I don’t really need to set my foundation since I go for a fresh, dewy, hydrated look, but I do need to set my under-eye concealer with a powder to prevent mascara smudges. My friend was gracious enough to gift this to me (it’s such a treat, getting gifted a cult beauty product) so I have no comment on price. In the mirror and on first application, it does look dry, but this powder looks FABULOUS on camera and after the day has worn on and the dry, powdery-ness has melted into the skin. There is this peach fuzz sort of effused glow with this on, so I do like it. I’ve seen better application with a powder puff vs. a powder brush.

I have used up around 4 of these, and every time I finish one I hesitate on repurchasing because of the $$.
It’s just a translucent loose powder, why do I always gravitate back towards this particular one? I think I know now. LM’s formula works with my skin no matter what condition it’s in + no matter what foundation/base I have on. In my natural state I have combo/oily acne prone skin but I’ve gone through severely dry flaky skin due to Accutane and other prescribed topicals, I’ve over-exfoliated and caused sensitive peeling skin, I’ve been through it all really. The one constant that has never failed me is this powder. It never irritates my skin, it sets my makeup beautifully for the day and I also like it on a bare face bc it controls the oils and blurs my pores. It works for baking, it works to brighten up that area underneath contour, it works as a light application all over, it just works.
Nothing else has compared and I think it’s about time that my wallet commits to a lifelong relationship with LM loose translucent setting powder lol
P.S one tub of this lasts forever. It comes with a lot of product (around 30 grams) so I am super thankful for that

Supposedly the best of the best, so I guess all powders just suck? I don’t feel that it blurred at all, it looked a bit dry, andddd the RCMA powder looks better. What an underwhelming product. I mean it’s a translucent powder so I wouldn’t go in expecting much in the first place, but this looks the same to me as the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder, which I was also underwhelmed by but at least it wasn’t 30+ dollars.

I think this powder is above average, but for the price, it better be. I’m not usually a fan of loose powder (so messy!) but I’m suffering with this one until I use it up. I have the miniature size and while I really hate the sifter jar the powder itself is nice. I apply a pretty light dusting with a fluffy powder brush 2x/day to mitigate shine (once right after foundation and again at lunchtime), and it never looks cakey or overdone. My skin is normal but I do get shine in my T-zone and this powder takes care of it nicely and doesn’t leave a heavy or dry look — just a very natural finish. I haven’t had any skin issues with this powder. I wouldn’t buy it again but that’s only because I find loose powder to be so dang messy and annoying. If you’re into loose powder, this is a good one to try.

With my very oily skin, this is the best loose powder I’ve tried! It’s my 3rd purchased now!
I only used it on after liquid foundation, with my Real Technique sponge used dry.
Based my experience, brush vs sponge, sponge give you a more even coating. It will give you a Matt powder look, I do not like a Matt look, so I finished off with MAC fix plus.
I work in a air-con environment, 11 hours later I will have some slight oil, I will pat it with a tissue paper. And it will last till I removed my makeup.
Only thing I would change is the packaging, it sometimes can be too messy because I can’t control how much powder flows out!

I have extremely sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. After using this for 2 weeks, my forehead is covered in small little bumps. I finally connected the dots after using this product for 2 weeks. Since discontinuing, my face is starting to clear, but the small bumps are persistent. If you have a similar skin type as I do, I wouldn’t recommend this product. I will go back to using the Makeup Forever setting powder.

This is a great powder. I have the GLOW version. I love how fine the powder is, and I find it very flexible to work with. Agreed it can sometimes look cakey if I over do it, but then I found that a bigger, fluffier brush will diffuse the product better and give a finer veil over foundation.
I also found that to get a really wonderful blend for me, I stipple a layer on my fresh foundation first, and then take a very small amount on the brush again and blend all in with that afterwards. I find that it doesn’t sink into my lines around my eyes which is great, and stays in place longer than other powders.

Biting the bullet with this one and finally got myself one to try! I was debating between the pressed or loose powder but the SA at Sephora said they’re really entirely different so i got the travel sized one to try. Personally, a loose powder is not something I’d bring around with me so I thought the compact would suit me better. However, I was amazed that this itty bitty layer of fine powder actually set my CC Cream and made it lasts much longer throughout the day. Im not sure how the packaging can be improved because it is a powder, but this is just me thinking, how nice would it be if they came up with some sort of automatic brush applicator where product could just come out without having to dip a separate brush into a pot …. that would be neat!

I watched Goss Makeup Artist’s video on why foundation may oxidize on your face, and one of the possible culprits could be, a coloured loose/setting powder. He carried on about how he always chooses to use a colourless white setting powder instead. I was having problems with my foundation becoming orange, so I bought LM’s white setting powder. Good news! It really worked and my foundation didn’t change oxidize at all.
BUT
IT MADE MY FACE CAKEY AND I HAD A POWDERED LOOK. :'( Also, this powder clung on to the dry patches of my face and settled into my fine lines. Sigh, wanted to love this but I couldn’t.

I bought the travel size with the puff. Looks dry caked make up face, it didn’t matter how lightly I tried to apply or what I put it over. Bonus it broke me out! At 58 I don’t get zits very often and I know it was this product as I try products singularly to see if it will irritate my skin. This was in the drawer for a while, every time I forgot and tried it again, breakout. Gave to a friend at work who loves this brand. At least I was only out $10, I guess this is best on much younger skin.
