Arabian Sandalwood – Woody, mellow and smooth with just a touch of sweet coconut and vanilla. Highly charismatic and irresistible on your sun-warmed skin.
I love a good sandalwood. This is not one of them. I don’t smell any vanilla or coconut. The first hour it is a scrubber for me. Woody, smoky, incense, everything I hate. After an hour or so, it is bearable and I do smell some sandalwood, but not in a particularly good way. This is more of a men’s fragrance, not one I would ever wear.

I feel in love with the fragrance of this while shopping one day, the store had a tester and I knew I had to have it. This really smells like a nice perfume and not like a lotion one would find a natural food store. This has a warm, oriental, almost earthy character to it. If you like soft, light, sweet, or floral fragrance this probably isn’t the best choice, but if you are a fan of old school, heavy (in a good way) scents this is worth a sniff. The moisturizing properties of the lotions are moderate, it wont rescue parched very dry skin, but will be just fine if you have skin that is oily to normal. Despite the amount of fragrance which I oh so adore, this didn’t exacerbate my eczema. A bit pricey at $9-10 USD for a smallish bottle, packaging is average, but this isn’t a high end product so it’s to be expected. I wish they made this in a body wash. I would repurchase

The short version: I love this!!!
My “nose” has changed quite a bit in recent years… I used to love white floral fragrances and now I lean towards richer, spicier scents. Amber is a particular favorite note. I love both the Amber Paste and the Amber and Sandalwood from Kuumba Made. Both are a great value!
The Amber and Sandalwood is a spicy oriental type scent – similar to YSL Opium, though it’s not a dupe. But if you’re a fan of that, or fragrances like it, this is one to try. On me, it has a powdery note that I like but some people might find Old Lady-ish. (Many classic fragrances like Opium, Shalimar, and Chanel No. 5 also have this note on me). It’s also subtly spicy and vaguely sweet though not in a candy-like way – more like faint vanilla with a bit of sawdust. The “sawdust” would be the sandalwood coming through. Somehow this does not translate as masculine though. It more grounds the spicy, powdery Amber. This balance of complimentary smells gives it the sexy yet cuddly aroma others have spoke of. And that is what makes it truly feminine.
Sillage is pretty close to the skin but lasts for 4-5 hours before I feel the need to reapply. The powdery note makes it work appropriate (I DON’T pour it on!) but the spiciness makes it sexy date night worthy.
All in all, one of the most sophisticated scents by Kuumba Made and that’s what makes it one of my favorites!!!

This is sweet and feminine. Starts of citrussy with a cola note which fades and is so unlike what i expected!! I thought this will be heavy, rich and woody. In contrast it is soft and remains close to the skin, very cozy and cuddly type of scent.

I’m a huge sandalwood fan but kind of in the middle where amber is concerned. It can become heavy and syrupy to the point where I just have to scrub it off. This is as full-bodied as I’ve come to expect from Kuumba Made, yet it’s not too heavy. I agree with other reviewers that it’s very feminine in spite of the sandalwood. Almost voluptuous, but never in a tacky, overt kind of way. Doesn’t change much on the skin, but it’s fairly mellow to begin with. A tiny dab’ll do ya, so take care applying!

I have to agree. This one’s really good. I’m not the biggest Amber fan but I love Sandlewood so I thought I would give this a try. Very warm and feminine. Love it!

I was so excited to try this one – being a lover of sandalwood that still hasn’t found *thee* perfect sandalwood scent for myself. The minute I tried it I knew this wasn’t it. It’s nice, but a little too… I don’t know. It has a sort of a scent like mildewing wood. It smells almost exactly like DSH’s Sensual Sandalwood, which I also thought was *the one*. But nah, I wouldn’t be able to stand this for more than a day or so. However, I do understand why people love it so.

I am in absolute love with this fragrance! It’s really cheap (7.99 a dram) and comes in a little roller ball bottle so it doesn’t spill. It’s very strong and lasts all day (because it’s an oil). AND it doesn’t bother my husbands allergies because it isn’t a spray. I will definately repurchase, but I won’t need to for a long time since a tiny bit goes a long way!
The scent itself is a nice, warm sandalwood- the amber balances the woodiness nicely. I can’t stop sniffing myself when I wear it! I tried it on in the store, and had to go back the next day to purchase. I look forward to trying some of their other scents.
LOVE!

Beautiful – this is feminine sandalwood. If you love sandalwood but think it often feels too masculine on it’s own, give this a try. I agree with Rivercat that this is somehow sexy & exotic and comforting at the same time. I got a 1-dram bottle for $7.99 at Wild Oats Market. It’s very concentrated – I only use a drop or two at a time.

Wow! Warm, sweet, spicy and just a tiny bit smoky. Exotic and sexy, yet comforting at the same time, like cuddling after making love. Very, very nice, and layers wonderfully with lotions and other oils.
