I think this has replaced my GA LSF and the best part? Nearly $30 cheaper!
My skin is pretty dry with some oily parts on my nose; I used to be combination but I’m getting older, and drier. Without moisturizer and primer the GA highlights every. Single. Fine. Line. With this I need very little and the finish is like nothing I’ve used before- it’s like a filter in a bottle. My skin looks flawless ( it isn’t) and my rosacea is undetectable. More pros and cons:
I like that it comes in pump form; the other MN foundation I’d used in the past didn’t have that option. It boasts an SPF 25, yet will NOT flash back in photos ( tried and tested.) You have the option to try in the studio and get properly matched- I decided upon creamy beige as that’s what I was matched with previously in the Flawless foundation, but not completely certain it’s the right shade. If that changes I’ll edit my review; I am about an NC25/C2. I am in FL now for the winter, so this is my “tan” skin ( or however tan a redhead with freckles gets). For dry skin this is amazing, and won’t show every line and flaw.
The cons: the closest studio up north is in another state; I have to stock up while I’m here. This may be too hydrating for oily skin, so proceed with caution. The shade range might not be inclusive of every skin tone, though they DO have cool, warm and neutral shades.
Overall this is an unsung hero from a completely underrated brand.

This foundation looks Airbrushed on ladies! I personally apply it with my beauty blender and I cant get over how flawless my face looks! I am very pale with tons of freckles and I look like a porcelain goddess when I am done (ok maybe not that good but you get how much I love it)
I purchased the shade “bare” upon the sweet beauty consultants recommendation and It matches me perfectly and never changes color throughout the day

This foundation contains gold, green, green blush, aqua, salmon and lots of highlights! On my face, this makeup perfectly matches me perfectly and is perfect to wear any day.
My skin is oily! This foundation can be applied as a primer, blotting the skin, or as a primer powder. The only thing that stops me from applying it (oh my goodness I can’t believe what i’m doing HERE) is that it was lightly applied to the pores so easily (yes it does appear that way) at first I immediately felt even more matte
I am a 35-year-old MAC junkie so this foundation will need to be applied liberally (it doesnt look after but I always do lol) for the first few weeks. I like to apply this right away and I usually leave it in my bag for at least a week but this shadow is just too perfect to let go because I have so much makeup and i lose my chance to fully be as flawless as I want to be! This foundation really takes a lot of care to blend smoothly. Once it has lather it doesn’t get too dry so at least once a week my skin will start to get a little streaky!! I use this foundation on my face to clear pores and for the first few weeks it does look good and good moisturizing.
These girls really seem like they are trying to cover their imperfections! My skin is pretty oily all the time and this has really helped. It gives me a lot of makeup on my face and I can use it daily as a lathering lip balm and a cream. It’s perfect as a primer because it keeps my makeup nice and smooth and makes my skin look even smoother!! But after a few weeks it gets all twisted and it really messes up my face! I normally would not be afraid to use these products and i say ‘these way better’, but I just feel totally amazed when my skin gets matte as hell (like after applying this brand) and I would say once you strip your complexion is gone and it looks oily!! Now if this is just a gimmick, look at how natural it looks too! In almost every issue if my skin was so susceptible to blemishes or infections this would completely change my look!! I have long had cosmetic treatments that only pique my creativity and influence like this so they worked even better for my skin so the reason why I don’t do them for even more of

Unfortunately, this lovely foundation didn’t work for me- it just didn’t look right due to the shade availability for my very pale skin. That being said, there are excellent things about it that make it work considering. It looks natural, NEVER settles into lines, is buildable, wears fairly well and didn’t break out my really sensitive, acne-prone skin. As a bonus, it has an SPF of 25 (though as with usual sunscreen in foundation, may not be adequate alone). I love the pump bottle and the yellow/neutral shades. It did fade by the end of the day, but very evenly and did not pool, crease or settle at all. It also didn’t transfer on my clothes or make me too oily. Although buildable, this is a fairly light coverage foundation- you’ll need concealer for blemishes. Unfortunately, the lightest shade, Bare, didn’t look right on my very, very pale NC10-15 yellow skin. It didn’t oxidize significantly, just looked a bit muddy. There seems to be an excellent range for mid-toned skin, you may be in luck. Thanks to Merle’s generous samples, I was able to try different formulas and settled on the Lasting foundation instead. It is also too dark for me, but somehow the shade looks better. It also has more coverage. Unlike many reviewers, I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences with the sales staff. Maybe because in Canada, the brand isn’t very established and they need a positive reputation.

I have worn Merle Norman cosmetics for years. I recently tried the Perfesting liquid foundation and was disappointed in this product. This foundation does not wear well at all. I have fair skin and after about an hour this foundation turns orangey.

ladies! merle norman should have more reviews on there makeup. they offer alot of foundations that are great and only 4 differet kind have reviews? im shocked!!
well anyways this perfecting makeup gives you that airbrushed looked. no and i mean no flaws show through this and i have dark spots and uneven skin tone. the colors are true and stay true. does not oxidise. i pair this with merle normans sugar melon blush and dual lip penceil in guave!
come on ladies lets get to reviewing merle mormans products, if you have not tied them you are really missing out. they provide free samples and exceptional customer service!
