I was looking around for a foundation that would not settle into my fine lines and pores. I’m finding foundations and powders are really accentuating my lines making me look older.
I was poking around my local drugstore and I saw this was market down, probably since they’re changing the packaging, so I picked it up to try. So far i’m really liking it. It applied smoothly as it is full of silicones like the other reviewer said, so I wouldn’t recommend it for oily skin types. For me it lasted all day on my normal/combo skin. I don’t know how it will hold up in humidity but i’ll keep wearing it in the summer if I can. I applied it over my Clinique pore refining primer and set it with a touch of luminous powder by Marcelle.
I took off a lippie because some of the ingredients are not the healthiest; I don’t like that they put Octinoxate but it’s only 2% and hasn’t irritated my skin. (i’m allergic to most chemical sunscreens) I do like that they put titanium dioxide in it as a sunscreen which is good.
I even got compliments on my complexion while wearing this! Anyone looking for a foundation for fine lines and wrinkles should try this.

I love this foundation!
Like many women my age – I’m 63 – I’ve tried all of the foundations out there. But, honestly, I’m tired of paying close to triple digits. I purchased a handful of Cover Girl foundations (thanks for the coupons, CVS!) and I am surprised by their performance.
I apply this with fingers: a sponge applies too much and it simply moves around with a brush. It’s very silicone-y but if you apply a light layer, it really does look like skin with a medium coverage. It tones down my rosacea, and covers faded blemishes pretty well. But it is by no means full coverage. I can build it on my red nose with a second thin layer.
I do think success with this formula is all about application. If you’ve been watching YouTube videos with the young women and men demonstrating their techniques and think you can apply like they apply, you’ll be tossing it in the trash.
But I’m old school – Way Bandy old school, who used to mix foundation with water and moisturizer (you can’t do that with silicones) – so a thin layer works for me.
Cover Girl really needs to work on the shade range. But this was the best match of all of the other CG foundations I purchased.
Love the pump and the little plastic bottle is travel and purse-friendly. Plus it has a smidge of sunscreen.
Powder blush applies easily on top without any setting powder.
I started my love affair with make-up back in 1967 using Cover Girl. The foundation came in light, medium and dark and that’s it! I like the idea that I am (probably) ending my make-up exploration years with the same brand.

I bought this thinking it may work like their Simply Ageless However, although it appiles & finishes nicely – I’ve had 2 forehead pimples since. So unfortunate considering I paid $19 CAD & the soft honey shade was perfect. I’m hoping since Ive got combo skin & get dry in the winter that I can use it then. Will update when season changes.

I purchased this foundation after reading the reviews in my age bracket. For me, this was terribly drying from the very first moment. It has an expiration a year away, Aug/2018, so I guess that isn’t it. It just didn’t work for me. Settled in the fine lines and dry patches appeared that weren’t there before I applied it. Just doesn’t work for me I guess. On goes the search!

I really want to like this foundation but I just can’t because none of the shades match me. Its all too pink. I bought two different colors and neither match. Its a shame. Its under $9 at Walmart, has SPF and has a fragrant smell, which is pleasant. Its somewhat thick and covers decent. But, I just can’t use it because I look ashy and Orange. This is not for my fellow warm toned gals. Step up your color range Cover girl

I have this in Buff Beige 125 but I can’t wear it because its too pink for me. Sad because it was the most yellow color they had. I wish CG would join the new millenium and give us some more yellow, gold, olive, and tan based colors. I think they’ve been making the same colors for 60 years.
You may not want to try this for another reason. According to the CG site, its beeen discontinued.
update 5/2016 – I’m taking away a star. Advanced Radiance Age Defying liquid doesnt improve the appearance of problem areas. It slides right off of acne and scars. And it isnt buildable. It looks great on great skin, but thats not why most people wear foundation.

Love it! I had decided that YSL Touche Eclat foundation was my HG foundation, but it’s $67, and you go through it rapidly. After 3 weeks if using it 5 days a week, I only have 1/6 left. I started looking for drugstore foundation for work, thinking I would use YSL for dates, etc, and I think I actually like this better than the YSL! I bought at Walgreens for $12, but see that it is cheaper at Target, etc.
It looks and feels like light coverage, but in actuality, it covers a lot! I love the smell, very fresh, green scent. It seems to last a long time, but honestly, it’s so natural looking, I can’t tell if it’s still on 9 hours later, or if my skin just looks that good, ha!
I have normal skin, and this foundation makes me look RADIANT and glowy, but not shiny. I tried CG loose powder over it, (great powder that smells like vintage foundation, ick, but worth it, and the smell wears off), which made it look semi-matte. I do my makeup in 5 minutes, & rarely have time for powder, so I don’t find powder essential.
I love this foundation, it feels great, looks great.
I have light olive skin, and the buff beige color is perfect. The color stays true all day, no orange or pink. I tried several drugstore foundations, and this is by far the best. (Rimmel, btw, made me look like I had an awful spray tan, turned orange quickly. I strongly recommend not buying the Rimmel.)
I love this foundation. Absolutely no cons. Ps-Before this purchase, I only wore YSL and Tom Ford everything, so I’m very picky.
I only wish I could find a drugstore eyeshadow that doesn’t flake. The YSL & Tom Ford are xlnt and never crease, & wear like iron.

Silky smooth and sort of oily if not set with powder. I am not going buy again it broke me out and color ranges aren’t ready for darker side of olives and bronze etc. Believe that there’s better out there than this. Save you’re money this is a fail.

I really like the coverage and natural finish this foundation provides. It goes on smoothly and blends well with a brush. I used to use it back in high school, and really don’t know why I stopped. My best friend always wanted to borrow it because she loved the smell…but the weird thing is the smell is a BIG PROBLEM because of the main person who has to smell it: My boyfriend complains that I smell like playdoh when I wear it and doesn’t want to come near me haha :'( I actually I blend my makeup down onto my neck and chest out of habit because I have acne scarring from when I was a teen. Normally he loves to lie on my chest and kiss my face, but when I wear this he won’t do any of that, doesn’t want to come near me, and won’t stop telling me I smell like it over my perfume. He’s not one to drill anything in, so for him to repeat it over and over, means he absolutely can’t stand it. That’s honestly the only reason I won’t buy it again. If it blends with your body chemistry well, I would definitely recommend it.

This foundation is a great drugstore find! I picked this up in “Buff Beige” along with the matching powder in “Creamy Natural #110”, and both are good color matches for an NC25. This is lightweight, silky, and has an almost mousse like texture. The coverage is light to medium, and the finish is satin matte. If I buff this in with a dense flat top brush, I could almost skip powder, but I set my super oily t-zone with the matching powder. Another pro, is that this has SPF 10, albeit a low SPF, but at least it provides both UVA and UVB protection. This also comes in an airless pump bottle, which means you get every last bit out, in an easy and sanitary fashion. This has a slight, but pleasant scent. I would re-buy!
