is not as longlast as body butter… but the shimmers are longlast(as i explained before).but the texture is quite similiar to body butter , so creamy….

I purchased this for the christmas season, and my partner loved the smell, however i found it quite strong for me. I like the shimmer it brought but the smell to me was a bit too much. I did have a few comments, as has been made by other reviewers of the cranberry products, that it did tend to smell a bit boozy. I would get comments from my work partners about a strong wine smell! Maybe that is from the wet humid sub tropical weather i am in, but i wasnt keen on smelling like that so i will not repurchase. The strong cranberry smell might be more suited to a more frosty winter climate.

The sparkles seem cool at first, but it becomes a bit overwhelming in time. I like the smell, but it’s way too concentrated, I even get nauseus from smelling it for too long. It does pretty well moisturizing though.

I received this as a gift. I have been off the Body Shop since it is now owned by L’Oreal but I will use the products I am given. This is awesome! The one they came out with this year is super moisturizing and just a hint of shimmer. I find a lot of their regular lotions don’t do much but this one makes my skin super soft and it comes in a pump bottle! Thumbs up!

Though I do like the true cranberry scent of this at first, I swear I eventually begin to smell like celery. It’s also so strongly scented that it’s overwhelming – forget about wearing it with perfume. As a lotion, it moisturizes so well that it’s hard to believe it has shimmer – my skin drinks it right up without any greasiness, and it’s even moisturizing enough for my hands. The shimmer is white, very fine and the overall effect is quite subtle – not as pretty or noticeable as the peachy-golden shimmer in the Satsuma shimmer lotion, but still gives a nice glow. If only it didn’t make me smell like celery later on!

Mmm.. smells so sweet! Cranberry Shimmer Lotion? I like this product. Finally! A way to make your body sparkle without the tacky old-fashioned body glitter. I do not find body glitter very popular, but I do find combination lotion extremely inventive and modern. I wear the cranberry shimmer lotion exclusively at holiday festivities, to limit my special attachment to this product. The shimmer lotion is not oily and not sticky. On the skin, it glides smoothly and is very light-weight, so it won’t clog your pores so badly. You know what I like to hear? No testing on animals! You know what I would like to see and smell? Cranberry shimmer lotion! It won’t harm you if you’re a tester. A lotion and a finder’s keeper!
