Shockingly negative. I am older than the target audience for this item however long as I wanted it to it does not service my skin. I use the primer, foundation as well as powder and it immediately separates on my nose regardless of what I do. It works out right into my pores and also ends up being patchy after a number of hours. It is costly however I can live with that if it functioned, this is just one of the most awful foundations I have actually ever before made use of.

My HG foundation.
Background: Dry to regular skin. Neutral touch. Mild acne on chin. Trying to find all-natural do with good insurance coverage.
Various other structures possessed: Chanel Aqua, Perfection, Armani Maestro, Kosas Skin tint.
This foundation has actually managed to knock all others out of the park. Chanel Aqua Vitalumiere used to me my # 1, and then I located this. The protection is wonderful, not also fresh or matte. It’s simply great skin in a bottle.
I squirt 1 pump onto the rear of my hand and afterwards utilize either a charm blender or food processor or a thick rubbing brush to mix it in. Takes place soooo efficiently as well as leaves me radiant in simply the best areas. I hardly require highlighter with this. Likewise, it actually does look far better as the day goes on.
My chin is the driest area and also I have actually never ever had issues with this revealing completely dry spots. One pump does not cover every little thing however I make use of a little concealer for certain areas which is great for me.
I have not been a large fan of Pats things, like the mascara which was a big flop for me, but this I will 100% rebuy over and over again.

Shockingly bad. I am older than the target market for this product but much as I wanted it to it does not work on my skin. I use the primer, foundation and powder and it immediately separates on my nose no matter what I do. It settles into my pores and becomes patchy after a couple of hours. It is expensive but I could live with that if it worked, this is one of the worst foundations I have ever used.

I got a sample of this before purchasing. It’s insanely over priced , however I’m very happy with the results. It’s a medium to sheer lightweight foundation. I have combination to dry skin, so I was a little worried about the alcohol listed in the ingredients. Surprisingly it doesn’t dry my skin out , it actually feels silky. Of all the foundations I’ve ever tried , this one looks the most natural. I set it with Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder. I get a good six hours before having to powder again. Three pumps is usually all I need to cover my face. I definitely will repurchase when I finish this bottle.

My HG foundation.
Background: Dry to normal skin. Neutral undertone. Mild acne on chin. Looking for natural finish with good coverage.
Other foundations owned: Chanel Aqua, Perfection, Armani Maestro, Kosas Skin tint.
This foundation has managed to knock all others out of the park. Chanel Aqua Vitalumiere used to me my #1, and then I found this. The coverage is lovely, not too dewy or matte. It’s just good skin in a bottle.
I squirt 1 pump onto the back of my hand and then use either a beauty blender or a dense buffing brush to blend it in. Goes on soooo smoothly and leaves me glowing in just the right areas. I barely need highlighter with this. Also, it really does look better as the day goes on.
My chin is the driest area and I’ve never had issues with this showing dry patches. One pump doesn’t cover everything but I use a little concealer for certain areas which is fine for me.
I haven’t been a big fan of Pats stuff, like the mascara which was a big flop for me, but this I will 100% rebuy time and time again.

My skin is on the dry side so I was looking forward trying this foundation..I bought it with the 20% off sephora, still I find it overpriced for what it is,,,it is a liquid foundation that goes on easy, it really blends in nicely with the skin..now my issue is that it is very skin like, So it feels like I have nothing on..especially after a few hours..I don’t notice it improves my skin that much..in the end, I thought of sending it back..I feel the Bobbi Brown skin foundation is more hydrating and improves the look of my skin more..and for less money…so although this isn’t a bad foundation, it covers very little..and it isn’t honestly worth the high price tag…for that price I expected my skin would look so much nicer..overrated, overpriced..

I have mature and textured skin but it is normal to oily with no dry patches. and I love this foundation. I have applied it with both with a brush and a damp sponge. The coverage was light to medium but it evened out the redness in my cheeks and provided a skin like finish. It did not need setting with powder. I did need to blot it later in the day because I was a bit shiny but I need to do that with most foundations.

I felt I had to add this because I am older and have “mature” skin with occasional dry patches, and I love this. I bought the whole system, and it looks really nice on me–natural and healthy. I have received compliments on my skin wearing this (NB I have good skin to begin with). It doesn’t settle into lines or dry patches, or emphasize my pores as it did for some others. I don’t think I’d rebuy the powder (though it looks good) because it’s ridiculously expensive and the Koh Gen Do Luminous powder works at least as well. But I really liked the foundation and the primer worked with it for me. My only problem was finding the right color. I originally bought Light 7, but it turns out that Medium Light 10 is a perfect match.

Sadly I have to agree with most other reviewers’ assessment, this foundation is definitely not friendly for “mature” skin or really any skin that has a lot of texture or large pores. The first time I tested this foundation I applied to lightly moisturized skin, and it made my pores really stand out, quite the opposite of what you want in a foundation! I tried it again a second time with a primer underneath, and while the effect was slightly less noticeable, it still didn’t look as even or polished as I’d hoped. The bottle is luxe of course, but can’t save an underperforming product. I also note that the colors seem to run slightly yellow. I selected a shade that was supposed to be “neutral” with slight peach undertones, and it clearly had a yellow tint to it, much more so than the online swatch. So if you’re interested in this foundation, and have a store nearby to try it, I’d definitely suggest testing it out in person.

This is a beautiful foundation, but NOT for dry or mature skin.
It’s just too dry on the skin during application, I used smashbox oil primer…so moisture will not help.
I tried it with tatcha, VDL,and hourglass #28 to no avail.
I’ve see this on younger normal to oily skin and it’s lovely…
It depends on your skin type…

So disappointed in this. I tried the entire system. It starts off with a nice finish but separates and accentuates every line. I expected much better from Pat and at this steep price.

Received a generous sample from Sephora. Color I picked was off, so won’t hold that against it. Hard to work with, on me, not self setting, stayed sticky/tacky for too long…and worst of all, settled into every line and pore. I’m old as it is, and this ages me more. I don’t even want to try a different shade – especially for $68. Nope. Nada. No.
