I am very surprised at how well this works. I usually don’t enjoy Elf powder products, but this worked for me. I have been searching high and low for an affordable setting powder to replace a mid-range powder product I had. This stuff is finely milled. Like float through the air fine! I use it mostly on my t-zone and under my eyes. I have dry skin so I’m super picky about powders and I expect a lot from them. This definitely lived up to my expectations. It didn’t make my under eye look dry and crepey. I’m in my 30s so makeup is starting to accentuate some fine lines around the eyes. This powder doesn’t necessarily “blur” them away, but it doesn’t make them stand out either. I also appreciate that it doesn’t bring out my pores, especially around the nose. Nor does it stick to dry spots and make them look worse like powders tend to do. There is no mistake about the shimmer in this powder. It illuminates and does not hide. If you look super close in the mirror you can see the tiny glitter. However, at a normal distance for human interaction, you do not see the “glitter”, just a bit of luminance. I wouldn’t call this translucent powder. It does have a slight flesh color to it, but it doesn’t show my skin or leave a ghostly cast. I am not sure if this would work for deeper skin tones though. It works well with my setting spray and doesn’t make my face look dry or rough at the end of the day. Overall, I’m pleased with this powder. Especially at such a low price.

This is my go-to setting powder. I tried the original (colorless) formula and I liked it, but I prefer this one, since it looks more natural on the face. It has a slightly peachy/pink tint and some very fine shimmery particles that you can see when you look at the powder in the jar, but on the skin it doesn’t really show up at all (at least on my very fair skin.) Recently ELF changed the packaging, and now you can control how much comes out of the sifter, and I appreciate that. I think I have gone through about five or six of these since I discovered it, and I will keep on buying it until ELF discontinues it.

I wanted to like the product because I have The translucent one & went with this one since they didn’t have their translucent powder which I liked a lot and I was hoping the formula & effect would be the same but it wasn’t!. Hated it! The glitter is awful & I think it’s more for fair toned ppl. It does make my skin look soft but it’s not practical cause it doesn’t hold up for long. Maybe cause I have combination oily skin. I’m medium tan & the light soft pink with shimmer wasn’t working for me. In addition, the packaging makes the powder get every where.

I wanted to like this, I really did. But it has glitter flecks in it. NOT what I want in loose powder. I prefer a glow. However I mixed a tiny bit of this into my HD powder and it added a nice effect. But I tossed most of it. Skip this and buy the Illuminating palette

This is a fantastic powder. The name says it all. It blurs fine lines and pores and makes skin look and feel insanely soft. On days I don’t wear foundation or concealed, I use this powder and it makes my skin look perfect. The only complaint I’ve got is the messy packaging. The lid doesn’t like to close all the way without a fight, so powder escapes when I don’t want it to. It’s a minor complaint. I hope E.L.F. never discontinues this!

I’m a little confused by my experience with this in comparison to the other reviews. On me, it was quite glittery. I could even see the individual flecks of sparkle.
As there’s no way I could use this on my face, I tried applying a bit on my upper chest and shoulder area to see if it might be useful to use as a sort of highlighter there. But nope, it still screamed glitter at me.
Maybe it was the lighting, or a bad batch, or maybe something about my skin tone, but I’m sad to say this was a total disappoint for me.

Picked this up when I ran out of my Laura Mercier loose powder as the $38 price was starting to be a bit much. This is a very pale pink powder with a very subtle glow/luminosity. E.L.F. seems to mill their powders very finely, this is on par w/ MU Forever’s HD powder in terms of consistency. Doesn’t add an sparkle or glitter, just a nice glow to the face. Comes in a square, black “jar” has a screen in it so the powder doesn’t come out all at once, but it is a fine powder and will kick up dust when applied. I use a big fluffy brush to dust this over my foundation (IT CC Cream w/ Illumination). I don’t experience any irritation, dryness or clogging of pores with this product.
Runs approx. $6 a jar in Target, Wal-Mart, etc.

This is my hg powder! I use this with a mixture of foundation and moisturizer, and I apply this with my Ecotools angled kabuki brush or with a damp beauty blender. I actually purchased this by accident, I was trying to get the translucent powder, but this powder really does add luminescence! I originally applied it with a Sonia kashuk powder brush, but that one was falling to pieces and I started using it with the little puff that comes in the container. At that time, I was using it with Maybelline Fit me matte and poreless, which was terrible, and the powder made it worse, so I just stopped using the powder and moved on to a L’Oreal one. But then I found my current foundation and kabuki brush, and I was really happy, because when I use my foundation moisturizer mixture with this powder, I get this glowy, dewy complexion which is really nice for such a cheap price! I will definitely repurchase.
