it is the worst foundation i have ever come across, it creates a heavy mask on the face and it is difficult to see any mimics. the colours are equally awful, i had 4 that made me look like Bart Simpson. Just really not worth spending a single penny on it.

Although it covers great, my pores seem to accentuated even more so than without any foundation. I have combo skin with no dry patches. I am over 60 and most foundations for mature ladies are made for those with dry skin. I had high hopes for this but it is just not for me. There are others with the same price point that work better for me.
One word for those that this works well for; less is more. The coverage is amazing but it will look cakey and accent the lines if a heavy hand is used.

I’m a Nars girl at heart but on a certain Saturday when I was feeling a bit meh, I visited the CT counter in town and asked one of the assistants to colour match me for this foundation. We tried about 3 and the one which worked best was 5 Warm (not what the website suggested btw so be warned, it’s not infallible). She then did my full face and reader – I was sold. This probably isn’t a foundation for everyone but with the right prep, it’s brilliant. The secret is to use the CT Magic Cream underneath it, plus REN Perfect Canvas. And be soaring with the foundation. Use a brush too. I know it sounds like a lot of faff, but it’s worth it. Foundation will last through a full day’s work and a night out and really is flawless. Highly recommended (but still really love Nars Sheer Glow the most…)

I have this in shade 3 neutral (NW15, Fenty 150). Good color match. This foundation is the closest CF dupe to old skool ELDW I’ve tried. On first application, I thought “no, too flat matte” but it’s one of those foundations that looks better later on in the day than when first applied. It felt lighter on the skin than ELDW but provided substantial coverage with one pump. I dabbed a little extra on problem areas and did not need to follow-up with concealer. I would not layer this too much for fear of cake face, but one light layer appeared very natural. I wore this for about 8 hours and it looked great at the end of the day. I don’t think it needs to be set with powder unless your super oily as it has a matte finish and dries down quickly. I do wish I’d bought this more for summer than winter, but I think it will work if I prep skin well. I would not recommend for dry skin types or those that want a dewy look (light wonder is a better choice for those). If you like ELDW, you’ll like this one. Edit 12/2/19: I wore this for a full work day and it looked cakey and very dry in daylight. I will be returning this one.

My skin is dry however I always have taken very good care of myself so is in excellent condition , that said I was curious to try this foundation so I had a sample from Nordstrom , I did not like it , it does have good coverage and is easy to apply but I could feel the dryness creeping in , my go to foundation is La Prairie in winter and YSL all hours foundation in the summer , on the more budget friendly side I love IT foundation and Josie Maran when I am particularly dry.

Disclaimer: I did not purchase this product. I asked for a sample at Sephora to “try before I buy”. After a few uses, I’ve come to the conclusion that this did not meet my needs as a foundation. I was given 5 Neutral to try on, and it matched my skin tone quite well, however after only a couple hours of wear, my T-zone was showing up quite oily; this happened each and every time I wore it regardless of wearing primer or no primer underneath it. There’s also a very distinct smell to the foundation, which I found a bit off-putting. Add to that the cost of $44.00 at Sephora, and it’s enough to have me say “No Thanks” for purchasing this foundation. I shall continue on with my search for a good high-end foundation for my skin needs.
