Bought this 400ml pump because I wanted to have something pamper-y, aromatherapy-wise on my desk at work. Price is comparable to Aveeno (or cheaper when you get it on sale like I did), and Aveeno body lotions are my usual go-to lotions for hand and body (not face — that’ll be Cerave). Packaging is functional and the pump is ridiculously strong. You don’t want to push it down if you’re only trying to get enough for your hands. Just lean on it slightly or you’ll get WAY too much.
It is true this smells heavenly. Sweet impressions of argan oil (who knows what that actually smells like, but this stuff definitely smells good), and overpowering lavender? Check. Aromatherapy goal achieved (though it really doesn’t need to be THAT intense and long-lasting). I saw the kind of disturbing ingredient list and decided to ignore it since I’m just using it at work, but holy moly if you want your lotions to be more to the natural side, you might want to give this one a miss. That it’s vegan might be friendlier for the planet though I question even that with such a long ingredient list. This is NOT a naturally-oriented lotion, no matter what the marketing on the label makes it sound like.
Most importantly, how does it feel? It is kind of strange to put on. It smears on thick and you almost think it’s not going to absorb at all, but then it does, with constant rubbing. It dries slightly tacky/sticky, but that disappears after a moment or two. To be fair, I’ve never felt particularly dry after using it, and the weird texture does dissipate. It’s just not so pamper-y, texture-wise, as I’d hoped.
