I`ve been wearing this for a few weeks now in the lightest shade Beige 01. While my skin is combination-oily, I haven`t had any problems with excess shine from this. However I did powder before going out and right now it`s not hot summer weather.
The Good: I like the sheer to medium coverage it provides and the color matches my skin pretty well. It lasted 8 hours in relatively pleasant spring weather. Needs more testing for workouts/warmer weather. It has a decent amount of sun protection (SPF 25 PA ++++). It gives a glowy finish without appearing too oily as time passes. Doesn`t oxidize, looks natural.
The Bad: Although it is liquid foundation, it did settle more in the pores around my nose than my regular foundation does. A serious sweep-over with a flat-top kabuki solved that problem, but I wouldn`t want to do that every day. It`s pricier than my current daily favorites, Koh Gen Do Aqua and Astalift.
Now I live in Asia, so have access to good Japanese base makeup. However if I were to move to North America or Europe, I would definitely consider buying this foundation.

This is my not favourite Guerlain foundation, but it is beautiful to apply and adds a luminous healthy glow to the skin. It’s just the effect this has on my skin – having a Normal/Combination complexion prone to the “shines” in the T-Zone after a few hours if I wear anything too moisturisng I get a bit too glowy – and due to the moisturising properties in this foundation it does tend to oxidise on me and go quite a lot darker.
My skin is NC 15 with a yellow undertone so while 01 Beige Pale is usually a great match in the Guerlain foundations, because this one tends to oxidise on me quite a bit I’m thinking it will be better suited as a summer time with a bit of a tan going on foundation.
This would be great for someone who tends more to Normal to Dry or Dry skin. It’s a lovely formula to apply, 2 pumps is more than enough for a light to medium easily build-able coverage. I have found the best way to apply this is with a very slightly dampened flat top kabuki, you get plenty of time to blend in for flawless healthy looking skin.
I havn’t completely ruled this one out and will give it another good go in the summertime. I purchased this from strawberry.net
