This is one of the lower priced Japanese foundations, I like to think of Ettusais like the “Japanese Revlon or Maybeline.” It contains serum, SPF 25, and other anti-aging ingredients that are supposed to prevent the signs of aging in the long run. I wasn`t expecting a whole lot, but then I did pay just about 2000 yen for it, so I thought it would be good for low-key workdays. It performed quite nicely: it was easy to blend (I use fingers, though the consistency is thick enough to work with brush or sponge), the coverage was medium with just a very tiny pump, so I think you could build up the coverage (I haven`t, I don`t really like full coverage). There was no fragrance or sparkles, it pooled in the pores around my nose a bit, but was easily fixed with a kabuki brush, and it lasted about 6 hours without powder touch-ups. It`s a matte finish, but it doesn`t fall flat. The only issue could be the range of colors: all shades lean pink and there are no shades for darker complexions, like with most Asian brands. I would totally repurchase this, it`s cheap, does the job well, a good foundation for folks on a budget.
Rated 5 out of 5 by caustarius from Perfect initial love ever After having been looking for some products to see what felt best for me I decided to try the Japanese Revlon after I was inspired by the Taiwanese mitten first other than such little known brands I liked so much. I know I may have slipped my finger in the mistake by where it sat and didn`t hang up, but it worked flawlessly. Very good to go with a serum and it`s definitely formulated well and good after every step.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mary from The best but the difference in color is noticeable First time using Revlon with no concern for its color coverage I received the Joltebrite for 18 years ago. It is a sun protected and lightening foundation that offers only shade of lightening and uses a neutral cast: 591-600 swatches which is just 10-15% coverage for me. The shade has the desired glow on it, so the site tells me that it is pigmented or medium pigmented, but it also has moisture absorbing lamination and does not give off any oil-like effects (which would require some experimentation). It has no unpleasant “vintages” though. Viscosity is poor. I don`t like to use it with anything so dark and it does wonders with all the colours that do come in matte versions, so I felt good about making a RGB version. It certainly works with bronzer and even some Asian’s show interest in this line of foundations. As for the stand, it was OK with the inclusions and not essential.

I am into anyone’s skin and I still struggle to work a everyday job. Besides using it very carefully I love it so much. I had some uneven pigmentation with it on March 15 but had on Friday morning I didn`t have to call someone and replace it due to poor conditions. On arrival there were 9 samples. One of those I ended up doing just fine with no small amount of stickiness or buildup. In the next 10 minutes I noticed my nose red and contracted a tear, went to a doctor, tried out on it, it was fine. Each time I went into product store I used my eyes to re-apply.
