I’ve bought this foundation based on great reviews here. It doesn’t work for me.
Shade 23 is way too light for my medium shade caucasian skin. I’d love it to be two shades darker. I couldn’t find it darker but still wanted to give this product to try. I’ve started using it while living in Hong Kong, the climate is very humid there. It worked fine, I was applying very fine layer. But after I moved to dry Californian climate this foundation became nearly impossible to apply. It didn’t got old, I got it only a month before moving…
Pros:
– works great for combination to oily skin. perfect to eliminate forehead shine
– works great in humid climate
Cons:
– shades are too fair and very greyish
– doesn’t work in dry climate. become patchy

I’ve got really fair skin, so brands like Revlon and other drug store brands don’t have a foundation that matches my skin tone. It’s either too dark or orangy, making me look like an Oompa Loompa. And… *drum rolls* Laneige makes foundation in the shade vampire, so I decided to try it. Lol! I’m on my 3rd bottle now and yes, it works for my dry-ish skin. Doesn’t settle into fine lines, sheer to medium coverage doesn’t look cake when a 2nd layer is applied. Most importantly, this does not break me out or causes any sensitivity. It’s a winner!

This product is good, easy to apply quite moisturize , the color is good as well. This is my third bottle now!:)

I have this in 23 Sand Beige. Again this is a perfect shade for me. I love Laneige foundations in general for the perfect shades they have, and their nice flawless finish.
I generally have good skin with minmal problems, so when I use foundations its hard to tell if the foundation is good, or is my skin that putting up with it (trust me my skin is like a armour shield, nothing will break it) With this foundation, I didnt experience dryness, oily T-zones or anything else. It just gave me a nice flawless finish for about 6 hours or soo.
Love the Laneige packaging, super nice, and this foundation doesn’t have bad scent like the Smashbox does.

For reference, my shade is NC25, I have oily combination skin (oily t-zone and fairly dry to normal cheeks), I am asian and therefore I have olive and yellow undertones which doesn’t always work with all foundations…
Therefore, after extensive research on various blogs and hours and hours of scrutinous studying on MUA, I felt it was best to go along with an asian product as would be appropriate because..well.. I’m asian. I purchased the 21 Natural Beige shade and I’m happy with this. It has a dewy finish, disappears effectively into my skin, and recently I found out that it photographs extremely well. Bear in mind that I prefer to look pale rather than tanned (just because I feel I don’t look as polished when I have a tan). I took a picture and my skin came out looking flawless and porcelain. However, if you’re looking for medium-full coverage, this is not it. It’s effective for covering small blemishes and uneven coloring, but that’s about it.
I don’t set it with powder just because I’m lazy and partly, I’m not sure what it would do to my coloring because I have some EDM samples lying around… and I don’t want the color combinations to be off… I’m not too adept at knowing what color will cancel out the other and yea… I have an enormous amount of respect for those of you who do know how to do this.
But I digress. Setting it with powder would be best, as I did notice the oil beginning to surface as the day progressed. Not a big deal, but I have a very observant boyfriend who notices if I have grossly greasy and uneven skin. This wouldn’t be as much of a problem with general friends or acquaintances as they normally aren’t close enough to your face to perceive all this.
I’m also impressed by the packaging. It’s a very sanitary pump, and one pump is enough to cover the face and some parts of the neck if you prefer.
All in all, I’m happy with the product. It’s around $29 before tax but rather difficult to find. Many non-distinct korean boutiques even in Koreatown didn’t carry laneige.

I have this in Natural Beige 21 and it matches my NC 30-35 skin tone. Gives medium coverage with a dewey finish. Usually I have to set it with powder otherwise it looks too shiny; I also tend to get oily as the day goes on. Still, it’s a very pretty finish, and if my skin were better, I’m certain I would have no complaints! The texture is rather thick, but it comes in a nice sleek plastic bottle with a pump so you can control the amount you get. I apply with a skunk brush to get the best finish. On a lazy day I tried it with a sponge and it came out decent, but I don’t think the finish was as smooth. The color match is great, it feels very light, there’s a faint but pleasant scent, and it makes my skin look great in photos. Can’t say how much it cost, as my sister gave it to me, but you can find it in Korean supermarkets with beauty counters, like H-Mart.

This is by far my most favoured foundation. It gives a dewy finish and has medium+ coverage. On a regular basis I wash, tone , mositurize and then apply foundation. One of the things I love about laneige is the scent. This product is easy to spread and I love the packaging.

Your need a base with this foundation be it a moisturiser or another SPF if you are anal about just SPF 26.
I find that if i let my moisturiser dry/set in a little, it helps with the spreadability of the foundation. If you have just used a prescribed 1 teaspoon of SPF and or moisturiser under this – it will be very hard to blend & pastey.
Other that blending teething problems i had, this foundation survived 4 hr including the last hr cooking in the hot kitchen. Trick is to set it with loose powder (i usually am too lazy to do this) & after 4 hrs, its still nice & sort of matte like over my Estee’s Idealist & Clinique’s dramatically different moisturising Gel. I went to bath at around 3pm after that as i could not stand the humidity in Asia & this time i didnt set the foundaiton with loose powder, By 7pm traces of shine started & by 10pm, The foundation is still there but shine on the T Zone was present & quite visible.
shade 13 True Beige was suitable for my Dior 020 lite beige tone.
This is SGD $45 vs my existing Extreme Fit from CD $63, -This Laneige foundation is an acceptable alternative to my Extreme Fit, Its more sheer though & not as matte but this can be fixed but working hard to use loose powder instead. I was looking for a more moisturising foundation though & the additional SPF is welcomed.
The leaflet says:-
UV protecting moisturising foundation giving sleek and soft skin lookwith veil covering effect.
Oil free UV protecting foundation giving the sleek & fresh looks with a veil covering effect.
I will go find out what this veil covering effect is. I think the Veil is a dewy look effect? & The foundation goes on well without much moisturiser or makeup base with a wedge – thank goodness i was spring cleaning & found my wedge sponges – really good tool when the foundation is too dry to blend in with your fingers.
