This is too thick of my liking, gets gluggy looking when more than one layer is used. I’m after something that provides moderate coverage, is smooth, lasts and I can layer. It gets too patchy by midday so I won’t repurchase. I’m using Shieseido’s Sheer Powder foundation and its much better. I recommend if you are curious, just try the refill since no point in paying for compact if you don’t like it. I also prefer Benefit’s Hello Flawless. This has tiny shimmer particles as well and I prefer something without.

In Canada, this product is just called “Lightbulb Powder Foundation”, the UV is not advertised. It is really quite pricey, $48+tax for the product pan alone plus another $22+tax for the compact and sponge. However, I have to admit that after trying this product, this became one of my favorite powder foundations (and I have tried almost all of them out there).
The reason I like this product so much is that it provides pretty good coverage but is not cakey, it makes my face look flawless but luminous and natural at the same time. My issue with a lot of powder foundations is they either don’t provide enough coverage or if they do, it looks and feels like a mask. My former go-to powder foundation was MAC studiofix and while I still like that product very much because it covers really well, it does get mask like very fast if not used with a light hand. Lightbulb Powder Foundation is not like that, on my combo skin, it can be used with a heavy hand and layered and still not feel cakey on me.
I really love how finely milled this powder foundation is, and the luminous finish it gives (if you look closely at the compact, you will see a tiny bit of super fine shimmer, it is almost like a tiny bit of highlighter is built into this product which I really love). Another huge pro for me is the shade match. Being Chinese with light C2/NC20ish olivey skin, finding a foundation match is not always easy. 774 Light Beige is a good match for me. This doesn’t cause breakouts for me, doesn’t make my face grease up and is surprisingly long-wearing on my combo skin.
I knocked off a lippie due to the steep price. But otherwise, I am really very happy with this product. I carry it in my handbag all the time for touch-ups and always dust it over any liquid foundation that doesn’t give me enough coverage. I think I have used up and repurchased this 3 or 4 times already. I highly recommend this product for someone looking for a powder foundation that covers well while still looking natural and luminous.

Agree with much of Silurian’s review except I wear as low/med coverage (either apply with brush or for a bit more coverage with sponge and then use brush to buff in), I don’t touch up and haven’t noticed shimmer.
Demi-matte power foundation with finely milled, natural-looking finish. It’s like a blurring tool in a compact. I.e. Minimises my fine lines, opera and evens out my completion. Since it’s Winter and my skin dries out a bit I felt like it was a bit cakey, even with a setting spray (fix+) before I started with the brush but now it’s fine and I’m not using a spray.
This is my no makeup make up when I just want to deshine after my moisririser/facial oil and sunscreen (ultraceuticals spray).
ETA I’m 38, with relatively good normal/combo oily skin. I prefer to see some imperfections rather than obvious looking or feeling foundation.

This is an okay powder foundation….i was using it throughout the winter cause it’s not drying at all…and gives good coverage…..but there are a few things that i don’t like about this powder it that it tends to empasizes the rough skin…..i have some small acne dents on my right cheek from when i had really bad outbreak liked a year ago………..everytime i put this powder on there it makes it look more obvious instead of smooth…..another thing is that it melts off pretty easily…….but do keep in my mind that my skin doesn’t work with anything spf and they all tend to slide off my face after couple of hours…….whenever i accidently touched my face during the day i will see color on my hand which i hate…….i also do not recommend to use this as a touch up powder because it looks heavy even with a light hand…..ever since i bought the MUFE hd pressed powder i have never looked back……..
This has poor coverage and at this price doesnt even minimize pores at the slightest…dun buy it!!

I hate that the powder sticks on with a little piece of tape, and that they don’t provide a sticker with the color # on it.
That being said, I think this is a fantastic powder foundation. It provides enough coverage, isn’t super obvious, and doesn’t melt, clump up or oxidize. When you do a touch up in the afternoon, you still look good. I don’t have the glitter problem that the previous poster has. Maybe there is some glitter bits, but I have never noticed it to be a problem, and I’m also a 30+ yr old woman 😉
I think it looks best when applied with a brush instead of the included sponge, but if you use a brush, a LOT of product flakes off, and you waste a bit. I compromise by using a puff instead.
Tip: the colors they sell normal retail are different from the colors available at DFS Duty-Free.

So close to perfect. This SPF 30, demi-matte power foundation is finely milled and gives a gorgeous, air-brushed, natural-looking finish. The coverage is very buildable and still looks surprisingly natural if applied for full coverage. It covers blemishes very well. I have fairly acne-prone, combination skin and have never experienced a breakout or irritation from this product, and it lasts well on both the drier and oilier parts of my face without caking or melting off. On a hot summer day, I only have to occasionally touch up my nose. It also doesn’t oxidise. My only issue is that in some lighting conditions, there are scattered, tiny glitter/shimmer particles that become visible. Most of the time you can’t see them, but sometimes there’s a bit of an Edward-the-vampire thing happening. On a 20-something this might be cute, but on a 30+ woman it feels a bit…inappropriate. Not really the look I’m going for. Nonetheless, this foundation is otherwise so awesome and gives such a perfect complexion that I continue to wear it daily.
