Who knew the best face moisturizer I’ve ever used would be a hand cream—after all my tens of trials. I apply this as my last skincare step at night and get bouncy, hydrated, vibrant skin all day long the next day. No breakouts, no greasiness.
This stuff is a wonderful 3-in-1 and so it’s the only moisturizer I need. Hydrating, emollient, and occlusive all in one. Plus it has 4% niacinamide—excellent for maintaining moisture over time. It glides right on and then dries down to a nice non-shiny finish (this is a feat considering it seems to be about as occlusive as the very shiny and gloopy Aquaphor I used to use). The plumping effect is somehow immediate as well!
Since it is labeled as a hand cream, I feel I should say it also works excellently at that. Same thing: instantly supple skin, an effect that lasts without leaving any annoying tackiness. My hands just soak it right up.

Best hand cream I ever tried – no contest. For the price and effectiveness, it is truly worth its value. Sinks in quick and easy, non-greasy, no overpowering scent, and the moisturizing effect is phenomenal. A lot of hand creams have given me some form of itchiness or rash, but never this one. 10/10

This is the such a great product. This is dries down very quickly and is very hydrating. I have bought this over and over because it is so good. It has I believe 4% niacinamide which is very good for your skin.

Finally a cure for my exceedingly dry skin!! I have suffered from incredibly dry, cracking skin on my hands during the winter months for many years. Have purchased virtually every OTC and prescription cream on the market targeting eczema and dry skin and have never really had true relief. At the suggestion of a local dermatologist, I purchased this cream and I could not believe the results. It’s magic seems to be in creating a barrier to moisture to allow the skin to re-generate and strengthen, so you need less and less as time goes on. After only 1 month of using it, my hands were flawless (and it’s October in Canada!). If anyone suffers from eczema or dry, itchy, splitting skin, this is a must. I literally carry a tube in my purse, at my desk, in my car and in every bathroom of my home now. Thank you, thank you!!

So impressed with this hand cream! It’s actually the very best I’ve ever tried especially after some more expensive flops like the Caudalie hand cream that did nothing except from scenting and the Crabtree & Evelin which was nice to use but the effect didn’t last more than 15′.
The consistency of Cicaplast is very thick, a clear-white gel that looks similar to vaseline and it’s a bit hard to squeeze out of the tube. I don’t find it hard to spread though but you might be if used to runny lotions.
It contains no fragrance but that doesn’t mean it’s completely odorless. I find the scent very mild, if anything I’d describe it as subtly sweet – I don’t perceive at all throughout the day though and it doesn’t interfere with any of my perfumes. The gel absorbs easily leaving no trace of greasiness behind, only a velvety layer over the hands that end up visibly smoother. And the effect lasts throughout multiple washes which is the cherry on top.
You need just a tiny amount for every application and I find the price totally justified. I’d recommend it to everyone!
Edit: Three years later this never ceases to amaze me, have repurchased more than 10 times and there are always tubes in my handbag and bedside. Have no desire to test others as it’s beyond perfection which says much coming from someone that loves trying new products. You simply know when you come across the GOOD stuff.

Fragrance free, it’s absorbs quick, no parabens and is great for chapped hands. I keep 1 in the car and 1 next to my bed

I’m not a fan of hand creams generally. I need them, I use them, and I’ve tried plenty. I’ve not really found one that really stood out properly until now:
It doesn’t have a fragrance, it’s very rich but still easy to rub in, sinks in enough within a few minutes. After I use it I can’t stop touching my hands. So soft, and they look totally different- smoother and healthier.
I bought it to help my partner, as he has contact dermatitis that gets quite bad in winter. He only needed to use it a couple of times and the difference is already huge. ..Which is a good thing, as he’s going to get his own tube now, as I’m keeping this one for myself!

This repairing hand cream is a life saver for me. I think.
I suffer from eczema on my hands that will flare up when it gets colder. This year it began early. Red, scaly patches emerged between my fingers and on my wrists. But then I discovered this cream. Consistent use has made the redness and roughness disappear. My skin still has a slightly different texture on the spots where the eczema was, but this is something only I notice.
One thing that I should add: this has been an extremely mild winter, I doubt it has been below freezing point yet. So I have not been able to test this cream in extreme cold and maybe the mild weather has a positive effect on my eczema. Hence the “I think” in the first line of this review.
The product itself has a very thick consistency and is slightly powdery, but very easy to spread. When you don’t over apply, it also sinks into the skin really quick and you can quickly resume your activities. I feel it actually changes the texture of my skin and makes it softer and more subtle. I mainly notice this in the fact when I submerge my hands in warm water (shower, bath, dishes), I get wrinkly fingers much quicker than before I began using this cream.
There’s a mild scent to this product, but it’s not perfumed or anything, but I’d smell it first if you’re very sensitive to scents.
It’s not exactly cheap (although I bought four tubes for half the price, which was a great deal), but I think that there are quite a number of more expensive hand creams out there, that do not perform half as good. This is just a great, no nonsense product that actually works. Highly recommended for people with eczema or just dry hands from frequent washing (doctors, nurses, cleaning ladies/men).

I like this stuff. It does make hands feel protected – it may be placebo but I do feel that it leaves a protecting “barrier” as promised and makes hands look plumper too, which I desperately need. It sinks fairly easily into skin given its thick texture. One thing that really annoys me about this cream though is that it’s so thick that it’s actually difficult to spread.
