I do not understand the love for this foundation. I purchased it based on the stellar reviews but I find it dry and hard to blend. Not flattering.

Best foundation tried out so far. Natural coverage, easy to blend, a little goes a long way. Great product (also for senditive skin) and the price is very affordable.

Ohh boy..I finally found it! I found my holy grail foundation! Yey! I tried almost everything..from drugstores to high ends! I had Chanel, Dior, Nars, Estee Lauder, Lancome /air de teint is pretty good/, Armani, MAC, MUFE and BB creams, etc..every high ends foundations are so expensive and some of these are ok, but ok is not good enough for me..I wanted to something special for that price! My last foundation was Nars sheer glow..Lady in Sephora put it on to my face and I was like YEY that is it! Such nice finish! So I bought it..when I got home i looked in the mirror and I was horrified..Sheer glow? It’s not glowy at all..looks very matte and clings to dry patches! OMG, I was so said! I wanted to something light, something glowy and nice.. What now? It must exist! So I´ve decided to search the internet properly! And I found Guerlain..I never tried it before..The most of the reviews of every each products from Guerlain were positive…so I chose Terracota Joli Teint..I must say that this is the best foundation I have ever tried! I use my fingers to application..I have combo skin and it lasts all day, it’s not matte but isn’t glowy too..no streaking or patchiness, does not settle into pores or fine lines..this foundation does not feel heavy at all on the face, feeling very lightweight It’s your skin but better..I can not explain in words what Terracota Joli Teint do in my skin…it’s just perfect! It is pricey, but definetely worth it! I will definitely buy this again.
UPDATE***** I had high hopes for this foundation but after using this for two months I was sorely disappointed. This foundation settles into every fine line you may have and sits on top of the skin, rather than “melting” into it. It gives you a cakey look and others can definitely tell that you are wearing foundation! I´m sad again sooo my hunting for hoily grail FND continues…..
I would much rather choose a foundation that gives a “my skin but better” look as opposed to a mask like look.
Would not repurchase and would not recommend. I hate that I even wasted my money on this product.
For reference: I’m around NC20-25 and I wear Terracota Joli Teint in light/clear, NARS Deauville, Chanel vitalumiere in 20 beige, Armani lasting silk 4, Lancome air de teint in 01 beige albatre, Estee Lauder in 1w2 sand or 2w1 dawn, MAC face and body C2

This is my everyday face base makeup. I love the packaging, first off. But I also love how much coverage this provides (med.-full) upon first layer. It’s not thick and heavy, so it’s perfect for warm climates as well. It does warm up the face. I have med.- tan Asian skin, and I use
1 part light to 1/2 part med. and it covers up most of my unevenness. I have pretty bad melasma, but this cover them up nicely. I use concealer on the very dark patches and it’s perfect. I powder and this lasts all day (8-10 hrs). I wish there was a perfect skin color match, but it’s so wonderful, that I don’t mind buying two colors. I can adjust throughout the year and am very happy with it! Highly recommend.

This is my favorite everyday medium coverage foundation. I love the way it glides smoothly on my skin and the fresh glowing look it creates on my skin. I am Nc40 and the color I am using here called MEDIUM which is a perfect match! Not too yellow not too pink and really warms up my complexion like a delicate tan in a natural way. It’s SPF 20 which is enough for me for everyday. So if you like: medium coverage, nice warm color and great texture with protection that’s the one!

Why did I wait so long to try Guerlain foundations? They are exceptional. I’m in my mid-40s with combination skin that is quite oily in the t-zone but tends to look dehydrated. I also have large pores, pigmentation and broken capillaries which makes wearing foundation a must. I hate the feeling of foundation sitting on my skin but need something that has coverage. I have tried so many foundations that are almost right, but nothing has managed to tick every box like this foundation and Lingerie de Peau. The coverage is outstanding, but it doesn’t feel thick once it’s set. It covers 95% of my issues and I only require a small amount of concealer around my noise and on a very dark melasma spot on my upper cheek. Impressive. This foundation seems to warm my skin up, which is key. My face is always quite a bit lighter than my body and foundations can really look quite pale and cool on my face. I have the shade “Natural” and it just just a hint of warmth that really makes a huge difference in my complexion. It stays on all day with some minimal blotting in my t-zone. It doesn’t settle in my fine lines or pores and doesn’t suck all the moisture out of my skin. It really is perfect. Here’s to hoping they never discontinue this!!

Good foundation in many aspects, non sticky, long-wear in summer like 80F, pleasant gardenia smell (it’s really strong but not irritating.) medium coverage with a satin and even finish.
The only drawback through could be the color. I’m NC30-35 and picked neutral. The color is orangy and looks somehow fake on my skin. I prefer use it in summer when look for some tan. Not sure about other colors in the range if they are all orangy, but for this reason alone I’ll probably not repurchase.

I wish I gave into temptation/curiosity sooner because this foundation is perfect all the way around for my NC45 skintone. Despite it being a light coverage foundation it does a great job at giving me a nice luminous glow. It contains zero shimmer particles but it brightens up my skin. My skin doesn’t look flat with this foundation. Intially first application my skin looked a reddish orange but after a few minutes it diminished. I don’t even set with with any powder. I just apply Guerlain’s Terracotta bronzer in key areas of my face and then go in with my Guerlain Meteorites (2014 LE Holiday to be exact) for an all over application and call it a day. It survives hot humid FL without any issue and actually looks better thru the course of the day. Its pricey but well worth it because it looks so beautiful on the skin. I will definitely repurchase and I hope its never discontinued or formula tweaked. For reference I picked up the shade “ebony”.

Great stuff. Natural finish and packaging is tops! Evens out skin tone beAutifully and lasts. Good spf too!

The formula is great. It lasted 8 hours for me (in the office). The problem is I couldn’t find the colour that works for me. I tried Natural which technically should be my colour, but it turned out to be too dark. The next colour is Light which would be too light (I’m NW25).
It also created a grey cast on my face when photographed. It is unfortunate because I really like the formula. If it has the colour that works for me, I would be all over it!
