I paid 33€ for this and i regret it AF! Is the worst makeup foundation that i have tried. First of all it doesn’t match the color of my skin (fair). Second, leaves your skin cakey, patchy in some places.(combination skin).and the price is just ridiculous cause is a shitty product. The Fit Me make-up foundation costs 7 € and is waaay better than that.

Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation is a lightweight skin perfecting foundation. It comes in a small square bottle (30ml – standard foundation size even though it seems small) and you squeeze the bottle to get foundation out. I simply squeeze directly onto my face, as it is quick and less messy this way. I then spread a little with my fingers and blend with a sponge. This foundation gives a light coverage and definitely lives up to its name by blurring pores very well. I have larger pores and it does make my skin look smooth and even. It also doesn’t look cakey or heavy – definitely a ‘no makeup’ or ‘my skin but better’ look. It wears well, lasting all day when used with primer. I do set with powder, but it doesn’t become oily during the day. The finish is definitely a soft natural looking matte, not a dry or flat looking matte. I also have no issue applying a variety of other makeup over the top (blush, concealer etc). Overall it is a great everyday foundation and I would recommend it to anyone seeking a natural look.

I like some of Benefit’s products, but this foundation was not one of them. Ulta had a great sale and the packaging looked so cute I had to get it. I’m a sucker for trying all different types of foundations! I ordered this online in 03, which is listed on the website as light-neutral. I tend to be in between yellow and neutral depending on the brand and formulation. This one was too dark and slightly orange on me. I returned this product, but not due to shade. There was a lighter shade that may have been a better match, but I was very disappointed in the wear. I understand a light formula, but this seemed to disappear completely on my skin after about 4 hours. A primer and setting spray helped it last a bit longer, but it truly looked like I was not wearing anything after an unreasonable amount of time. I should back up a bit – upon application, the makeup looked great! It was easy to apply and looked really lovely. It felt sheer but provided some coverage. Generally I lean towards a true medium (I hate products marketed as “buildable” where basically you just glob on more product to get “medium”. I want a foundation that is medium out of the gate), but this is marketed as light-medium. I tried this a few different times but it does not seem worth it to have a product only last about 4 hours. I can’t remember another foundation working like this, but I’m sure there’s been one in the past.
I also am not a fan of the squeeze bottle. It had some shipping issues where a bunch of it just flowed out of the tip when I first opened it, and it was difficult to get most of the product back into the tip. Would not repurchase.

Became way too slick looking very quickly. Went straight in the bin.

I loved the other foundation they released before and this is in the same level. I loved how it felt light and in a humid country where i live this is great. I liked its coverage.

Pretty , natural and blendable coverage. Comes off very natural and not overwhelmingly cakey. it’s buildable too if you want extra coverage. I felt it was long lasting and had spf. No complaints.

This is my first foundation ever, but I think it’s actually really great. I researched a lot and there were both good and bad reviews but I think that it really depends on the products you use alongside this foundation. I like the packaging, because I like the color pink and I like the cute happy face design. I think people complaining about the design being unprofessional isn’t thinking enough, because the cute, relatively “childish” design stays true to Benefit’s products–which are packaged colorfully and usually have a whimsical vibe. I don’t know any other foundations that have a metallic pink cap.
Anyways–I have combo skin but I used the Fenty Pro Filtr primer before using this foundation, and Laura Mercier’s translucent setting powder after. It lasted me all day with barely any cracking except the corners of my mouth (I’m esp dry there) and really didn’t oxidise enough for me to notice, esp since I got shade 3–a shade very slightly lighter than my skin tone. Usually, the skin tone on your face will be slightly lighter than the rest of your body, so I think that the oxidation isn’t really a problem if you begin with the right shade. Give the foundation a chance, it might give you a pleasant surprise. 🙂
(I applied with brush, btw.)

I wrote a review for the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen (posted underneath), it was meant for this. Fab product, will be in my makeup kit permanently!
I’m shocked this foundation has such a low score. It’s sitting up there with my other HG foundation, NARS luminous. I bought this to try out when I do makeup for mature age skin (mua) for weddings, for women wanting a very natural look. I’m impressed. Incredibly staying power obv when used with a good primer and setting powder, still leaves a dewy finish and looks flawless but natural. Love it!

When I found this foundation, I was specifically looking for a liquid base that would just do a little color correction and smoothing/blurring. I’ve had bad luck in the past with tinted moisturizers getting too greasy, and was excited to find this – thinner but still pigmented, not greasy, and once it was on, I couldn’t feel it on my face at all. It applied well and was easy to blend out – easy to throw on when it’s hot or a full face just isn’t in the cards. I applied it to freshly washed skin each time I wore it, and don’t typically use primers unless I put on a little moisturizer or sunscreen. In this case, I applied straight to skin, no primers or other base layers underneath. It was everything I was looking for. Easy, low maintenance, barely there but cancelled out redness, even cute packaging.
But then came the orange.
My shade match was great (I purchased Shade 3). When applied, and for around 15 minutes after, it was a good match for my normal shade (NC 20/25-ish in summer, currently Too Faced Born This Way in Warm Nude). When I apply liquid base products, I put it on the back of my hand and then dab on my face and blend, which is originally how I noticed the oxidization. I hadn’t looked in a mirror since applying and was walking outside, looked down at my hand, and saw the deep orange spot where the foundation had been. When I later looked in the mirror, it looked like I’d applied a very orange fake tanner. Typically I blend my foundation a bit down my jaw and neck, and it REALLY stood out in that area. I may have been able to hide the orangeness in darker lighting, but in any natural, fluorescent, or brighter light in general, it was pretty obvious.
I wore it a few more times, just to see if maybe I’d done something, if the shade was off, etc. Each time, within 30 minutes, it became a deep orange. At that point, I decided to return it. For lighter coverage days, I’ll just stick to my Born This Way sheered out with a little moisturizer.
Had it not been for the oxidization, I think my review of this product would be really positive. Great texture, weight, and application if you’re looking for something easy and low maintenance. Good if you want your skin to look like your skin – it’ll even out color but not hide much in the way of blemishes, but if you just want your face to look like your face but with smoother coloration, that’s not necessarily a bad thing (and is what I was going for). But damn, y’all, it was like…Texas Longhorn orange.

Beautiful finish! I usually like medium to full coverage and find I can easily build this up beautifully, I find it best applied with a duo fiber buffing brush. I always set mine with the porefessional primer & translucent powder and it lasts all day while staying very lightweight. Very impressed with this as I didn’t have high hopes.
