I bought this foundation in Brownie and the color matches perfectly but after five hours I was very oily even though I primed my face, used setting powder, and used matte setting spray and my oil still came through. After using blotting paper the foundation looked good again. The price is great and it does dry very quickly so work in small sections. It comes with a spatula applicator but I wish it had a pump.

I purchased this foundation in shade Butterscotch at Walmart with a $1 off coupon, so it cost me less than $3. Its definitely a great value. It dries very quickly, so blend fast. I’d prefer a pump but the spatula works ok. It has a medium coverage but it builds well if you need it. I was fine with one coat coverage. Use a primer! For the most part, I’m satisfied with my purchase and I’ll likely buy again.

I purchased this foundation in the shade Brownie. The match was perfect. I am an NW45 in MAC. I am also very oily. I prime with MOM and I use a matte finishing powder and this foundation made me shiny. I mean I didn’t make it to lunch time before having to blot. As for the packaging, not sure what that spatula attached to the cap is supposed to do. In my opinion all liquid foundations should have a pump. The price is super cheap. If I am ever in a bind when I travel and I see this I may pick it up if my two Cover Girl picks are not available. Other than that I won’t repurchase this.

For $5, I found a medium coverage foundation that perfectly matches my skin tone with a light feel and demi-matte finish. WIN!
It comes in a plain square glass bottle with a spatula applicator top. The texture is light-weight but it dries really fast, so it can apply streaky if you don’t blend it quickly. It is slightly sheer, so I’d say medium coverage, but it can be built up a little before caking up. Starts off very matte and remains almost matte throughout the day for my combination skin. Mid-day t-zone blotting is all I need. Not very long-wearing without primer. By the end of the day, it is fading away but not blotchy or oily.
I couldn’t tell which color to get so I bought three: cocoa bean, brownie, and cashmere. Black Radiance is one of the few brands with tonal variety in the deeper shades. For me, cashmere looked too light in the bottle, but turned out to be a perfect match – the best color match I’ve ever found. It darkens slightly once it oxidizes, I guess. Brownie is also wearable but a bit too red toned for my winter complexion. Cocoa bean is a tad too dark. It has little to no scent.
For the price, it is definitely worth a try for us darker complexion ladies. It is a good every day foundation – best for evening out my skin to a natural finish.

Positive- The only good thing about this product is that it’s cheap and it matched my shade perfectly and it’s oil free.
Negative- it is not long lasting! By the end of the day the foundation completely fades, my face will have patches in some area where the foundation has completely faded. It also makes my face look cakey.
I will not be buying this product again and I will not recommend it to anyone who has their makeup on for 5+ hour. Basically anyone looking for a long lasting foundation, this one is not for you.

Okay i dont know if its just me but this damn foundation looks nothing like it does INSIDE the bottle . i went to walmart & saw what looked like my skin color from the bottle & when i got home i put it on & when this shit dries it turns black !! idk if mines was old or what cause i bought 2 & they both got wayy darker when it dried . The price was good but i gotta get another foundation smh .

After giving this a high review, I regret that I have to retract my statement. After a week of trying this, I ended up taking all of my BR makeup products back to the store. Not only did it leave my skin oily, but overtime of wearing it, my face started to look cakie. For this to be a product designed for African American women, I felt that color matches should be more expanded than the colors currently offered. Also, after a few days of wearing it, it faded after just a few hours on my face. It didn’t hold up against perperation too well and it started running off my face. If you someone who works in a job that requires a lot of movement and you sweat from it, I would not recommend purchasing this product. This is just my personal experience, but I’m sure it might work for someone else better. I have yet to find a quality makeup line suited for black women that was truly outstanding, especially for darker women.

Wow! I bought this in Cocoa Bean and love it. It goes on extremely matte and is odorless. The color match is awesome. For reference, I have very dark brown skin with minor reddish undertones. I typically have to get either the darkest to second to the darkest shade in ethnic makeup.
Update: I decided to get rid of this. It is extremely red and a little too dark for me. Unfortunately, the next shade up is too light. This is a common problem for me.

Can you say “holy grail”?? I have never found a foundation that matches me perfectly – I always have to mix a light and dark shade and create my own perfect color but that wastes product and money after a while. I have a warmer brown skin tone, darker than nc45 but lighter than nc50 so it can be difficult for me to find products that don’t make me look too pale or too dark but I found it! My previous “foundation” was actually Sally Hansen’s airbrush makeup for legs (weird I know, but it was literally THE only thing that matched my face) but when I ran out I wanted to switch back to a real foundation. I searched through a million other formulas and couldn’t find anything until finally I came across Black Radiance. My color in this line is Mocha Honey. This matches me PERFECTLY and it’s half the cost of the Sally Hansen spray I was using before. I love this and swear by it. And it’s only $4.99 a bottle so I couldn’t pass it up. I wish I would’ve found it sooner.

I just bought this foundation in the color rum spice, and this is perfect. The price is cheap but the quality is not. It is light to medium coverage just what I need personally, and I just love it. My new go to foundation!
