Arghhh I was really looking forward to trying this as I have dry skin and this is supposed to look really smooth etc but omg this did not last on a London commute. I got to work and within an hour it was sliding off and looking patchy, just awful! I had to remove it before anybody saw me, nightmare! This is NOT a keeper for me

I have combination leaning towards oily skin and tried this with the Cover FX matte primer and the Hourglass Veil primer. This foundation made me oily within 4 hours and clung to dry spots I didn’t even know existed. I would say it is medium to full coverage if you layer it but full coverage with this foundation looks very cakey.
The packaging is annoying when you are running low because it squirts everywhere. I definitely prefer a pump. It has a very chemical smell that reminds me of the UD Naked foundation smell.
Despite all these issues, I was impressed by their shade range! I am a neutral/warm NC35 and find it hard to find a foundation shade that fits me because neutral foundations are too neutral and warm foundations are too warm. The shade in G70 was perfect for me.

Finally. I have finally found something that works for my Goldilocks skin without breaking it out or not matching in undertone/color, etc.
Cover FX is one of those brands I’ve always really liked, and there’s a lot to like about it. It’s cruelty-free and has a very wide range of shades for foundations for both pale folk and POCs. It’s designed to not upset delicate, sensitive snowflake skin (like yours truly), even though it uses some naturalistic fallacies to market the product.
My experience with the cream foundation was abysmal, and I feared my dry skin wouldn’t take to the mineral foundation all that well. Before the shade G10 was rolled out in the Natural Finish formula, I knew G20 was too dark for me. But G10 works just like a glove. The range is as impressive as you’d find the MUFE Ultra HD selection to be and clearly labels what the undertones are in the formula. I do think the Neutral shades pull a hair more yellow than pink, so that’s something to keep in mind for those that are concerned.
The wear time on this is OK. I do find at the end of the day it looks a little ragged even in fall/winter, but that’s without a finishing powder over the top. I normally use the Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer, but I don’t find that to extend the wear of the foundation. I also believe it oxidizes on me, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It does not oxidize Oompa-Loompa orange, but rather, slightly darker.
For someone with dry skin, I think the best application method for this product is with a Beautyblender. A brush works just as well too (I use the Shiseido foundation brush), but I found fingers makes the coverage look very strong. Right out the starting gate, it is at least medium coverage and it is buildable to full or can be reduced to sheerer with a Beautyblender. I don’t find it catches on dry spots or makes my skin look worse. It does tend to have more of a dewy finish than matte or satin.
One of my favorite things about this foundation, though, is the lack of sunscreen. I know a lot of people like the idea, but you never get enough to confer adequate coverage and all it does is cause flashback in pictures or upset sensitive skin. You’re better off using one underneath. So, if you are looking to get married or have an event where a lot of pictures are going to be taken, this is a great foundation for that.
Ultimately, I’m very pleased with this foundation and will definitely be repurchasing.
Pros:
– Wide variety of shades available
– Undertones are neatly labeled
– Great for sensitive skin
– No sunscreen (great for avoiding flashback in photography)
– Cruelty-free
– Does not emphasize dry patches
– Dewy finish (for those that prefer it)
Cons:
– Wear time is OK (may be better with a powder over top)
– Neutral shades tend to lean slightly yellow
– Oxidizes slightly
– Dewy finish (for those that don’t like it)

I have very reactive allergy and eczema prone skin, and Liquid Cover Fx is the only foundation I can use without breaking out. I can use this foundation even when I have an eczema breakout, and it covers my break outs and looks natural, not overly made up. This foundation really helps me to feel more self confident when my skin is a mess. I am very fair with a pink undertone, and the shade N10 matches my skin perfectly, despite how dark it looks on my wrist.

I just started using this foundation about a week ago and it has slowly becomes my favorite. I have been using Giorgio Armani Luminous silk in 6.5 and purchased this in G50. I have very dry skin and this is dewy, provides medium coverage + does not accentuate my dry skin. It is very thick so a LITTLE goes a long way. I actually mix 1 drop of Josie maran argon oil with this on the back of my hand and it helps to thin it out a little and also provides an extra layer of moisture for me. This will definitely be my go to foundation for the Fall/Winter. I use a brush to apply but can also be done with fingertips or a beauty blender. This is buildable coverage so can go from light to full coverage depending on how much you apply. I am very happy with this foundation and would recommend and definitely repurchase.

I haven’t actually purchased this, but I have worn samples and based my review upon that. I had high hopes, as my skin is dry and the color range is perfect for just about every tone and shade there is.
I’m NC25 in MAC, C2, MUFE 127 or 32 in F&B. My skin is dry to combination; I used to have an oily T zone but now only my nose gets shiny after a bit. I think hormones and autoimmune disease have really contributed to my almost painfully dry skin recently, so a foundation that covers well and doesn’t absorb every drop of sebum is ideal.
So the pros are as follows: great shade match- I think N30-35 is about perfect. The coverage is great and the package easy to dispense product.
Cons: very expensive for my budget. Feels thick on my skin and kind of itchy; I am trying a deluxe sample of the YSL primer as well but I don’t think it’s the primer as I’ve used that on its own and didn’t have a reaction. After a while wearing it I really feel like I have a mask on and want to claw it off.
In conclusion I would suggest a sample first to see if it works for you, because it’s a fair amount to invest if it doesn’t. I far prefer my MUFE HD stick for color match ( perfect!) and feeling like nothing is on my skin.
Updated 6/16: I bought G30 and I think the trick is application; with my Tarte or Shiseido foundation brush it blends in nicely. Finish is satin; not too matte but not full on glowy either. I find using strobe cream underneath helps with the finish ( I like luminous.)
It wears well during the day with only shine breaking through around my nose ( but that’s true of ANY foundation.)
A little goes a long way, so the cost is comparable to other higher end foundations.
I’m also loving the Cover Fx correcting stick ( green) for my rosacea, but will review that separately.

I always come back to this foundation. Because of the price, I have tried to switch up other foundations but always come back to this. I have acne prone skin and this does not irritate or cause pimples at all. I also have oily skin and the reason why I rated it 4/5 is because it is mostly meant for dry skin. It is a water based foundation. Still, It can be used on oily skin. Just put on a good primer before. I really do love this foundation. It is so healthy for your skin unlike other drugstore foundations. It is clinically tested, paraben, fragrance, gluten, mineral oil, talc free, oil free, and vegan! (as stated on the package).

I repurchased this product once after I ran out, but at the time I hadn’t really explored many other foundations before so I thought I was satisfied with this foundation.
However, upon testing other foundations I now realize that this Cover FX foundation is not that great.
It is fairly pigmented, but I found other foundations which evened out my skin tone better, and with way less product than this one requires.
It didn’t break me out but it but it also didn’t give me a natural healthy glow, either. I have since found better foundations and have discontinued using this product.
Will not buy again.

This is my HG foundation hands down! That is a big statement for me to make because I am always trying new foundations and I have never considered any other product ‘HG’ staus before. This foundation is everything that I am looking for and more!
What I look for in a foundation is good coverage that lasts all day and controls my oily skin without looking overly dry or dewy. This foundation exceeds all expectations in all categories!
The first thing I noticed about the range is what a great color selection they have. Cover FX has created a line that could fit any skin tone ranging from fair to deep, as well as any undertone, I highly recommend being color matched before buying this product so you can see it at it’s fullest potential.
Upon immediate application, I found I needed very little product to cover my whole face. As I have blemishes, acne scarring, redness you name it! This product covered all of my concerns beautifully with one layer without looking cakey, I find I used the LEAST amount of concealer after foundation when I use this specific product, I would say this is a satin finish foundation that looks flawless and natural at the same time.
I find this product lasts on my skin throughout the day better than any of my other foundations! I do not feel the need to reapply throughout the day. This product doesn’t sink into any fine lines or accentuate dry patches on my skin. By the end of an 8 hour work shift, there is a little oil beginning to peak through in my tzone, but it’s nothing a little blotting and powdering won’t fix. Considering most products slip right off my face, this foundation stood up like a champ
I honestly cannot say enough good things about this foundation. I recommend this product to all of my friends and family regarless or skintone or skin type. I really think this could work for ANYONE. If you are on the fence, get a sample. I promise after one application you will understand! I will continue to repurchase again and again!

This foundation is currently my new HG!! Very excited to say that! I have very sensitive skin so it’s very important to invest in a good foundation that doesn’t irritate your skin! All drug store foundations and MAC foundations break my skin out like crazy. I use to wear the Estée Lauder double wear (didn’t break me out, great coverage, & long lasting) but I was in the mood to try something new. The Cover FX is paraben free, oil free, and ultimately the most natural looking foundation I have ever used! I am currently using the shade in N35 which is a neutral fair-medium color. The foundation is build-able, and very easy to blend, which ultimately let’s you achieve the coverage you want. For me, since I have many acne scars from cystic acne, I like to have full coverage. The best part is that it leaves you with a natural, non-cake face look! I noticed a lot of people complaining about dewiness, which can be avoided if you set your facial makeup with setting powder or a translucent. Overall it’s a great foundation, with great coverage that doesn’t give the cake face look. Definitely recommend for people who don’t have oily skin though.
