I did not like this. It’s a powder suspended in liquid. The suspension feels good on my skin but that dried and I was left with a powdery face that did crease and highlighted dry patches on my mature skin. I found this gave sheer to medium coverage and was good for diffusing my rosacea. Adding more layers did offer more coverage but it’s a little finicky since it is hydrating at first. Once it dried it settled in fine lines and highlighted dry areas. I ordered medium for my BB Warm Sand, MAC NC 20, Chanel B 20, EL 2N1, Chantecaille vanilla skin tone and it was ok. Fortunately color was sheer enough to work for anyone with light to medium color needs. Brush was nice and really necessary to getting this on without streaks or clumps. Fingers did not work well and beauty sponge soaks up the foundation. Looked ok after application but was all over after about 5 hours. Not transfer resistant or long-wearing. Not MSBB. I was just expecting a lot more because of the price and these 5 star reviews

Skin care and skin blurring? Yes and Yes! Love this foundation, even though it is pricey. The cute little brush is very usable, too!

For some reason I felt the need to buy this as soon as it was released (so right before summer last year in France). I have combination skin and a darker skin tone. Both things that don’t normally tend to be a winner with Chanel complexion products. I purchased medium deep, I wear Cadiz in Nars Sheer Glow for reference. This has minimal coverage and can probably cover a few skin tones because it’s so sheer. This makes your skin look better. I have a few pigmentation marks that I cover with a corrector and concealer after and that solves that problem.
I love that this does not settle in any lines, your face just looks plump and glowing. I will set my t-zone with powder in the morning and once again in the afternoon so not any different from any other foundation. It’s expensive, I use two pumps for my face which drains the bottle quickly. For the price and the brand I would have preferred a glass bottle and not plastic.
I am on my third bottle of this. My skin tone and texture are improving due to skin care and I do think that this is probably enough coverage for me for daily use. If you want something that’s long wearing, it’s definitely not this. On a well moisturized day I can get a solid 6/7 hours from this, so if you need something that can hold up then it’s definitely not this. This is not for you if you have oily skin, or significant imperfections on your face.

One Chanel product that is seriously worth the splurge for people with dry skin and who like the my skin but better look. I love that this skin tint comes with a mini Chanel brush to apply on the go. This has way less coverage than a tinted moisturiser. It just simply/lightly evens out minor skin discolouration and hydrates. The only down side is that is only comes in three or four shades. The shades are very versatile but still not good enough in my opinion. I will definitely repurchase this product over and over as I use it almost every single day. Perfect for the no makeup days/look.

OMG, YES!! This is *exactly* what I’m looking for in a tinted moisturiser! This is like a natural coloured nail polish for the face. It brightens, hides imperfections a bit and gives a glossy finish. Packaging is gorgeous and very functional. I use one pump on moisturised skin with my fingers and it glosses over minor imperfections. The overall feel and experience of using this product is elegant and luxurious. There really is nothing about this product that I don’t like. Maybe that I’m slightly in between colours, I use Medium Light but it is a tiny bit too light for me. Medium is slightly too warm/dark. Price point is okay, it is a bit expensive but hey, it’s Chanel. Will deffo rebuy it.

initially I wanted nothing to do with this gimmicky item but I am somewhat of a Chanel makeup collector so I thought what the heck, I want to try it for myself and I also liked that little brush. At first I found this to be intriguing but seems too good to be true. I kept hearing reviews saying how this gives no coverage and thought to myself, am I just going to slap water on my face and that’s it?
Well that’s not entirely true. I caved in and put in my order with the Macys friends and family sale so I got 15% off and felt a bit better about not spending a lumpsome of 65$ without tax. After trying this out I found a flat top kabuki is best to use to apply for the best results. This is def a sheer serum tint that is intended to give skin a radiant even color without any heavy coverage. I think this is best suited for those who uses a SPF that gives out a white cast. This is perfect to correct that white cast and give you some color back to your complexion without layering too much product. Also if your body is darker than your face and you want to even out the tone to match then this is a wonderful tint for you. Sort of like a self tanner for your face. It feels like a serum but not oily, its more water like and very sensorial. It feels refreshing and I wish I had used this in the summer.
I have this in Medium Light and I am usually a 20 beige in Chanel base products. I find this to be sheer enough to not matter. I could’ve chosen Light and been okay with that as well. I love using this on conjunction with some concealer for the undereyes and my Le Teint Ultra Powder Foundation for a light dust on top of the Water Tint. It doesn’t sit into pores or get patchy because essentially it isn’t a foundation. I must say it is enjoyable in the winter as well because my skin feels so dehydrated and this gives it a drink of water!
Its a product that isn’t a must have but it is luxurious and will give you that radiant hydrated complexion that some want to achieve. It is a tinted serum like product that will help even out the color of your face but won’t feel like anything. Perfect for the gym or when you don’t want to look like you have too much on the face. Lovely product and I personally will continue to use and love throughout winter time and summer, I hope. My only critique is I have to use about 3 pumps for my whole face and I find this to run out faster than other foundations. Very pricey as well but I will check back and update how long the bottle lasted me!!
– ive been breaking out a bit but it can just be a coincidence. i feel like again, this isnt a must have but it is pretty. i wont repurchase but i will continue to use it to see how my skin reacts

I read a review in the Financial Times by a columnist named Jo Baird who said she’s obsessed with it. I had been unhappy with my daily makeup, a medium coverage 50 spf cc. So I thought I’d give it a try. The Chanel stylist put on medium light and I loved it. Today, I put it on over Ceravie spf 30 moisterizer and dabbed my nose area with the old cc cream to tone down the redness. I cannot be more pleased. Yes it’s expensive but it’s really nice!

I am 65 yo (yikes) and absolutely love Chanel foundations. I usually use Vitalumiere because I have extremely dry skin and like the glow that this formula provides. I also love the CC foundation, too, When I saw the news about this product, I was interested to try it since there were many positive reviews. I did not want to order online because of shade choice, I have fair skin and the Chanel consultant chose the medium-light shade for me. When I took it out of the box at home, I was a little concerned because in the bottle it appears dark. She applied some on my hand and it looked fine, Today I tried it, I do need full coverage so that was not a concern, I applied concealer to under-eye area and on a sunspot. Then I applied the foundation. It gave a nice hydrated effect with a slight blurring. I do not use primer so I did not have the peeling that some others described. This is perfect for the summer and when the temperatures cool down I may apply this on top of my vitalumiere unless it makes me like a discoball, haha! I am also curious to see if I put my Blanc de Chanel on first and this on top, what it might look like, This may not work for everyone’s needs but it is a very interesting product and not inexpensive, If you were considering this, perhaps go to the Chanel counter and try first. I migjt buy a back-up in case they decide to discontinue it.

My skin: dry sensitive flaky redness
My Environment: cold windy very dry dusty
I bought the medium-light shade.
Pros:
– beautifully fused oil-water (gel)-foundation.
– Colour is yellow-beige tone (not pinky)
– It comes with a mini brush
– it works as a tinted moisturiser that calms my flakes, dryness, moisturize, hid bit of redness and gives dewy finish (This was soooo much better than clinique’s tinted moisturiser)
– not too strong perfume
– does not oxidise. I wore the product for 9hours and it did not change the colour (usually moisturizing products oxidise after few hours).
– I received many ***compliments*** from people!
Cons:
– the mini brush slightly hurts my skin when i use it. Not the best brush.
– The product does not give you much coverage and NO sun protection.
– balls up with other silicon base products
– colour is limited and very sheer
– price
Since it is expensive product i prefer To pump the product out on my face or on an empty pallet, rather than on the back of the hand. Also i apply this on the top of other moisturizers and sunscreens. This never become sticky on your skin, but balls up if you apply right after prepping your skin. So wait until the base dries and settles down, then apply this. I do not use finishing powder.
I tested and hesitated for few months but eventually bought it from david jones for $109AUD. This is total luxury and worth the money.

Since EvaVic has provided her comprehensive, expertly description of this product, I will only add a few personal comments how I use this product and what I view as its main characteristics.
In short: This sheer hydrating “foundation” fluid is really all it takes for my skin to look its best. I rarely wear foundation, but what I am after every day is the coveted glow. My skin is on the drier side, and rather light, for reference I use 20 in the Chanel CC Cream and Beige 10 in their concealer. I experience an occasional spell of redness in the center of my face, and I’m always on the hunt for products that make my skin feel hydrated and calm. So anyone who is looking for real coverage is likely not going to care much for the Eau de Teint. I was thrilled from the start when I experienced the cooling, hydrating effect upon application, and the soft blurring effect this gives my skin. The pigment is really really light and while initially it looks like nothing happened, I find it quite flattering. As my skin tone is a light neutral I prefer the Light shade. I first purchased Eau de Teint in Europe where only three of the six available shades were offered at the time, with Medium Light being the lightest choice. This shade is a decent enough match, but in the US where all six shades are offered, I immediately also ordered Light and now I end up mixing the two shades and it works perfectly. One pump of each shade on the back of my hand, applied by the wonderful little brush Chanel includes in the Eau de Teint package starting in the center of my face, moving brushing outward. With its short handle it’s perfect for travel and can be used for any kind of liquid foundation. After Eau de Teint, I simply add blush and bronzer and I’m good to go. Packaging is very good, the two-phase product comes in a nice frosted plastic pump, and you can see how much is left in the package as you start using it which I really appreciate. After 4 weeks of almost daily use I am about a third through both bottles, so two thirds of a bottle since I use two shades in parallel at this time to use up the Medium Light. Once I run out of the Medium Light I will most likely only repurchase the Light and use that going forward. I already ordered a backup of Light and will continue using this as long Chanel offers it. In the US it retails for $65 for 1oz./30ml and this being such an innovative high tech product which comes with a high quality dense foundation brush I think the price is somewhat reasonable for what you get. For me this is a real winner.
