HOLY GRAIL! This is an amazing powder that keeps my t-zone completely shine free and flawless looking!!! Better than any primer or powder that I have ever used! It is straight up finely milled silica and that’s it! I put way too much on the first time I used it. A little goes a very long way. Keeps me shine free better than anything else on earth! I can use around eyes and it doesn’t get cakey or crusty. Edit: the packaging is huge (the size doesn’t bother me but the powder gets everywhere if you travel….I mean all over).

This powder is not an exact dupe for the MUFE Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder. But, if your’re looking for a cheaper silica based powder, or a more affordable HD powder than this one is definitely cool to try for sure. It is not as finely milled as the MUFE one, as the MUFE ones does contains a tiny bit more ingredients in it then just silica. Also, the MUFE one gives off more of a totally translucent finish (unless you go in really heavy with it, which is totally not recommended). It does have that signature HD powder smell, because of it’s high silica content, which some people find such to be bearable, and some others may find that they don’t personally care for such. Now, with this powder the packaging is definitely bulky, so it will take up extra space than most powders, if carried in ones purse while on the go. It does come with a puff applicator inside. However, it is not my preferred method of application, as I actually use a brush for application instead. It is very important that you don’t be very heavy handed when applying this powder to your face. I also don’t recommend baking with this powder, as there are powders out there that are a better option to do such with. With silica based powders, less is more, however, if you are left looking very ashy after application that means you’ve definitely used way too much. This product will leave a translucent finish if used sparingly. And, it does a really great job with keeping my makeup in tact basically all day until I remove it at night. However it doesn’t have that same exact type of blurting effect to my face that I get with the MUFE. I do currently own 3 containers of that powder (2 minis and1 large size). It is the best powder I’ve ever used on my face, period. And, I will forever be a devotee of such for as long as I live, but when I want to use a drugstore powder, I do. Because, just like any makeup lover, we do switch up things.
I do live in an area where it is hot and humid almost all year round, and this powder is able to stand up to such very well. Also, I would like to add that if you are someone who has issues with foundations oxidizing on you quite a lot (when your face starts sweating or when your face gets oily), I’d highly recommend ditching those colored finishing powders and using a colorless, translucent setting or finishing powder instead. And, it will put an end to such oxidation issues completely.

When I wear this over L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte liquid foundation, it’s the most amazing thing ever. No oil, all day long. Period. I’ve worn this combo for months with the same results day in and day out. In fact it has significantly helped with any acne and/or texture on my skin that I hesitate to use any other foundation with it. I’ve tried it over other liquid makeup and while it keeps the oil at bay for awhile, it works best with the Pro-Matte liquid. Of course I use a brush to apply and it’s a very finely milled powder so it gets everywhere but I can deal with that because the results are so great. Definitely repurchasing and would recommend for anyone battling oily skin.

I try a lot of translucent powders, one reason being that I like to find “the one”, something that is long lasting, not too matte, cheap, and white.
PROS: Unlike some other pale/”translucent” powders, this one is actually white, no tint of any kind. I find it gives a nice finish to the skin, not really into matte powders or anything, I more wear them to slow down the eventual shine from my foundation or emollient products that can melt or seep into my eyes (like sunscreen on eyelids). I love this powder on top of Neutrogena’s Clear Face sunscreen (nothing else, just bare skin). It blends really well and never looks too matte or cakey. I’ve been using this combo for a while, but I always like translucent powder used on bare skin or very light coverage products.
CONS: I really hate the packaging, it makes it look like you get a lot more and it just seems so wasteful or like it’s trying ot pull one on you. It comes in this box, and then the product has this big lid and shape and everything, but in the end, you only get 0.28oz… it’s not a horrible amount but it seems misleading. The included puff also seems… Well it is perfectly usable and I do use it all the time with the powder, but the powder doesn’t go into it, it just sits on the surface of it. It is also a white puff, which is silly when you’re using a white powder. And that huge “lid” you put on it. Why can’t it just come in a plain sifter or just a plain jar? Oh right, that is not luxe.
OTHER: I think a reason this works so well is because of how finely milled it is… you have no idea. This stuff does not create a mess that you’d expect a powder would, it’s so light that it simply floats into the air or you breathe it in.
