I picked this up hoping for a replacement to my beloved (discontinued) Honeymania Body Butter. The smell intrigued me: very fresh and …juicy…? A bit like biting into a prickly pear, or kiwi fruit.
Sadly, it turns out the smell is a bit too much. I usually love heavily scented things, but this is the fragrance equivalent of sweating fruit juice (albeit artisanal, expensive smelling fruit juice). Almost headache inducing, and a little sweeter than I originally thought.
Also, it is meant for normal-to-dry skin, but I find it underwhelming in the moisturizing department. And I don’t even have dry skin to start with…
The majority of it sinks in quite quickly, but leaves a vaguely waxy sheen on top of your skin.
I find it ideal for summer weekends: after a day in the pool, when you are just sun kissed (burnt) enough to feel a little dry and can pretend you’re vacationing somewhere exotic. Not for much else though…
