I was quite hesitant to buy this powder for a couple of reasons. First, the price. Second, i have never found a loose powder i liked other than the By terry hydrating powder for the eyes. Third, i still have an unopened la mer pressed powder. However, after testing it out in store, and considering the price in EU is waaaaayy lower than in the US (especially considering there are alot of promos this summer) I bought it..and I can say this is money well spent. price per gram compared to my la mer…this powder is more reasonable.
I bought the shade Transluscent 2 and it is perfect for my NC30 skin. I bought this with the intention of using it as a powder all over the face after a thin layer of foundation or cc cream but…IT WORKS PERFECTLY UNDER THE EYES as well!!! I can say i love this better than my By Terry now and I am actually thinking of buying the Transluscent 1 just for my undereyes.
I also compared this to the HUDA powder…and the HUDA powder just made my undereyes look sooo dry. The HUDA looks good on cameras and photos for sure, But when you look at yourself in the mirror…its just too dry and flat. But if that is the type of finish you are looking for maybe it will work for you. The La Prairie powder however looks so natural, never dry, adds a bit of coverage, and NEVER accentuates my fine lines and pores.
I highly recommend this powder. And yes, I will buy a second one in T1 just for my undereyes

Holy shit this loose powder is expensive but it is so good!!!! I was intrigued after watching mel.thompson’s review on YOUTUBE and wanted to try it out. Luckily my local Bloomingdales had this item in stock so I swatched Transparent 0 which worked well with my NW10 coloring. I quickly noted that not only did the powder blend nicely it also gave a little bit of coverage as well, so I purchased the powder. I know, I know, I know the price is outrageous however, it also comes with a travel size of the powder which is a nice plus and since only a small amount is needed, I can see this powder lasting a very long time. It does have fragrance, in fact it is heavily fragranced, but I am not bothered by it and actually like it. It is truly finely milled and gives a skin-like finish (for reference other powders I have used were from La Mer, Sisley, Hourglass, CoverFX, Lawless, Huda, STELLAR) and the La Prairie Skin Caviar loose powder is my favorite ever ….. not only does it look natural, gives a little bit of coverage, I also noted that it helps blend fine lines on my forehead.
