Wow! Generally very impressed with this foundation. Can’t believe I haven’t tried this before given I prefer medium to full coverage and have somewhat oily skin. Went on really smoothly and provided a good amount of coverage. Could also be built up nicely. Matte finish but natural, doesn’t look too heavy or cakey like you’ve got loads of make up in your face. Applied at 7am and by 3pm no oil had come through at all, no shine, no creasing and hadn’t needed to blot my face like I do with most foundations. I can say the same for by 7pm. I basically didn’t need to touch this up or apply any more over the course of the day. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be able to make this my regular foundation because I can’t find the right shade. 180 was slightly too dark and too pink and made me look muddy, dropping down to 150 was too light and flat. A real shame because the formula is right up there as one of the best long-lasting foundations I have ever tried.

I used the shade 150 buff and it is a touch light for my olive NC18 skin tone but has a great undertone for me(The normal/dry skin version in the same shade is a DIFFERENT colour). This foundation has what I’d consider to be medium-high coverage and I do think it lasts pretty well on the skin(no breaking down) but it does not control oil or smooth over any dry patches I might have. I do think it sometimes looks a little heavy, especially if I don’t use a sponge to apply. After using up a whole bottle I think I would repurchase it because it is reliable and easily accessible, but I do find it pretty expensive(I would only buy it if it were to be on sale).

Coverage: Medium to nearly full
Finish: Matte
Lasting Power: 8 hours (on super oily, sweaty skin)
Oil Control: 4 hours, 6 hours after: slightly oily
Pros:
– Convenient Packaging with a Pump
– Good price
– No problem with smell
– Good coverage and acceptable wearing time.
Cons:
– Rather chalky, powdery look if put 2 layers
– Not completely full coverage, just about more than medium, build up too much will look cakey, thick.
– Fast drying, so apply on small area and blend fastly.
– It won’t last 24 hours, just decent 8->12 hours or more depend on your skin condition and weather.
– Pretty thick and contain silicones, so if you’re not compatible to it, can cause acne if wearing long time so need to be removed well.
– Shades are limited for all skin tones, Warm golden is too pink and light for NC30, other shades is too dark.

I was on the hunt for a foundation that would work for my oily skin without having to blot. No such luck. Decent coverage and I love the pump. However, this foundation broke me out really badly, probably due to the cyclopentasiloxane in it. The hunt continues…

This foundation and I have a love-hate relationship.
I rarely wear makeup so when I have to I do like to actually look like I’m wearing some and this foundation does stay on great and looks solid once makeup is finished, but it is pretty thin/more watery than expected so I do feel like I have to apply more than usual.
After the second use i woke up with some sort of rash maybe? A big section of my forehead going to the top of my eyelid and also down the side of my face and a little of my cheek was very rough/gritty and kinda itched at first. Fortunately it’s not a pimples or acne type of breakout but I do have sensitive skin. I’m thinking it just clogged the crap outta my pores.
I’ve never broken out like that and I hadn’t changed anything in my routine/diet except for this foundation and since I haven’t used it for a few days the roughness is going back down, slowly but surely.
It is a shame cause it’s some pretty decent foundation.

This is definitely not a matte finish. Immediately after applying, it looks dewy so I set it with loose powder and a big fluffy brush. Even then, by the end of the day, it’s once again dewy. I attribute this to the SPF as SPF is inherently greasy. But it’s a trade-off – do you want sun protection or a completely matte face? It’s like you have to choose. I choose the SPF since I want to preserve my skin.
The coverage is medium; it completely covers my slightly rosy complexion all day long. And I’m satisfied with the shade selection. I have yellow undertones and my perfect match is Golden Beige. Packaging is excellent in a glass pump. It’s hygienic to use and you can always see how much product you have left in the bottle. I would repurchase until something better comes along!

The worst ever. Oh my, the first hour it was ok, like set fairly well. By the time I got to work it was cakey & extremely oily to the t-zone. I tired it various times, even using different techniques to apply it to nil avail. Half way through a shift at work I had to remove it because it looked that awful, I was embarrassed!!!!
My natural acne-scarred skin looked much better than this Revlon colourstay crap they call makeup!

Been using this for years by mixing 180 sand beige with 300 golden beige to get a nc30 match with yellow undertone but now I can get 290 natural ochre if I’m fairer or 295 dune with a tan. They have descriptions of undertones for each color on the revlon website. I can’t figure out if they’ve always had these other shades or if they’re new. They only carry a limited shade selection at the Walmart by my house so I buy online now.

HG drugstore foundation. Great coverage. Easy to blend. Lasts 14 hours + on my oily skin. The best!

I have been using this foundation for years. It gives solid medium coverage. It can be built up to full coverage on problem areas. It looks natural. It stays on all day at work for 12 hour shifts. It doesn’t break me out even if I’m bad and fall asleep with a full face of makeup on. I love this stuff.
